Used a Living Social coupon to try the place tonight. The service was decent and the food was decent, but just that... decent. Nothing I or my family had there was particularly good. It was just adequate.

I *rarely* salt my food at restaurants, but both my soup (the clam chowder) and my entree (the mac and cheese) needed salt. Even once the salt perked them up, they were still sort of bland. My wife had their salmon special and she finished it, but it was similarly merely good enough.

There's no real complaint . But there's no point in paying good money for merely adequate food when lots of other restaurants in the area are delivering better food at a similar price point.

Went to Maddox grill on Fathers day. I was very disappointed. Coffee was so thick you couldn??t cut it with cream. I ordered eggs benedict which I asked for extra soft pooched they were way over cooked. The hashbrowns were burnt and not much of them. My wife got the seafood omlet it also was overcooked and she got cold uncooked hashbrown. The scones were great.

watch out for the fake reviews from the staff and friends this place is awfull

We must have driven by this restaurant 150 times since we moevd here a year ago & finally noticed it. We liked the atmosphere and the menu items all looked great. We liked the food a lot - blackened halibut sandwich and steak/ravioli. The only issue was it seemed to take an awfully long time for the food to come out. We will definitely go back to try the other items we considered ordering, to see if they were as good as they sound. We thought the prices were very reasonable.

Pros: Great food, lots of parking, kept water glasses full

Cons: service was a bit slow

I have stopped at the Maddox Grill a couple times in the past three months and had great experiences both times. The food was very good and they have a terrific selection of beers, including some out of the ordinary brands. The staff is very friendly and the seating is very nice. When I was there, I noticed that there were a number of dinner specials to choose from. I felt that this restaurant was a tremendous value.

Pros: Good food, beer selection, hard liquor

Cons: It's a little ways off of I-5

The food here is excellent. I loved going here when they were located in Richmond Beach. They moved to Lynnwood a few years ago and it took away from the ambience they had in Shoreline. They took over a Burger Meister and I can't help feeling like it's still a hamburger joint instead of the fine food they serve.

We were able to find some good fettucini and pastas here. The prices weren't too outrageous either. We enjoyed the service and the short wait time for a table.

My wife and I have been going to this Restaurant since it opened and have enjoyed every meal we have had. The decor is upscale without the upscale prices. You never have to wait more than 1-2 minutes for someone to seat you and get you started. There is plenty of parking. The base menu has alot of variety and the daily specials are excellent. The prices are very good.

Overall I really hesitate to talk up this place because my wife and I eat all our meals out and this was our
secret place that many people drive past.. We eat there at least once a week and hope that it doesnt start getting too crowded.

My wife and I have become regulars since moving from Capitol Hill to Brier. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. In addition to regular menu items such as the awesome prawn appetizer and Caesar salad with one of the best dressings in the Seattle area there are also rotating daily specials that keep the experience fresh for us. They are also very willing to customize an entree, in terms of sides, if requested.

The bar offers an excellent selection of microbrews, wines and liquor. If you like Scotch try the sherry wood aged Glen Morangie but leave some for me.

For consistantly great food and service we continue to return to Maddox Grill in Lynnwood. The menu has a wide variety of choices from burgers (fabulous!) to steak and seafood. One favorite item is the bread bowl with clam chowder. Another recommendation is the fish and chips, They also have a nice selection of draft beers. In addition to lunch and dinner they serve a delicious breakfast on the weekends with homemade scones. You won't be disappointed.

We love going to Maddox for their happy hour it is the best in Lynnwood. The amount of food and drink you can have for the price is unbeatable. We have never had a bad experience with the wait staff or food. We went in for the first time last week for dinner and it was wonderful as well.

On a Saturday evening there is no better place. Went with two menu staples instead of the specials and were extremely pleased. This was our first experience and we will certainly return. Had Pan Seared Halibut and Scallops and the Maddox Burger. Both were cooked to perfection and the flavors were well balanced. Our server was Kelli and she was fabulous. Just like a perfect server she was only seen and heard when needed; not overbearing or overzealous but always ready when we needed anything. Prices were more than reasonable. We had an appetizer, drinks, entrees, and desert and spent less than fifty dollars. They also have a decent selection of local beers. Can't wait to try their breakfast some lazy morning.

Monday night, I decided to try this place because i saw so many positive reviews. Then it turn out to be a disaster. I and my friend ordered New York Steak $19.95 and Iron Steak $16.95. Both are really just cheap food and horrible. If you wanna see if i'm lying, go ahead and spend your money. There were only 2 tables with customers. Its just EMPTY and i bet its going to close down soon.

We tried this place for the first time last night, and it was great. They do take reservations, which was nice. It was busy, but you would probably wait 10-15 minutes without a reservation. Food was great, and they have specials with lots of fresh seafood. I had the beef tenderloin/filet mignon, for only $20, and it was delicious. They could have a better wine list, but the food was great!

Not only is the food delicious and UNDERpriced but the vibe there cannot be beat. I had great appetizer and even better dinner. The bar scene was perfect: laidback, lively, and with great music!

Boyfriend and I went there on a weeknight out and hoping to find a place we'd like to return to in the future. The menu had great choices, the atmosphere is open and casual, the staff is friendly and attentive and judging by everyone's loud laughter... the drinks are heavy. The food was poor at best. I had crabcakes with rice pilaf and my boyfriend had a beef stirfry dinner special which featured the same rice pilaf. The rice pilaf was both over and undercooked in an unpleasant way. Crab cakes are bland and pretty small for the price of the dinner. Sorry to say this is not a restaurant I plan to return to even if someone paid for it. I'm sure the food is better if you are sitting at the bar, or it sounded like the happiest customers were there.

A great family dinning expierence with good live Jazz on Saturday nights. They are so much more than just a hamburger joint, and once you try the finner dinning menu you will be hooked for life. The executive chef really knows how to make the specials..... special.

I disagree with the other review that Maddox has gone downhill. I think they have only improved with the move north, keeping the finer dining items(like great halibut preparations!) and adding more sandwich and appetizer options on the casual end. I can now go there for happy hour fare and drinks, or a nicer meal with my family. Everyone that has joined me at Maddox has loved it! And they now have live music on Saturdays, where you can hear some great jazz or blues.

When the Maddox Grill was located in Edmonds, it had a quaint charm and sophistication that made it one of our favorites for special occasions. Because of the atmosphere, you never saw kids. This was also a place that we recommended to friends.

Since relocating to Lynnwood, the Maddox Grill & Bar has put more emphasis on Bar than Grill. The atmosphere reminds one of Appleby's, only with a lot more TVs. The favored appetizer is gone along with the intimate lighting. Instead of couples or small groups having a romantic or elegant meal, one is now seated in an ugly booth with brighter lighting. Even the staff isnt as attentive as they used to be. This is no longer a place we would recommend to friends.

While we may understand why the Maddox Grill made these changes, we're disappointed that our favorite restaurant has disappeared.
