.

Two of my friends and I arrived at Wonderland approximately 9:40 PM on Saturday Sept 1st. There is a sign that says Go-Karts go until 10pm. I go up to the counter and ask the first worker to buy 3 tickets for go-karts. She says I'm sorry but we're not running go-karts. I mention the sign outside and she offers to grab the manager.

I would later ask for his name, which he told me was Steven. Steven comes to the counter and I ask him why we aren't allowed to Go-Kart -we had just driven 45 minutes to get there. He says that there was recently a lawsuit filed against wonderland regarding the bright lights they used and that 10:00pm was just a guideline for must-be-shut-down by then. More importantly he tells me that, they "have already shut down for the night" and "haven't had anyone riding for half an hour".

So I buy mini golf tickets for our group and we go outside. To my dismay, the stadium lights are still on and go karts are still running. Why would the manager tell me it was already shut down and we weren't allowed on? I ask for Steven again and ask him why he wasn't being honest with us, all the while being courteous and polite. He clearly gets irritated for me basically calling him out on a lie. He says that we are going to have to leave.

I then ask for his name and ask for the contact number of his superiors. He grabs the phone in disgust and pretends to hand it to me, arrogantly challenges, "Do you want to call my cousin? He's my boss - go ahead and call him! We'll put him on the line." I still maintain my cool and politely decline. I resolve to contact higher up than this because obviously I would just be ignored if I were to speak or write to his cousin. We are then escorted out for reasons unknown to me other than questioning Steven. Wonderland leaves an incredibly bitter taste in my mouth and story to tell.

People deserve to be treated with respect and honesty - something that did not happen when I went to wonderland. I was especially appalled by the lack of professionalism displayed by the manager Steven at the time.
