This place is totally not worth it! Our service was ok, I mean our server did kindly tell us she was new so that was ok. But the food was terrible and overpriced! The kids seemed to be amazed by the animatronics (only like 5) for the first 20min but after an hour wait time on the food even they grew bored and annoyed. The music is too loud and management is plain pathetic. The manager (older white male) told us that next time instead of eating we could walk in and take a look around for free... So my biggest recommendation to anybody would be to just take a free walk around for the atmosphere because it is totally not worth your money!

Rude staff. Just wanted to enjoy a nice dinner with our daughters (birthday of the youngest one). Everything seemed to be started very well, we got a table right away. \r

This place is awful! Customer service poor and slow. Everything screams give us money! From the retail store to the attempt to get you to buy a membership to the over priced (and not that great) food. Everything is insanely expensive. I

So we get seated at 6:20, 15 minutes later our waiter Jorge comes over to offer us menus and disappears, 15 minutes after that he comes back and takes our order. So we've been at the table for 30 minutes now, no drinks, no appetizers, its 6:50. After Jorge takes our food order he disappears again not to be seen again for 20 more minutes at which times he tells us "your food is in the window, I will be right back with it", 20 minutes later our food arrives ice cold it is 7:30, 40 minutes later our bills arrive its now 8:10. The food was mediocre at best. If you enjoy extremely slow service, terrible wait staff, over priced mediocre to poor food and a loud obnoxious environment then go for it. Otherwise, go to the cheese cake factory ,which is right across the parking lot from this waste of time!

I was a restaurant waiter and manager for 6 years, and I've seen a lot, but today was the first time I went to a restaurant where reservations are (a) accepted, but (b) routinely ignored.

It's fine if a restaurant doesn't want to accept reservations; they have that right. If you're on a schedule and need to be able to make a reservation, choose a less busy restaurant that accepts them. Also, it's understandable that sometimes on busy nights a restaurant gets behind and can't seat reservations quite on time.

But accepting reservations, and then making absolutely zero effort to seat reservations before walk-ins, is stunning, outrageous and unacceptable. But that seems to be the norm at Rainforest Cafe in Southcenter.

I had made reservations the day before. When we arrived shortly before our reserved time, there was a long line. I walked to the front and said we had reservations. They told us the long line was for people who had reservations! Another one of our party didn't believe it, and went up separately and asked again, and was told the same thing.

It took us over half an hour to reach the font of the line. The party in front of us did not have a reservation, and was amazed that we had to stand in the same line. They were seated before us.

We were not the only people who had reservations and were amazed to be told to stand in line. We saw it happen to others while we waited.

One person with a reservation, and who said he was on a schedule, became quite irate about it. The employees took it in stride; they seemed to have a LOT of experience getting that kind of reaction from customers.

Again, it's fine if Rainforest Cafe is so busy they don't need to accept reservations. Good for them. But if that's the case, DON'T ACCEPT RESERVATIONS!!!!!

The food was excellent, but excellent food is available at many, many restaurants. Avoid this one if you want to make a reservation.

Love the RFC. Have been to several of them around the counrty. Always great food, good service, prices decent for what you get. We're adults w/no kids and love to visit whenever we can. Just wish there was one closer to us than Southcenter. We're in Monroe, so it takes planning & a bit of a drive to get there. Guess we're lucky to have one at all here in Washington.

Pros: Great food/service/love the fish tanks
Cons: None

I absolutely love this resturant. The service is great, the food is great, and might I mention the fact of the scenery! This is my third visit and I will continue to drive an hour and half just to go eat here! Great family environment! I'm not easily impressed, but this resturant is impressive to me! Very unique! Did I mention the food is delicious?!

The experience and atmosphere are why you go here. Everyone should go, at least once! There is no place like it. The menu is expensive and the quality does not match the price, but you will not be there for the food I'm afraid. Not bad, but not equivalent to expectations for the price. Kids will enjoy eating their meals with the loud sounds and movements around them, but adults will be glad to funnel out after senses are overstimulated for a while.

After reading some questionable reviews, we were hesitant to go and almost made arrangements to order an appetizer only. We decided to have lunch, and were not disapointed on any level. The service was excellent, and the food was fantastic. Well worth the trip! Kids or no kids, this place is filled with fun and magic... There are animated animals in this jungle atmosphere that reminded us of Las Vegas, with not too-loud jungle music, as well as impressive aquariums and rain mists everywhere. Great food!

Pros: Unbelievable atmosphere-

Cons: Very dark- poor lighting for pictures

Come on people, we need to keep our rating standards higher than this. This place is totally annoying with its poorly conceived animal automatons running through the same loud, boring and hokey action loops over and over and over again. It's Chucky Cheese with high prices, bad service, mediocre food and crowded seating. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this place

The resturaunt in south center mall looks great and can keep kids occupied just by its surroundings but the last time I went not only did I recieve awful service(an hour before our food arrived during slow time) but our food was bad. my friends salad was brown and slimy and my mozzarella sticks were not cooked all the way.

PROS: nice to look at
CONS: food was awful service just as bad

The prices here are really steep for the amount of food you receive. I took my daughter there because she received a free kid's meal coupon from her school and I still ended up paying almost $20 for the two of us. The food was good, but not good enough, in my opinion, for the price I paid.

It's a fun place to visit and very different than any other restaurant I've eaten at. My kids love the fake crocodile out front that you can throw money at. They also have fish tanks throughout the restaurant with some really neat fish in them.

They have a gift shop but it's a bit pricey as well.

They do offer a kids eat free day - I believe on Wednesday evenings.

PROS: Fun place to eat with kids
CONS: Expensive!
