Its unfortunate that Mr. AC, or Ad - had a bad experience and recieved "no respect" at Bulls Eye. HOWEVER, he ties the downstairs store with the upstairs shooting range. The two are different entities. Seperate businesses. They have different hours of operation, different employees and different management. Sounds to me as if some of his problems stemmed from not having an understading of this. It also would appear that the guys at the range did everything they could to help the guy out. In my experience, the guys at the range - perhaps young, but certainly not inexperienced - have been quite helpfull and informative.
As for the other guy who didn't like the noise at the range, yes, they DO have caliber restrictions, safety information and instruction is readily available. They just choose to treat people as adults. (I don't claim to know everything about firearms, but I was an instructor in the military for several years. It is a bit insulting to have to sit through a 4 hour class that I could have easily taught - KRRC. Yes, let me know the range rules and I will be most happy to abide by them.)
Bottom line - guys, please get the facts straight before making statements that malign someones business.

There aren't many easy access gun ranges out here. This is one of them. Great staff. They have taught me a lot about the various types of hand guns...strengths and weaknesses of each. No you don't get a safety briefing if you don't ask for one. They treat you as an adult. If you don't know gun safety, just ask. If more than one guy is on duty, they will spend time helping you out. It is popular and a lot of people come there. But they have 10 lanes and I have never had to wait. If you have a membership you go to the head of the line, free lane, no charge for brass clean up, ammo is cheaper than online for good ammo. I have never seen any horseplay or unsafe practices...even with people firing the heavy duty firearms.

The workers down stairs are very disrespectful.I had to wait for the 2 guys to finish there joking around before i could ask about some handguns that the 2 workers gave me false information on.one of the guys bad mouthed every gun i was looking to order or think of purchasing,he bragged about his sig,and he is a sig man..personal pref fine,i returned to the shop and the 2 workers were talking again. i walked up to the counter they keep talking to each other, did not greet me and he says to his buddy this guy is staring at me..I found the comment rude i told the worker i was just waiting to be helped. i purchased a glock 23 the guy with glasses was rude some more told me 10 days i would be able to get it.its been been 14 days going on 15 no call nothing.so today i call them the worker says come in pick it up.i live in bremerton, tacoma is a far drive the internet says they close at nine i show up at 7:05 the shooting range is open the store is closed.i went up stairs the gentleman working at the range says yeah they are just closing up walk down the stairs to grab your gun,I walked down half way down the stairs and all the workers are just sitting there chatting one yells we are closed i pleaded and told them my story i live far,the guy yells we are closed.I i will not even buy bullets to fill the magazine when i return to pick up my glock tomorrow .I hope to speak to the owner or manager because the guys working there have little respect for the owner of bulls -eye or the guests spending money there.in my opinion its a great location there is a indoor shooting range prices seem fair, but i will never return due to the total disrespect of the employees there.my advice is management needs to have a meeting with its workers maybe get rid of them and hire a better staff.

Sounds to me like Aaron D is one more example of the type of Liberal gun grabber that should probably just stay at home and knit a sweater with his wife and mother in law. Seriously...calm down bro! The gun was loud! OMG I love the Bullseye... the staff is awesome, very knowledgeable, and helpful as well. I also support the KRRC, they were there first end of story.

To start, I give Bullseye a rating of 1 start, only because I can't give it a Zero.

I recently went to the bullseye range in Tacoma with my fiance and her mother as both are interested in getting a gun for home defense/practice shooting.

We thought it might be a good idea to go to a range that had guns for rent so that they could get a feel for different styles/models.

I will never go back.

First off there was no safety briefing prior to being given a gun. At almost any other range in the county/state/country you are required to take a safety briefing and pass a safety test prior to being allowed to even shoot.

Second, there was no supervision, sure there were cameras but there was no R.O (Range officer) on hand that I could see, to watch for unsafe practices/handling.

Third, at most ranges there are rules regarding which weapons can be used, when and where. It seems as though this does not apply in Bullseye as we were shooting on a pistol range (25 yards or less) and right next to us a guy is shooting an assault rifle type weapon that caused so much noise and vibration it was scaring both my fiance and her mother, not to mention the other people who are not avid shooters used to very loud guns.

There is currently a lawsuit going on in pierce county filed against K.R.R.C (Kitsap Rifle and Revolver Club) of Seabeck, WA. that is stating that they are unsafe and should be shut down until safety requirements are met. From what I have seen the lawsuit should be dropped against KRRC if unsafe places like bullseye are allowed to stay open. At least at KRRC there are safety briefings, Range officers and rules in place to keep the shooters and the onlookers safe.

Bullseye,

First impressions last and the impression I have of your facility is this.. Bullseye is good place for somebody to get hurt or worse.

I will never go back and I will spread the word in the shooting community about my experience and hopefully somebody will step in and do a safety review of the range and its practices.

There is a web site just paste this link: http://www.bullseyeshooter.com/rangemain.htm

Its all ages and a wide selection of guns. I recomend a .22 rifle or for starting kids a .22 pistol. They both have almost no recoil. If you want recoil i recomend a 12 gauge shotgun although that might shatter your shoulder in many pieces.

It only costs $30.00 for one person over the age of 12. the staff treats you very like a good friend.

The only place to go for target practice. Located in the downtown area of Tacoma, these folks are ever so helpful! The guys at the desk will bend over backwards to make sure you're knowledgeable about you weapon. They have lots of rentals to tryout and Mondays is free for women

Bullseye is an awesome range!!! If someone says it needs renovation...I think they are forgetting the fact that you are there to shoot! Everything is convenient, everything works, and the staff knows more about guns then I do and I am a gun crazy Marine! Bullseye is the best!

The range is ok I guess but it sure needs alot of attention, they need to remodel the whole range, all in all it's a fairly good range with a large selection of ammo.
The gun shop down below is another company on it's own seperate from the range, they have an awesome and knowledgeable staff with a large variety of firearms, accessories, etc but the only downside is they always sell out on a particular grain ammo too quick and they need to order in larger quantities.

This shooting supply store has a great inventory and also has an indoor range that you can rent for a modest fee. The staff is more than helpful and friendly. I like to ring my son to the indoor range and do a little plinking while teaching him gun safety. I highly recommend this buisness.
