I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at Magnolia Eye Care. The receptionists, assistant and Dr. are incredibly friendly and helpful. I had been unable to wear contacts for a year, and the doctor gave me several trial pair of contacts (at no charge) to try until I found one that worked for me. I am finally able to wear contacts again thanks to the Dr.'s patience and expertise. I have never had to wait long for my appointment. One time I walked in with a pair of glasses I needed tightened. Even though I didn't buy the glasses there, the assistant was happy to help me and give me tips on how to fix them myself. The overall experience at Magnolia Eye Care is what I would expect from any professional medical office. I would recommend them to anyone!

If you have lots of free time to wait around while the doctor switches among several patients with you being just a number on their conveyor belt and the medical assistant barely making an effort to paste a fake smile on her face, then this place is for you. Their lack of basic etiquette as well as my realization of the fact that they're just out to make money ensured that I'll never come back. (They were just a little too pushy with a certain brand of contacts they kept insisting on instead of what I was asking for. When I insisted on a popular brand of contacts that I've been using for years, the medical assistant got visibly annoyed, threw away the trial pair that she brought out, and told me I needed to come back in two weeks without offering even a basic apology. The doctor didn't bother to come out. Likewise, I never had an optometrist slap an extra $60 fee on me for a contact trial--not until I came here that is; their explanation for the fee was that contact lenses are a "medical device"--literally!) On a separate occasion, they suggested a new frame for the glasses that they deemed unfixable and whih I fixed down the street for $15. There are just too many other places in Seattle where one might actually get a service unlike Magnolia Eye Care too busy blatantly chasing their business interests.
