.

I live near the IGA In Vancouver, WA. I do not agree with their high grocery prices in relation to the area in which they are in business. The general location is populated with low income people and residents and are mainly living on state assistance or some other form of income and most are not employed. It stands to reason that doing business in such a location a store owner would realize after being in business for such a long period of time, would understand the hardships that such prices place on it's residents and patrons of the store. The produce is not as good as other grocers and the meat prices are too high for the cuts...makes one wonder why the meat is so high....makes me think it would sit on the shelf longer due to the cost of the meat YUCK... The frozen foods are as well extremely high in cost, cereal, coffee etc...most items in this store are at least two to three dollars higher than other stores in the area..It places the residents in a very difficult position due to the fact that a lot of people do not drives due to their financial state and need to walk to get the groceries they can manage to carry home...and with the cost of the things in this store..trust me you won't go home with much!! and if you are on state assistance..your food stamps won't go very far and not as far as they would if you could get to Winco just up the street!! and this store is in disrepair which one would think would be taken care of due to the amount of money taken in....Also, recently I was in the store and not once but twice did I witness two employee conversations that were highly inappropriate while at work...One woman who is new to this store is really rude and unprofessional maybe you've seen her...Long stringy hair and glasses?? RUDE!
