Love it!  4 Star Rating - Very good

Bengal Tiger is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in Seattle. I really like their Saag Paneer and Samosas.

The food is reasonably priced and the wait staff is efficient and courteous, although they can be a bit overzealous in their attempts to get you to vote for them as the best Indian restaurant on nwsource.com (they often win, one doesn't have to wonder why).

The best is their lunch buffet, which is a little small, but still gives you the opportunity to try a lot of different dishes for a very reasonable price.

Best Indian food in U district!  4 Star Rating - Very good

The food here has been consistently good! If you want good Indian/South Asian food, this is the place (trust me, I've tried all the others in the neighborhood!).

Yummy, but a little too eager  4 Star Rating - Very good

Bengal Tiger is a great Indian restaurant in the Roosevelt neighborhood. I used to eat there every single Sunday for lunch, but my love for cooking has made my trips less frequent. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, especially if you go for the lunch buffet! They have great vegetarian options and the servers are friendly. My only complaint is that the servers get a little pushy during the time of the year when they NWSource voting is happening. They asked us multiple times to vote for them and it was getting annoying. Overall though, we love this place! A must-visit!

Delicious food, courteous, attentive service  4 Star Rating - Very good

I've eaten at Bengal Tiger about 10 times and have had an excellent meal every time. The dishes are spiced to perfection, fresh veggies, sublime sauces. The maitre'd always gives me a cup of mulligatawny soup to warm up, yum!!!! If you are looking for a great meal in North Seattle,
you can count on Bengal Tiger.

Best Indian in town 5 Star Rating - World class

I just moved from London where the Indian is superb! Bengal Tiger would be right there in the running if it was in London! It's great, reasonably priced and has great service. Both their lunch buffet and dinner are super.

Best mango chicken EVER!!! 5 Star Rating - World class

So i never heard about the bengal tiger until a close friend of mine started to work there. With that being said I had to stop in and try something off the menu. The owner of the restaurant is soo friendly and welcomes everyone. He asked me if I wanted to try something and so I did. I tried the mango chicken and OH MY GOD its amazing!!! along with the naan and the rice. I would recommend this dish to anyone who likes a tangy kind of flavor. Other great things to try include, the mango lassi and mango ice cream. Overall I give this place an A++

sub par sums the entire experience up 2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

Based on the good reviews we decided to venture out from the India Bistro in Ballard and try the Bengal Tiger. What an absolute disappointment. We ordered the sampler appetizer and when they brought it out they didn't bring any small plates for us to split it up with, we just had to reach across the middle and grab what we could. Finally someone came by and we asked for some small plates but they came back with a take home box??? A couple more attempts finally got us small plates, but as soon as we were done with the appetizer, they cleared our entire table including the pompadon and chutneys. When dinner showed up they didn't bring us any new silverware (we grabbed it from the next table over) and then the hostess asked where our pompadon/chutney went and we explained it to her and she brought us a second serving (which they tried to charge us for). The samosas were dry and the two main dishes we ordered were as bland as white bread. My wife's chicken dish had 5 (yes we counted) grape size pieces of meat in the entire thing. It was over all a very disappointing night. I think their main problem is that they don't have waiters, the entire staff rotates around the entire restaurant. We had no less than 5 different people stop by our table either dropping off food, clearing off dishes, or filling water. Twice we had people stop by just to wipe the table down while we were still eating. If you want good indian food I'd recommend the India Bistro in Ballard, better service, better ambiance, better food.

Pros: not a single one
Cons: poor service, food, experience

One of Seattle's Favorites 5 Star Rating - World class

Some of the best - if not the best Indian food / restaurant in the city - one of the best lunch deals in the city as well - $7.99 for their lunch buffet. Best Indian lunch buffet I've experienced. Packed at dinner for a very good reason...one of Seattle's favorites...

Pros: overall value and tasty, tasty food
Cons: i like their atmosphere, but some don't...

Tasty food, friendly service 4 Star Rating - Very good

Our family drove out of our way to come here for dinner - drawn by the free papadums offered at the begining of the meal as well as the good reviews. The papadums and their chutneys lived up to our hopes, and our entrees were good, too. Delicious sweet lassi. Servers were attentive and helpful and ran out after us when we forgot our to go bag.

Pros: Unusual papadum offerings, good food
