I purchased a used truck from Top Notch Motors in 2009. It was supposed to have gone through a 30 point safety inspection before it was put up for sale and was advertised accordingly. I drove over 300 miles to purchase this truck after speaking with the salesmen and looking at a few picts on their web site . When I arrived I found the truck in worse condition than I was told by the sales staff. Still, after some price adjustments, I bought it. On the way home I noticed it shook at an idle and the turn sig lights were out. Later I found the clutch was going bad and the turn sig lights I was told had just burnt out and hadn't been replaced yet were totally missing. There was a e brake problem that I was told just needed adjusting. They said the owner had been using it to haul some material for his home while it was on the lot. Turned out it was TOTALLY frozen up from rust. I called and asked if they would fix the e brake as it was a safety item and by law should have been in working order. They refused. The other items fell within the as is part of the contract and I was good with that. However, I reported them to the state licensing dept. on the e brake problem. They found Top Notch in violation on a few issues and notified them of such. Still they wouldn't repair the e brake. the Licensing Dept had no power to enforce their decision so I went to the BBB. They had the power but Top Notch would have to agree to arbitrate first. They would not so nothing could be done. I took them to small claims court. THEN, they were willing to settle. I got refunded the full costs of repair, the filing fee and the service fee to have them served. I could have gone further and asked for punitive damages but would have had to go to Washington for court so I let that go. It took almost a year to get my justice but I did. Thanks to the court system....
I would never suggest to anyone to do business with TOP NOTCH MOTORE of Yakima Wa. It was obvious to me and the state board of licensing this truck had been miss represented and hadn't gone through a safety check and was put up for sale regardless of the safety concerns. Not to mention the countless lies and misrepresentations.

I recently bought a 2002 Ford Explore from them. I traded in my 1996 Ford Explore, They gave almost nothing for my trade in, yet put it out on there lot the next day with a $3900 sales tag. I felt uneasy the next day about the new car, and went to go take it back. I was told that I couldn't because they had already gotten their money. A month goes by, and I get a letter from the DOL stating that the milage on my new car has been rolled back 20,000 miles. Then come to find out on a carfax that I purchased the car had been a previous accident. None of which the dealership had disclosed to me. I am very upset with this, they are defiantly going to be a lawsuit, and possibly fined. I would not recommand buying anything from this shady company. They are only looking to get your money, and provide bad customer service.
