Reviews for Joy Ride

Ratings_icons Knowledgeable and fast special orders

Jeff E.

I've bought two bikes from Joy Ride. Excellent customer service - they don't try and sell you something you don't need - and fast special orders.

The owner and staff all ride year round and obviously have been around bikes a long time. They know what works best for you whether you're a commuter, recreational cyclist, mountain biker, or road racer. Highly recommended!

Ratings_icons Great stock, excellent service, outstanding local business

Mark T.

I'm new to the area and was trying to update my old (15 years!) Raleigh mtb: got great advice from several of the employees, upgraded my brakes and found a few other items they had that I needed while they took care of my bike. Highly recommended shop to go to, they will take care of you.

Ratings_icons Great Customer Service!

trace c.

Hey! The new ownership is great! The old ownership was really good too. The new owner is one of the employees. All the bike maintenance guys are a great help and they are really honest. They have let the Specialized line go and have picked up Scott and a few other brands. The guys in the shop are learning about the new brands and if they don't know something... they'll tell you.

The new owner is an experienced racer and he's been an excellent source of information and knowledge concerning equipment, training, and nutrition. I like all the local bike shops in the area, but these guys are doing everything they can to please the customer... it shows, and it's appreciated. Good Job Joy Ride!

Ratings_icons Friendly Service

Corey N.

I take my bike to Joyride whenever I need work done it. They're always very friendly and are willing to teach me what's wrong with my bike so I can fix it myself if need be, even at the expense of their own business. Also has a nice selection of road racing bikes mixed with mountain and everyday bikes as well. I think they went through a change in management/ownership in the last few months, but have gotten reorganized and seem like the same cool shop.

Ratings_icons Where's my merchandise?

Joy Ride B.

Ordered a bike seat. Paid for it. Was told I'd receive a phone call in no more than 3-4 days. It is now 14 days later and no phone call. Calls to their phone number produce no answer and no answering machine. Going to dispute the charges on my cc bill. Seems this place has the small company feeling but fails to deliver professional service expected from customers. Try Oly Bikes or Bike Tech if you are concerned with being a satisfied customer...because I gave Joy Ride a try and all I got was a credit card charge.

Ratings_icons nice selection

You can get your bikes for bargain prices at stores such as Target and ToysRUs, but if you're looking for proffesional advice on bikes, Joy Ride is the place to go. They will make recommendations based on your height, gender, and purpose. They also have a much better selection in accesories than their competitors. (think gel seats, gloves etc)
