My wife and I had wanted to check this place out, having recently moved to Beacon Hill, and always on the lookout for a new thai place . On this friday night at 6:30 , there was one table seated when we arrived. Ok, so its in a strip mall in georgetown, i figured, probably more of a lunch place, but well give it a shot. Ordered spring rolls, pork satay, phad kee mao with chicken, and panang chicken. They were out of pork satay but offered chicken. Satay was chewy, and didnt really taste like it had marinated in much of anything, peanut sauce was light in color and tasted watered down. The order or six spring rolls arrived, they were those miniature kind about the size of a one inch slice of hot dog, but no real flavor to them. We did like the panang curry and it was medium like we ordered. The phad kee mao came out with no noodles. We saw it under the noodle section, and have ordered this dish in dozens of other places but our server insisted we were wrong and grudgeingly took it back to the kitchen and brought us our phad kee mao "with noodles" in about a minute (same dish thrown on some noodles) We tried it but it had no spice and no basil, two trademarks of every phad kee mao ive ever had. She informed us that some people dont like basil so they didnt put any in because we didnt ask for any(even though it says basil on the menu) She then asked us if it was our first time here and told us that recipes vary, and we simply replied that we were expecting something different, that was all. She delivered the bill grabbed the plate and walked away with it saying she would put some basil in it. we heard an argument in the kitchen for the next two minutes, peppered with 'phad kee mao' and 'noodles' we paid the bill and left, she never came back out. we will not be going back

Having dined there and also lunch takeout several times, I found this restaurant to be consistently very good -- a treasure in the South Seattle area, even if it is located in a strip mall. I just wish they stayed open later and did delivery.
