I have delivered twice through this office. I love Dr. Sizemore, Dr. Anderson, Dr. Smith, and Dr. Mulhulland . Dr. Howerton isn't bad-though I disagree with his strategy for pressuring me into inducing labor. Most of the PAs are nice, friendly and seem to be with it. I especially like Tina Branson and Marie Harris. Jamera Thompson was OK. Andrea Doyle seemed unexperienced, new, and like she had never even personally had any issues as a female to compare with...Dr. Custodio kinda gives me the creeps-but that might just be me. Dr. Turner, and Dr. Rose are on my NO-GO list. I refuse to see them. If I was delivering and they were on call, I'd probably go to KGH instead. The wait in the office is at least 45 minutes-usually more than an hour...I've even waited up to 2 hours before. It was pretty hard with a 1 1/2 year old last time tagging along. They didn't check birthdates when they made appointments for me last time -and instead made them under someone else who had a similar name. They also cancelled my appointments without letting me know and tried to make me do my 1st OB appointment for my 40 week appointment. My first pregnancy had many complications. None of which were recorded in my records. They also didn't mention that they were watching me for pre-eclampsia until I came in and they said, "Well, we've noticed some indicators of pre-eclampsia for a while...we're going to induce you tomorrow." My last pregnancy they tried to pressure me into being induced, even though I was very much against it. I wasn't having any complications and the baby was healthy. They told me "If we don't fit you in today, you wont be able to be induced for 3 weeks." So, either the baby comes early or I was going to cause harm to my baby by waiting. It was ridiculous!

It's too bad I've had so many upsetting appointments and experiences through this company. The nurses are always nice and helpful, most of the doctors and PAs are as well. There have been many frustrating conversations on the phone with the office staff over billing, appointments, and lost appointments. If I can help it I am not going here again.

Dr. Kevin Turner did a fantastic job doing my C-Section for my son. I think he is a wonderful doctor. I would recommend him to anyone that needs a caring, highly skilled doctor.

I have been going to APW for 10 years now. Dr. Turner performed both of my C-Sections, my first one being high risk delievery, my second was with twins. I had a partial hysteroctemy a week ago, and I am EXTREMELY happy with my care. Dr. Turner did a fantastic job with all of my surgeries. I have had minamal recovery time as well. I will continue to go to APW. I love Dr. Turner and his staff.

I went to Dr. Kenton Sizemore when he lived in Utah, and I couldn't have had a better doctor. He delivered four of my five children (he had moved before my fifth pregnancy), and also took care of me during an ectopic pregnancy. I would give my recommendation for him to any one in your area where he practices. You won't find a more skilled or compassionate doctor.

I went there because I lived in walking distance of the place and I got a recommendation from my sister in law. I went there for my full 9 months of my pregnancy but I more felt like I was stuck going there because it was to late to change doctors. I like only three doctors there doc smith, thompson, and howerton. There is another but i forgot his name. I had many bad expereiences the biggest on is being kicked out of the hospital with pre eclamsia that was over the top. I was supposed to be induced on the 9th smith told me that i was but Doc mulholland said that with blood pressure of 198/120 is normal and said that I was being selfsish and I was going to murder my baby cause Im an unfit mother. The wait time is horrible in the office. Im definitly not going to go back there ever again for my second kid. Because of them I am still having complications from surgery 8 months after the c section

Like the other reviewers I have waited over a hour in the waiting room and over an hour in the exam room. With my last pregnancy I had 3 doctor appointments last over 3 hours long. For two of those I had my 2 year old at the time daughter in tow because babysitting fell through. Dr. Anderson was the only doctor worth seeing there and now he is gone. I didn't have any problems with people being rude to me as far as staff, Drs or nurses but one time after waiting to be seen for over an hour I walked up and asked if there was any way I could get in sooner. The front desk lady informed me that I could switch over to this other doctor and I would get right in. It bothered me that that information wasn't made readily available to me. Especially since my daughter had started melting down right in front of them.

Phone number listed here is wrong...the # is 509-942-3627

Very busy place! usually and hour wait and if you dont ask or have special instructions you will see many different doctors for your pregnancy. I had a very rude Dr who argued with me about not wanting to get my tubes tied.It was only my second pregancy and besides who the heck was he to tell me what to do about my body. Same Dr also like to remind me I was "heavy" and even snapped at my older children. I dont remember his name, but he is the younger " goodlooking" one. If your going here for a simple pregnancy, or other womenly needs this place is fine. The Drs are very busy and sometimes overlook important issues so be cautious if your having any sort of problems.

Have had some ridiculous and frustrating experiences at APW. Onetime I was waiting over an hour/& a half in the waiting room, when I went up to the desk I was greeted with a condescending front-desk worker and told that they were very busy ( Only a couple of people in the waiting room besides myself) and to be patient. 40 minutes after that I finally told the front-desk I had to leave to get to work. That's when they finally figured out that my file was never given to the doctor and they didn't even know I was there! And the front-desk gal responsible had left for lunch. Very frustrating!

I have been seeing Dr.Sizemore for most of my pregnancy, and I have never had a doctor like him before, He is amazing! He really takes his job serious. Very caring, and very on top of things! He just delivered my baby, and I must say I will be forever grateful to him, not only for the safe delivery of my baby, but for the honest care he showed to me not just as a patient but as an individual person as well.
I will always go back to APW, and I will continue seeing Dr.Sizemore, I'd be crazy not to.

Dr. Sizemore, if you by chance see this, I want to say thank you so very much! Thank you for caring and thank you for bringing my baby into this world safe and sound!

I have not been very excited about my experiences at APW. The first doc i had was really nice, but after two years, she was gone. I got shuffled off to another guy who talks a lot, makes me feel like crap about myself, but doesn't say anything useful. The wait is generally about an hour which is ridiculous. My 2007 appointment took three hours, 1-1/2 hour sitting in the exam room. I finally walked out in my gown to see what was going on which just aggrivated the nurses. Now i find out the latest guy I'm seeing isn't covered by my insurance although all the others are, so now I owe $160 in expected charges. I know it was my fault for not checking, but i figured they were all in the same PPO since it's all one company of docs. I thought this place would be good since it's affiliated with Kadlec hospital, but I'm finding it's not so great. But there's probably not anywhere else to go in this small town. We're stuck with what we've got.

My first pregnancy was a surprise and the Hyperemesis an even bigger surprise. Trying to get help from APW was a traumatic experience to say the least. If we called the doctor to get help, "sorry we can't do anything for you just show up at the ER and they'll do what they can" was their response. The nurses ask you a million questions typing the answers into their computers and the doctor would just ask the same things minutes later not remembering you or even knowing anything from your records. We were lectures by the doctors about the way we treated their staff and the staff was terrible to us. All their female doctors leave town. The doctors are arrogant and undermine each other. They pass you around and charge you for everything. $25.00 to fill out or sign a single page that their nurses do for them. It's a scary place to go for care but with limited choices they kindof monopolize patients. Do your home work, don't take their crap, and don't be afraid to just walk out and go somewhere else. that's exactly what we did. Outside of the Tri-cities OBGYN care is done VERY differently. It truely is appalling they're able to get away with it.

I have been trying to receive decent care at APW for four years. I finally give up and will never go there again. You can never get anyone on the phone--they call you back at their convenience--hours or days later, even for something as easy as making an appt. I have had two urine samples lost and nurses saying oh? were we supposed to test something? Yah, that is why you had me pee in a cup, remember? They keep you waiting in the waiting room with no apologies (I've had to wait 1 1/2 hrs, usually more like 45 mins) but would it kill you to say the dr. is running late, why not go grab a coffee and come back in 30 mins? I tried numerous docs there and had several quit (high turnover) and several be rude to me. I have had nurses be rude, and the front staff be condescending. I have had it. I just returned from another circus of an appt. and am sure these other reviews are made by the docs or their wives. My biggest regret is to have put up with this for so long.

I have been going to A.P.W for over 5 years. I was even going there while we lived over 50 miles away. The professionalism all the doctors and staff provide you with, is phenomenal. I always recommend A.P.W to anyone I know or meet. We have two beautiful children now and if we could have another I would go back there in a heart beat. Thank you to all of the staff and doctors for your outstanding customer service..

I have gone to Associated Physicians for Women for 9 years, including one high-risk pregnancy. I have always received excellent, respectful care from each of the doctors and nurses. With their on-call rotation and nursing hotline I am always able to get excellent care for any problem I have day or night. When I was hospitalized during my pregnancy, the doctors were attentive and caring. They were reassuring and knowledgable and because of their expertise I have a healthy baby girl who was delivered by c-section this year. I would not go anywhere else for female medical care, OB or GYN.

PROS: Many excellent doctors, central location
CONS:

The second floor OB clinic was very helpful and polite during my last pregnancy. I saw a variety of OB's and can't say a bad word about any of them! The waiting room is kid-friendly with large salt-water tanks and a play kitchen area. Everytime I would go back for my appointment, the nurses were kind and easy-going. The billing department showed me what charges I would have ahead of time. The whole atmosphere was laid back and relaxed which is what you need when you are about to have a baby!

We have used the doctors at Associated Physicians for Women for two pregnancies. We couldn't have been happier! The doctors and nurses are very friendly and knowledgeable. We had complications with the birth of one of our daughters and the way the doctor handled the situations was very impressive. We wouldn't consider going anywhere else.
