Reviews for Magic Mouse Toys

Ratings_icons Selection is good, but the staff don't seem to like children

My experience has been very different than "heather s."'s. My husband and I both work downtown so found Magic Mouse convenient for lunch time last minute shopping. It was a little over priced, but we figured we were paying for the location. Then we brought our 2 1/2 year old daughter in with us one evening after work and the man behind the counter seemed bothered by our questions. It felt like he was annoyed at our presence and at our daughters excitement. We haven't been back.

Ratings_icons Play, explore, spend some time and get some great toys

You have to love this store because there's not really much like in the world today. This store has all the little and big toys for all age ranges. With two floors of fun, you can find almost anything to stimulate a child of almost any age as well as adults.

The toys range from the cute (a great stuffed animal selection) to the hobbyist (toy planes and sailboats) to more intellectual pursuits such as board games and other. The store also has a bargain bin section on the bottom floor that sports some good finds from time-to-time.

This is not the store to by the latest video game, but rather a place to find someone unique that will last for years.

PROS: Fun fun fun!
CONS:

Best described as a mini-FAO Scwartz. There are lots of fun classic toys. Due to location I don't go very often (think Pioneer Square), however anytime I'm in need of an interesting gift for another child we go here.
One gets tired of seeing the same old junky, throw away toys at all of the other stores.
I would suggest checking them out if you haven't already!

Ratings_icons great place to spend an afternoon

This place is really wondeful in buzzy Pioneer Square. There are so many things to just look at and play with. Even if you don't buy a thing the staff are friendly.

They have a good selection of puzzles, books, tarot cards, chess sets, playing cards, card games, board games, model trains, etc in the basement. The upper story is more mischievous with those little cheap party toys and talking plush toys.

People of all ages can definitely find their heart's delight here.

Ratings_icons Best toy store on the planet

I have a feeling that parents who shop here for toys have children with higher-than-normal intelligence. The toys here are centered around educational persuits and not random unnecessary violence like most other toys are. I am happy that they seem not to carry anything related to "Barbie", and nearly everything they sell is marketed as gender neutral, which I think is very positive indeed!

Tons of puzzles, art sets, chemistry sets, models, books, etc. Very great store even if you don't have kids!!!

Ratings_icons Best Toy Store in Seattle

The Magic Mouse is a classic toy store with creative and innovative toys that are sure to tickle the immagination of any youngster. Just north of Pioneer Square, the Magic Mouse is in a great, old neighborhood. The store has a ton of character. You'll find some wonderful toys that you might not find at the bigger chains. Parking can be hard to find on surrounding streets.

PROS: Great character, great place to find unique and rare toys
CONS: Higher prices, little to no parking

Ratings_icons Fun, Old Fashioned Toy Store

Heather M. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,316

This place really is magical! Not your average corporate toy store. If you want the latest "in" toy, don't go here - but if you want something, unique, high quality, and maybe even educational, this is the place to go. There are even lots of toys out on tables for the kids (or adults) to try out.
Novely items, books, even tarot cards. This place is really fun to explore for kids of all ages. Next time your in Pioneer Square check it out.

PROS: Unique items, Fun atmoshpere, anti-corporate
CONS: prices are a little high on some items
