I've always had a good experience here at Coho. We love their appetizers. Their calamari is excellent! Combine that with a prickley pear margarita and your happy hour is set! Their outdoor dining on the patio in the summertime can't be beat in Issaquah

I confess, as a long-time local resident, that I have eaten in the dining area only once. I was not disappointed. However, you can find my wife and I about once each week taking in the happy hour menu in the bar. Some of the best light dining in the area. The small plate of ribs is great and just right for a light dinner. Lots of other good selections too. Gets a little crowded sometimes after work hours.

Jon, the bartender, is friendly and helpful and quickly gets to know your personal preferences. Service is always very good.

I love shrimp!

And it was quite by accident that my wife and I stumbled on this special prawn menu the Coho was running. I was in heaven! There were more shrimp dishes on one menu than I had ever tried in my whole life!

My wife just crinkled her nose and smiled sympathetically. She figures anything that comes out of the water is best left for the cat! That??s ok, we've been here before and she ordered some of our favorites; Bacon wrapped Jalapenos stuffed with cheese, Ginger Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and a small Asian Chicken Salad.

But I digress, back to this prawn menu. I first tried the Spicy Udon Noodle Shrimp Soup. It was so good I almost ordered two more bowls and called it a day! I'm glad I didn't because Rock Shrimp Cakes were next and they were unbelievable. They came with an outstanding Asian noodle salad in the middle and three shrimp cakes around the outside. The cakes were crispy golden brown with whole pieces of sweet shrimp inside, not like the mush you sometimes get with crab cakes.

Ok, now I am going to sound a bit greedy. But like I said I love shrimp. I next tried the Shrimp Gumbo. It was authentic right down to the okra, very good and loaded with shrimp. And last but not least for the grand finally, I had two of the biggest grilled shrimp I??d ever seen and a top sirloin steak!

I was fat and happy knowing there was still a full menu of shrimp dishes to try later. My wife loved her meal and though we may never agree on seafood, we both agreed to come back Coho Caf next week!

By the way, they say prawns; I say shrimp is there a difference?

Food here is not outstanding but good. The service is alright as well. Nothing really stood out for me about this place. Parking is in a parking lot next to the restaurant. I've only been once, maybe if I tried it again I would like it better.
