Double Dd Meats

A friend had told me about this place, and I happened to be in Mountlake Terrace today, so I popped in and had a look around. Very friendly, pleasant and knowledgeable staff answered several questions and I puchased some Bavarian Meats' Landjaegers, and some frozen lamb, and spent some time lusting after the T-Bones, Rib Steaks and Top Sirloin cuts. Golly. Then spent another ten minutes gazing at marinades, dressings and sauces. I highly recommend this very cool establishment. Going back soon for steak!

Ill make it short , believe what you read (except RR,my guess is he improperly thawed his meat or left it out far too long before cooking,I'm absolutely positive the meat left the shop in good order, i base this on 25 years of NEVER having a bad cut from here.)I have 2 special recommendations for anyone.Rib Eye steaks and thick sliced bacon.i have NEVER had a steak so good as the rib eye from here and its EVERY time.Thick sliced bacon- i buy 2 pounds at a time and cook it a pound at a time ....when i have cooked the pound of bacon I'm LUCKY if i can get a tablespoon of grease from the pan afterwards....i have actually had to ADD vegetable oil in small amounts to keep it from sticking to my stainless steel skillet from time to time.this bacon is so good i ship it to my cousin in California on a regular basis(he used to live here but moved away).HOT TIP FOR SENIORS!!!do you have dentures and cant eat steaks??NOT ANYMORE!! Ask the girls to cut one rib eye in half Horizontally (they are super thick to start with),THEN ask them to run it thru their cuber !!you can eat this steak with no teeth whatsoever and it is FABULOUS!! lets see ya get Safeway or any other chain to do that for ya ....GO AHEAD I DARE YA!!the result is a steak with tremendous flavor that cooks easily and you can literally gum it ,it falls apart in your mouth!!!don't cheat yourself of one of the best decisions you'll ever make ...go check this place out ....you can thank me later:).

I have purchased many steaks,rubs,sauces, and marinades from Double D's and personally I believe that no other market is going to give you what you need when you need it at remarkable prices such as these. If you are a first timer in the store you can, if you wish, tell them and almost any employee there will provide you with information about the store, where the meat and poultry and pretty much anything else they sell in the store originated from. D&D meats is not just a store, they are a family and go out of their way to treat you with as much respect as one would their family. The store's friendly sarcasm and light spirits help their customers get through the day.
Wouldn't shop anywhere else

I've eaten wonderfully around the world. My holiday Prime Rib Roast from here was the Best ever. At first I was concerned because it seemed too trimed of fat but they knew what they were doing. The quality of the meat didn't need the excess fat you get elsewhere. The flavor was spectacular. The price incredible. The shop's variety and prices have made me a believer. I am nuts about this place!

The only place we purchase ribs is from Double D Meats. Every time we go in, the service is warm and friendly. The quality of meat is an A+. I would recommend them to everyone. I am shocked to see a bad rating. Everyone I know goes to DD's and has NEVER had a bad experience. DD ROCKS!!!!

I am surprised to see any bad postings on these guys - in fact, I wonder if they have the right place. I have never had any bad experiences at Double D - they have all been good. They are accomodating and helpful - just what you want in a specialty shop - you can tell them what you're cooking, and they will give you their expert opinion on what to buy. You can call in an order to be cut a certain way, and go pick it up that afternoon. I even overheard the ladies talking about where they all go to get their pedicures, and couldn't remember the place they were talking about, and so called to ask - they even pointed me in the right direction there! I love this place!

The customer service is fantastic (point to the piece of meat that you prefer, even if it's underneath others, and one of the many counter staff will get it for you), the meat is inexpensive, and the selection of homemade sausages is huge.

Plus there's one aisle after another full of hot sauces, barbecue sauces, marinades, rubs, etc. etc.

We have gone to Double D for almost 15 years. The service there is great, and we are some of the most hard to please people. A few years ago we moved down south and still to this day drive up to Terrace from the airport to get our meat. We have never gotten bad meat or been treated rudely there. Poor ladies probably cry when we walk through the door as we get many many pounds of hamburger and like our orders certian ways. Every person that works there wether they have been around the whole 15 years we have gone or just started last week is kind to us, helpful and full of laughter. Keep it up guys your great !

I've never heard one bad word about DD's until this poster. This place is the holy shrine to meat cuts in our area. As a consumer, we can tell a bad cut from a good one so the poster should've said something from the start. I have never had a bad cut and have been coming here for years! DD's ROCKS!

I will never come here again!I was sold bad meat and was treated VERY poorly when I called to ask for them to compensate my grocery bill because a while meal was ruined...and was basically called a liar. I guess I'm use to higher standards of customer service.I guess they can afford to prat ice poor service when it comes selling bad meat and not taking care of the customer. I also think they forget that it only takes one person to let a lot of people know that they won't hold themselves accountable if your not happy.

I don't know how you could possibly believe R.R's review. You must be an incredibly irritating person. I have been to this store alot over the last 12 years and the service is excellent every time! I have never, ever had bad business there so the only reason that I could imagine someone not being happy in this store is that you're just not happy with any store. Gotta be you, dude! Double D Meats is awesome, awesome, awesome. All around.

Truly a one of a kind experience at Double D Meats. Their customer service and quality of product is A+.

My husband says their sauces are sassy! They have absolutely every sauce imaginable to purchase.

Always enjoy shopping there!

I have been going to DD Meats for years and have had nothing but great things from this butcher, from the quality of the meat, selection and great customer service! When I moved from Anchorage (where I had a great butcher shop to shop at) I was worried I wouldn't find another place to purchase good quality meat. I didn't want to have to go to a grocery store... DD Meats fit the bill!

Price was reasonable. I've been in on 3 separate occasions and the service was very disappointing. Staff was unfriendly and would not accommodate with simple requests. Will take my business elsewhere.

Our Christmas dinner was a spectacular hit! The 16 lb. prime rib roast DD prepared was excellent and had just the right amount of fat to keep it tender --- and what flavor! The price was right too, and today, December 27th, their prime rib is on sale for $4.98/pound!

We also bought chicken and turkey to feed our dogs for less than a $1/lb. which is a better price than any market. Convenience, flavor, good value -- they have it all!

I can't believe I ever bought deli meat and other meat products at traditional grocery stores! Double D's is the best meat shop around! It's worth the extra drive. They have unlimited flavors of thin-sliced deli meat, all at $2.98/lb! That's better than the best sale on deli meat at Safeway. My favorite is the roasted red pepper turkey, but a close second is the cilantro turkey. It's so good you don't even need bread and condiments. Doube D's also has their own bratwursts of so many flavors you won't be able to decide. Jalepeno, chesse, maple, anything you can think of! I haven't tried everything yet, but they also carry their own thick-sliced bacon, ribs, and ground beef, all at reasonable prices. Once you have Double D's, you won't ever go back.
