Caruh Salon & Spa

I have never gotten a haircut here, but I do go here to buy my Aveda hair and beauty products. They really do have wonderful shampoos and hair paste. It can be pricey and the salespeople may try to upsell. So as long as you know what you want and don't succumb to the sales technique, you will be fine and you'll have some beautiful hair!!

PROS: Amazing products made with great ingredients!
CONS: Pushy salespeople

I have been getting my hair cut at Caruh for years. I started going there because it was so close to home, but even now that we have moved out of the neighborhood, I keep going back. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I love the fact that they are an Aveda salon - love their products. This is, without question the best place for hair color! On the downside, apparently everyone else loves Caruh as much as I do. Everyone there books up very quickly. I make an appointment for a haircut months in advance and color is even worse. Also, they recently raised their prices, making a haircut about $45-50. However, it is worth the wait and the cost!

This is an Aveda concept salon and is very typically Aveda. They have a separate waiting room which books on living an organic lifestyle. They use only Aveda products. They stylist do a great job. They do a nice scalp massage during the shampoo. However, the stylist I saw had hair that was a little too wild for my taste I was worried that if I went to her for a color she might make mine the same outrageous red hers was. Its a great salon and perfect if you love the Aveda style and atmosphere. It personally wasnt my cup of tea.
