Our office recently had an office dinner at Rippe's based on the recommendation of one of my co-workers. The steaks are of excellent quality and prepared well, the caesar salad is better than most, and the sides are quite good. The appetizer menu is limited wit only about 8 items, most of which contain either crab or shrimp which was a major issue because my date had a serious allergy to shellfish. The staff was very courteous and efficiently handled our large group.

Pros: TVs, Good Value

Cons: , Limited Appetizers

I visited Rippes as part of the dinner at 8 promotion, and was extremely disappointed. The entire theme of the meal was "more butter = more taste".

We started with stuffed mushrooms. The taste of the mushrooms was overshadowed by the butter filling.

I had a salmon pasta entre. Again, lots of butter, no subtlety to the flavors.

We ended with a Key Lime pie, which was disappointing again. It was rich and heavy - closer to a lime cheesecake.

The bread was great, though.
