this place has closed.
it was not able to ever make a profit.
complaint about $7 sandwiches...the place was run with Branches next door, all to support a local church.
call Crossroads Church if you have anything else to say...

Pros: it WAS on the bus line, near mall, quiet place to study or have a meeting with friends

Cons: GONE, would have done better on 4th plain or in Hazel Dell

The cafe is like that kid in highschool that tries really hard to be cool, but is never quite cool. The menu slection is predictable with no unique speacils and the prices are shall we say, overpriced with small serving portions. Worse, the cafe has this awkward feel to it.. something is not quite right about the atmpshpere.. the cafe is nether open and friendly nor reseved and initmate... Overall the cafe is close to beign a worthwhile place, but until the menu gets upgraded and the prices more realistic, a person is better off on passing on this cafe.

PROS: nothing
CONS: poor atmpsphere, hig prices, small servings

Nice atmosphere, and not a lot of other restaurants in that area. Went to get a chicken cesar salad the other day, and it was $9. Not a problem, other than the fact that the container was about 6" x 6" square. Not much for the price.

Cafe D'Vine serves more than just desserts, but I think that's where they excel. I'm not too fond of their regular menu and it changes from time to time. They used to have a fantastic turkey and cranberry cream cheese sandwich, but it's now off the menu.
Cafe D'Vine serves a variety of "foo-foo" coffee drinks and specialty teas as well. On the weekends they usually seem to have live music. I find the music a bit loud, however.
Prices are a bit high, but for a once in awhile special place for coffee and a great dessert, I think it's worth it.

The employees are as friendly as the coffee is good. The food has excellent flavor. But, the prices for the food items are way out of line for similar establishments. Food is ordered at a self-serve counter, then served in small portions on plastic plates with no garnishments. ( a typical 4" sandwich served without chips runs about $7.00). If you want a great cup of coffee and friendly service, it's the place to go. Eat somewhere else!

The coffee& pastries are great. Whether you like blended coffee drinks or lattes, they've got the best in town! Plus, the people are extremely friendly. And the selection of books and other items in the bookstore are great too.
