Salon Fifth Avenue

I love Salon Fifth Avenue, I've been going there for a year now and I've had both Sienna and the other stylist that left do my hair and I was very disappointed in the work that they did. Heidi finally had an opening so I decided to give Heidi a try and I am so happy that I did!! I finally found someone who knew what they were doing and she had so much more experience and expertise than the other stylist that worked there did.. Heidi has done by far a much superior job on my hair than i've found at any other salon. The highlites and cut is so much more professional and I will never go anywhere else. So I don't know what this other person is talking about, the management is very professional and they take pride in everything that they do. Love this place!! Thank you Heidi and Elaine for being such wonderful and careing people. You guys rock!!!!

I would not recommend Salon Fifth Avenue, they have recently lost 2 great stylists due to poor management and I go to one of them still. Her name is Sienna. She is now at a new salon. Salon Fifth Avuenue has really changed over the years and they only seem to get worse.

I love this place, the people, the way they really take care of you. I've gotten my hair cut and foiled here for two years now and have recommended several other friends in town to this salon as well. They have really worked with me on different ways to style my cut and techniques and products I can use to tame or straighten my hair if I want a different look. So much more help and creativity than what I found at my old salon down the street.

John recently joined Salon Fifth Avenue. I followed him there because for years he has made my hair look better than I ever thought it could. Try John for cuts, colors, and perms. Decades of experience. Truly a master.

If you're going to get your haircut here, I would only recommend Heidi. She does an amazing job. I would probably go elsewhere to get my hair colored, but Heidi does a good cut.

Made an appointment for a hair cut. The stylist did not part my hair and proceeded to cut it anyway. The cut was drastically uneven and I had to return two days later to have it fixed. What a pain and what a waste of time. Will definitely go elsewhere next time around.

I would NOT recommend this salon. I made an appointment to have my hair colored. I specifically asked for an experienced stylist but was given just the opposite. I asked her for a dirty-blond hair color. The stylist said okay, then proceeded to color my hair a dark auburn brown (darker than even my natural hair color). If I, as the client, ask for a specific cut/color and it it not achievable, I expect an experienced stylist to tell me that it is not do-able and to go over my options with me. I walked out of the salon almost in tears. I called back the following day and asked the owner to call me regarding my bad/traumatic experience. I never received a phone call back. Lack of experience, lack of communication, lack of customer service. Would NOT recommend.

For almost 15 years, I have been a client; in the late 90's I lived in Seattle but still got my hair done at Salon Fifth Avenue.
As a single mom who gets her hair cut no more than twice a year, I can tell you, they really excell at taking tired hair and giving it pazzaz that I can really work with.

This morning I got a trim at salon fifth avenue and I am glad to report a great haircut. Heidi did an excellent job giving my bangs texture without taking away length. My hair is much easier to style now, and I will be coming back next time I need a cut. The salon is nice and clean, and you can tell the owner takes pride in the business. I was surprised when I recieved a gift certificate from the owner to make up for a cancelled apointment a few weeks back. I think this was a very gracious gesture which reflects well on the salon. I would highly recommend Salon Fifth Avenue.

There are circumstance that are beyond our control and unfortunately this was one. We did try to contact our client the morning of of her appointment. But the phone number that we had on our record was incorrect, so we called and left a message on her family member phone. We had no other way to contact this client. The stylist that was going to perform the service got called out of state, do to the fact that her mother is extremely ill with cancer, our other stylist just moved out of state because her husband got transfer to a new job, then we have one of our stylist on vacation, then one is sick with the flu and the last stylist was already there at work for 9 hours and is 5 months pregnant. We fully intended to send this client a $60.00 gift card for the inconvenience that it may have cause her and we sincerely do the best that we can to accommodate all of our clients but like I stated, some things are just plain out of our control and all we can do is try to make it up to our clients in anyway that we can.

I've gone to salon 5th ave several times for a haircut -- the place both of my parents go and have been going for some odd 30 years -- and I've never really been given reason to complain about their customer service or professionalism until now. My most recent haircut being crappy aside, my fiance recently made an appointment several days in advance for a standard hair cut before our vacation. When she arrived at her scheduled appointment, the receptionist informed her that her appointment had been cancelled and that they tried to call and warn her prior (there were no messages left on either of our cel-phones). It seems Heidi is the only trustworthy stylist left, after ownership recently changed hands and all the dust settled. Heidi does great work, but some of the new young staff can't quite measure up to the legacy established by the old owners. Needless to say, it's doubtful either of us will be returning to Salon 5th Ave. after this unfortunate experience. So consumer beware: The reputation of this place is not what it used to be.

I am a professional woman with a very high end commercial real estate brokerage. I have used the same colorist for 15 years, but felt I needed something fresh and new. I tried Heidi at Salon 5th Ave because I helped her mother purchase the building. I was extremely impressed with how proficient she was with the light blonde highlights I needed and adjusting the cut from a layered style to a blunt style. The entire experience was pleasant and professional. The atmosphere is lovely and the customer service was outstanding. I highly recommend them. Tell them Cyn sent you!

I was Highly recommended by many people to see the girls at salon fifth Ave. I went and Had my hair done by both Julie and Heidi. They fixed my hair and made it the best it has ever been. I had a hard time finding someone to do it just how I like and they both deffinatly acheived it with great team work. I will deffinatly be back.

Don't go to Salon Fifth Avenue! I went as a first time customer and had my hair cut and colored by Heidi. The hair cut was okay but she totally ruined my color. A very poor job. I went back in to have her look at it and she decided to strip the color and redo it. After many hours in the salon chair I walked out with damaged, oddly colored hair that looked BAD! I cried. I had to go and have it fixed at another salon. I wrote a letter asking for Salon Fifth Avenue to refund my money for the botched hair coloring. They did not respond. When I called, not only were they rude to me but they refused to refund my money. Salon Fifth Avenue sucks!

I have had the same 2 people cut my hair for 20 years so I was very nervous about switching salon's. I'm somewhat new to the area so I picked this place due to the last good rating they received. This salon was wonderful! The atmosphere is very trendy and upbeat and the people were so friendly and helpful. Wendy was at the front desk and she was happy to recommend some local coffee shops and cute stores to shop at. Stephanie cut my hair and did a fabulous job! She listened to my requests and also had some great suggestions. The cut turned out perfect and the price of $35.00 was so reasonable! I'm definitely going back for my cuts and will also trust them to put in my highlights. Thank you Stephanie for making me comfortable and doing a great job!

I had my first haircut at Salon Fifth Avenue when they were offering a free cut in return for being a model for the training program. I had never gone because with the location, name and appearance of the Salon, one would think it to be very high priced! Once I found out that a cut was $35 for a very long appointment, I haven't been anywhere else. Excellent price, the stylists are trained to cut hair a special way and the price includes wash, cut and style (and a scalp massage!) I've had horrible haircuts at many places but I know that I can always walk into Salon Fifth Avenue and walk back out with an excellent haircut. The service is fabulous!

PROS: Great service, Great Price, Excellent Stylists!
CONS: Parking is limited, but available.
