make the customer happy
by adam l.
Old Cannery has always meet my needs as a customer. I have shopped and purchased from them countless times. On some occasions there has been an issue with the product. Old Cannery has always stepped up and taken care of the problem but also has gone a step further. I think more people should spend time commenting about the good thing we experience at stores but seems we are more inclined to write a comment to complain and most are unwarranted. So I'm taking my own advice and letting people know that Old Cannery has always lived up to my expectations and more!!

Sad experience.
by lisa j.
Had heard raves from friends over the years about Old Cannery furniture so I finally went. Yes , prices were fair and often times a bit less than other stores. Found a sofa/ love seat set I loved for over $2,000. Staff forgot to tell me there was a delivery charge ( but I'll take that as my fault).
My big issue is furniture was delivered and I was handed the legs for me to attach. 1) I have NEVER had any previous sofas delivered that I had to assemble 2) I'm on O2 dependent senior who now was told to lift and move two big couches.
Called Cannery customer service ( of which there is only one person for this job) I explained my dismay and shock and was told by this apparently 20 something miss that "everyone" sells and delivers sofas that the customer has to put the legs on. Guess I had been fortunate prior to this to buy from companies that took a bit more pride in their product and customer service.
And apparently ( per miss Perky) the store has no supervisor , manager, etc. to discuss problems with... just the sole miss perky. Very disappointing experience

Best Furniture Store Around
by John G.
I spent the better part of my vacation shopping around for furniture and realized I should have started at the Old Cannery. I did my research on a sectional I wanted and found it at the Cannery for 400.00 dollars less than the lowest price found elsewhere. I wasted time and gas trying to find the best deal while my friends kept telling me to go to the Cannery. I went to many furniture stores during my vacation and listened to so many different sales people try to conger up my business. It got pretty pathetic at times. At the Cannery I was greeted by a young man in shorts and a polo shirt. He did not fit the bill of a "typical," salesperson. I was hesitant at first because he had tattoos and a spiked hairdo. My reservations were soon diminished. He made my wife, kids and I feel at home. I was soon very impressed with the knowledge of product and honest answers. He joked around with the kids and made them feel a part of our purchase. When we were getting the order written up we were joined at the counter by another lady ordering furniture. Her salesman was just as accommodating as ours. Before we knew it the two salesmen began joking with each other and had all of us laughing. My family loves the Cannery, it's a little gem in little Sumner Washington.

BEWARE!!!!
by morgan m.
After walking around for 30 minutes, I had to hunt down a salesmen to help me which is strange. Usually they hop right on you when you walk in the door. The salesman told me they were very short handed.
After spending $2000 I expected my new bed to be delivered in new condition. However, it came and it was all scratched up. I called the old cannery and got an answer machine several times. Finally I got a hold of a manager. She told me basiclly in the future when I called that I didn't need to speak to a manager to get help??? I thought this was ironic. Anyway she sent another bed out. When it got here it was all discoloroed. I had to call again. They were suppose to send someone out to see if they could fix it. After canceling two appointments they sent someone out. He did not have the tools to fix it and brought a new headboard but the wrong color. So I called for the third time. They said they had no more headboards in stock so they ordered another one. I am not holding my breath!!!!
The service were rude and forgot about my problem.

Very Satisfied Customer
by Misty G.
I love to shop at the Old Cannery, I recently purchased a buffet and a hutch and got an awesome deal for half the price due to it being a discontinued item. I will continue to shop there for all of my furniture! I also purchase a mattress and when I went to pick it up it wasn't in stock. They went ahead and upgraded my bed for the same price as the mattress that I had originally purchased. Great customer service.

Very unhappy
by Anonymous
I have been shopping many times at the Cannery but my recent trip was so bad. The quality of furniture has gone down hill!! I bought a TV console that was $700.00 and brought it home. I had to return it the same day as it was such poor quality and broken. They would not even give me a discount on a replacement one, after I had to haul the console back. The sales person that sold me the original item did not even apologize to me in person. The clerk that gave me the refund was sorry but could not offer me anything for my time or frustration. I feel that this was poor customer service and I will never shop at The Old Cannery again.

Here's an excellent place to go for your furniture needs! It's housed in an old cannery building with many of the old fixtures still intact. They have over 5 acres of furniture, anything you can imagine. They have model rooms set up and you can get some great ideas for decorating or redecorating your own home or office. What a great place to go on a rainy day.
PROS: Acres of furniture
CONS: Few salespeople

I always go here when I'm looking for furniture. They have a huge selection and their prices are good compared to brand name furniture stores. They are a HUGE warehouse that goes on and on. They have everything you might be looking for - beds, couches, dinette sets, hutches, everything. It's just fun to go and look....it's a nice environment with a train that runs along the ceiling and they even sell homemade fudge. They don't deliver, but you can get delivery through them.

This store has a ton of furniture and very beautiful furniture at that. They have nice stuff and it is well priced very economically as well. If you need something surely they have it. They will also make you package deals too if you request it. So if you see something you want dont be afraid to ask for a better deal.

The Old Cannery is enormous. There is room after room of furniture, from dining room sets to living room sets to bedroom sets, plus rockers, kids' furniture, you name it. They have beautiful wooden furniture in a variety of price ranges. We always visit the dent and ding section in the very back of the store, where you can find some great bargains. On their website, they even have updated pictures of this section, so you can see if there's anything new that looks interesting. We have been very pleased with the furniture we bought there. Plus, our son loves the train track set-up that is overhead and goes through all the rooms.

This is the best furniture store I have ever seen. There are literally acres and acres of furniture. I can go in and browse for hours. We have been happy with every item we have purchased there. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. The "extra" displays are great (trains, manicans, etc).
PROS: Don't forget about their layaway.

If you need furniture or just like to look at furniture, you've got to visit the Old Cannery in Sumner. The 10-acre wharehouse is filled with a large variety of beautiful furniture at prices that are hard to beat. They've got everything from matresses to dining room sets, to living room sets and kids furniture, plus hundreds of acessories and more! If you like log furniture, they have great log beds and chairs! They even have a little 'soda-fountain' in the middle of the store so you can 'fuel up' for your shopping experience. If you are going for the 1st time make sure you to set aside a few hours to browse - this place is huge!
