Mark, Suzie and their teenagers understand how precious the furry members of our families are to us and treat them accordingly. While my dogs are always delighted to see me at the end of one of my numerous travel weeks, it is obvious they adore this family. The kennels are clean, warm and each pup is treated as an individual. We have been coming here two-three weeks per month since June 2017.Tommy, who has always had issues with the car now hops in unassisted when I ask if he wants to see Mark and Suzie. Neither I nor my 3 charges have any complaint.

All I can say is WOW!!! Sherie and Prairie Farm kennel is HORRIABLE. Please don't take your dogs there. I know 100% my dog was abused, he smelt like urine and feces. He has stayed at many kennels and when I picked him up this morning he

COLD AND RUDE. When I dropped my puppies off I couldn't take my coat off in the kennel. She called us back and made us bring a coat for our little shih' tzu, rather than just heating the kennel. Treated us like criminals for not having the shot records, our house was flooded and we lost EVERYTHING which is why we were boarding our dogs. She was clearly on something and her elitist attitude was intolerable. We tried calling for days for a receipt and to visit our dog, her number was disconnected. Not a reputable place, you think they could heat the place or let our dogs go to the bathroom outside for 30 a day....

We had a great experience at Prairie Farm Kennel. Our chocolate lab was just a pup of a few months, and they took great care of her. They put her in a kennel to share with another older dog who kept her company and played with her. I saw where she would sleep and she was very well cared for. I'm very attached to my dog, she is my baby, and I felt confident leaving her there for several weeks over Christmas. I felt teary as I left, I was sad we'd be gone so long, but I knew that she was in good hands, and actually worried she wouldn't want to come back home with us because she'd had so much fun! Thanks Prairie Farm! We'll be kenneling her here for this Christmas!

I am very concerned about the care of my pet. I will do my homework to make sure her care is excellent. I cannot ,however, take seriously those reviews that are not signed by the author. If you really want to make a difference be strong and stand up for what is right don??t cower behind your vacant pen... It holds no relevance. If i choose to have my dog kenneled here i will make a review and sign my name. On the owners demeanor so far i would give her a B for professionalism and that is very important to me.

We read all these reviews & went to see the kennel, un announced, & were very pleased with the condition. The kennel is really clean, heated this cold winter & we saw several wall air conditioning units for the summer.
There was clean water & food dishes in every kennel. The dogs all had clean beds, were very happy to see the owner & employees, who obviously give them lots of care. The outside gravel play-bathroom area was clean & raked smooth, not a big of mess out there. Then the dogs went outside & when they came back in, it was all cleaned up again. We were impressed.
The owner said she would adjust the ck in hours for our convenience, which was a big help as we both work till 5pm. She was very strict about the food & shot records that had to come with my dog, which is really good. Other kennels we ckd out, didn't even ask for a shot record, that is just dangerous. Dogs can die from Parvo if the shots aren't up to date.
The 2 dogs in one kennel belonged to a nice vet who recommended the kennel to us also.
A very nice experience all around, we will come back regularly.
Sincerely, Carl J.

Our yellow lab just loved to run in the 3 acres of play area everyday. What fun & the extra charge was only $5. each time he was running in the 3 acres with the attendent for over a 30 minutes, such great fun. And the base cost was only $10. per day, this is the cleanest, most attentive, most wonderfu kennel we have seen in the whole state.
Prairie Farm Kennel is wonderful, they only socialize dogs upon request, don't just throw a bunch of dogs in a concrete room to play (hopefully not kill each other) & then they have to pee & poop in the corner of their own play area. That is discusting & the dogs will get stomach disorders & require an expensive VET bill.
You are invited to pre view the kennel & you will see what a great place this is & how your dog will love it here. They will find a play partner for your dog for Day Care too. Just love this place. Compare services, prices & facilities; this wins hands up for Prairie Farm Kennel.

There is no doggy smell in this great Kennel. They keep everything so clean, they clean up any dog mess immediately & sanitize the area. My dog loves it here.
My dog loves to run in the 3 acre play area, & with his long hair appreciates the air conditioning in the summer. In the winter they put him in a room thats warm, but not too warm. He gets loving care at Prairie Farm Kennel & we he will keep returning. They do not let dogs play together in big groups, which is very dangerous, but they will let your dog play with another acceptable dog if you ask. My dog loves to play & sometimes I have been told there was not a good dog for him to be matched with, and I really appreciate their honesty & good care of my wonderful dog.
Go inspect this kennel for yourself.

Our miniature poodle has been staying with Prairie Farms Kennel from time to time for 2 years. He has a nervous, submissive nature. He likes Shari. I notice when we go to the kennel, his head picks up, he "smiles" & goes to her. I have never known her to be rude or inappropriate. She has always returned my phone calls. After reading all of the reviews, I felt I must comment. There is an old saying "what goes around, comes around". We've all met people who seem oblivious to how they impact others, either through tone or manner. Sometimes people, even dog kennel owners, could become defensive in response to a critical attitude. Also, unrealistic expectations & communication may be a factor.(This is, after a DOG KENNEL,folks! Dogs poop. They bark. There are those that BITE. Dogs are as unpredictable as people.) Disgruntled employees can be very subjective & present a negative picture which may be biased. We don't know the circumstances of their termination. As to the alleged condition of "dehydrated" pets,I seriously doubt water was withheld. Some pets refuse to eat or drink when left with someone else. Prairie Farms appears to be a reasonable & safe option to leave my dog. That said, there will always be situations where the unexpected arises. I believe I get what I pay for & I don't expect it to be perfect. I watch my dog's reaction. He's happy. Shari does what she says she'll do. The price is reasonable. What more do you need?

This is the worst place ever. I got my dog back extremely dehydrated and she required hospitalization to save her. Sharie was extremely rude and condescending. She couldn't even tell me if Chloe ate or drank. What kind of care is that? She tried to tell me it was a normal process. What or who is she trying to fool. I AM NOT COMPETITION just and owner who wished I'd never taken her dog to prairie farms nightmare!!

Prairie Farm Kennel Is a great place. We have been taking our beloved Abby there for 5 years and always been happy. It is clean, heated and Abby loves the fenced 3 acres to play in, supervised, everyday.

The owner & staff have often gone the extra step to help make the stay there the best possible. Abby loves to be outside for 3-4 hours a day, & she can do that at Prairie Farm Kennel. And you can't beat the price!!

My Vet boards her 2 dogs a Prairie Farm Kennel and that is why we only trust our dog to the great people who really care about dogs. Call them the next time you have to go out of town. You will be very pleased with the service and hi standard of care at Prairie Farm Kennel.

I do not pay any attention to reviews that have no name on them. Are they the jealous competition?? maybe.. Go see for yourself.

I was a employee at Kennel about a year ago, and it was the worst job I have ever had. But this review isn't about Sharie's employees that she treats very poorly. It is about your pets and the service you recieve from this business. If you decide to bring your loving pet to the kennel it will be in for quite the adventure. First off if your pet likes to be infested with flies this is the place for him/her. You cannot take a step in that hell hole of a kennel without being crapped on by flies. Your dog will likely be placed in a cage and left there for 12 hours before being let out to go to the bathroom. If you pet decides to poop and piss all over the floor it will likely be a while before the mess is cleaned up. I had one dog take a steamy diarhea in its water container, I was unaware of what happened until walking in on the dog drinking out of his bowl. I was outside working on the owners lanscaping while this dog piss all over its bedding and duked in his water. When we do decide to let out these animals they go do their business after they are done, the employee will clean it up and dispose of the poop in buckets. Once the excrement is placed in these buckets it sits there for 1 month or until emptied. This allows your pets to have a fine dining experience on a bucket of poop if they so please. If you are looking for unsanitary poop infested kennel this is the place to go. Just a tip if you do decide to store your pet her don't ever pay to get your dog a bath or be ran. It will never happen. It isn't a priority and neither are you. Your dog will rot in that cage until you come get it. FYI Sharie(The Owner) is usually high on pain killers and somewhat dillusional. She will lie to get out of anything like the time a husky bit a littler dog on the neck punturing its flesh while they were outside. Instead of telling the owner the truth she covered up the bite marks by saying the little dog got caught on the fence, and then she refused to pay vet bills cause she is a cheap old witch.

(August, 2008)First of all, I would like to say that my dog was totally out of line and is/was responsible for the situation that took place at the Prairie Farms Kennel. I paid the total vet bill of the nice dog in question that my dog had the altercation with. Prairie Farms and staff were deliberately informed about what sort of accommodation my dog will need for the weekend. We simply asked for a roof on the kennel which was not taken in accordance by the Prairie Farms Kennel and staff. The Prairie Farms Kennel and staff deliberately disregarded these instructions and took no care of my dog and instructed accommodations that were requested. The owner said that she tried to call and inform me of problems that were occurring in the kennel that were a result of the deliberate disregard of instruction by myself and family on the care of my dog, but I have no record of this happening so I cannot believe her in her intentions in trying to inform me of these problems. She even had other phone numbers where I could be reached at, and still neglected to use those numbers to contact me in case of an emergency. This leaves me to believe that she is trying to cover her bases and do what is best for the kennel and reflect any reliability of these altercations onto other parties. In my opinion, she does not keep the best regards of the dogs and owners in mind. When discussing the incident with the owner of Prairie Farms Kennel, she did not seem to be emotionally involved with the victim (not my dog), but purely concentrated on how this would come back on her and her business. I do not believe she even cared about the dog that was a victim (not my dog). This is not the business that I think you should trust with your loved member and family dog. In conclusion, I take full responsibility for my dog and her actions, but I feel that Prairie Farms Kennel and staff neglected to take note of the needs of my dog which led to this unfortunate event. Even if your dog is not aggressive toward other dogs, DO NOT take your dog here as I feel they neglect to take proper precautions to keep all dogs safe. A good kennel must meet the needs of all types of dogs to keep a safe environment, which I believe the Prairie Farms Kennel does not.

Prairie Farm Kennel is a wonderful place to leave my dog & cat. We were gone for 2 weeks, & they really wanted to stay some more. The dog, a big german shepherd, loved the 3 acres to run & play everyday. The cat had been held & rocked in a rocking chair everyday, what a treat for her. The indoor kennels are heated & air conditioned, very comfortable. Wonderful place, we have been there many times in the past 4 years & will continue to trust their personal care of our best friends.

We have been taking our dogs to Prairie Farms for the last four years. Our dogs are always excited to go as they run to the kennel entrance when they get out of the car (unlike at the vet.) The place is very clean and the dogs are let outside many times a day. The staff is also great about letting you see where the dogs are staying and letting you help get them settled in.

We have been leaving our 2 dogs at Prairie Farm for the past 6 years. We never had a bad experience, they are so pleasant, caring and really love our 2 yellow labs. It is like a home away from home for them. They run into the kennel when we open the car door !!This kennel is very clean, heated in the winter and air conditioned in the summer. My dogs love going outside to play 4 times a day in the fenced area with the 8" fence and really like the 3 acres fenced play area that attendent takes them to play everyday. What a treat ! We don't have 3 acres at home. They really get spoiled at Prairie Farm and we sould reccommend it to anyone wants their family dogs treated really well. Thanks to the owners and staff of Prairie Farm Kennel !!

I have had the pleasure of boarding my dogs at the Prairie Farm Kennel for nearly eight years. I began with two elderly labs who always received excellent treatment, exercise and grooming. For the last several years, it has been my daughter's Papillon, a notoriously high-strung breed. He loves spending time at Prairie Farm, whether for a brief weekend or for a longer stay, as recently occurred when my wife and I were in Europe on vacation. I have had numerous opportunities to visit the area where the dogs are kept, and have always found it to be clean, orderly and well staffed and managed. My calls are always returned in a timely manner, and I have always found the staff to be courteous and cheerful. I highly recommend this facility.

IWe have left our family pet, a 2 yr old Beagle, at Prairie Farm Kennel on many occasions; as we travel a great deal. It is so nice to know that our Sophie gets loving treatment and the same care that we would give her at home. They inquired as to her personality, her habits, her diet and if she would like to play in the 3 acre play acrea. Well, that was a great treat to our Sophie, she loved running with the attendant and playing ball with him. Great fun. LThe kennel is always very clean & also heated & air conditioned. There are numerous Vets that board their dogs at Prairie Farm Kennel. Our own Vet boards her 2 dogs at this kennel. There was a dog at the kennel when we were there that kept chewing up his bed and making a mess in his kennel. Then the staff had to give that dog a bath, at no charge, before the bad dog went home. The staff goes to every effort to give excellent care to all the pets. I would feel very confident in recommending Prairie Farm Kennel to any other dog or cat owner.Mrs. Mary SchroderSpokane, WA

We recently left our dog at this establishment. When it came time to pick our dog up, she was changed!! She was listless, had diarrhea and had developed a limp. She was not the same dog that we left there. She seemingly was very traumatized --- how? We do not know. She was filthy, her bedding was totally ruined from feces to the point of not being able to bring it home. This is NOT a place you want to leave your animal. I REPEAT, YOU DO NOT WANT TO LEAVE YOUR ANIMAL AT THIS PLACE. Consider this fair warning. If you love your dog, find a different place to board. We are now in the process of taking her to the vet to determine the extent of her traumatization.

I took my dog, who is just like my best friend, to the Prarie Farm Kennel last September for Labor Day break. I should have taken the clue right from the start due to the lack of interest of a call back from the company. They never called me back for days and when they did the lady on the phone was very rude. To make a long story short, I still took my dog to the kennel and was apalled when I picked her up! She was filthy and sick. The conditions of the kennel were filthy and looked to not have been cleaned the whole time my dog was there. It looked like they had way too many dogs to handle. After about $1,000 in vet bills, I've finally gotten her health back! I'll never take my dog there again! I've learned my lesson!

MY POOR DOG CAME BACK TO ME FILTHY. HER BED WAS RUINED - COVERED IN URINE AND EXCREMENT AND HER COLLAR WAS ALSO . MY DOG IS AN INSIDE DOG AND HAS NOT WENT POTTY IN THE HOUSE SINCE SHE WAS A PUPPY, YEARS AGO. WHEN WE ASKED THE OWNERS ABOUT THE DEPLORABLE CONDITION OUR DOG WAS RETURNED TO US IN - THERE WAS NO APOLOGY JUST GRUFF EXCUSES.IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG , THINK ABOUT TAKING THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE. SINCERELY, A DOG LOVER

We were visiting Spokane for an extended stay, from Tucson. We attempted to visit this kennel prior to boarding our dog for the first time. We had a great deal of difficulty reaching anyone at the business, after multiple phone calls. We finally left a message that we would be at the kennel at a 8:00am, and asked that they call if the time/date was not convenient for them. No call. When we arrived, we found another boarder with dog waiting for them to open. After two calls to the kennel, we all left the site. Their business is only open 2 hours a weekday, i.e. 8:00-9:00am and 4:00 to 5:00 pm. They are open Sats. from 8:00-9:00 only, and are closed on Sun. They may be good care givers, but we will never know. We would not leave our pet with such unresponsive people.

a few of my family members board their animals here while they are gone from home, i recently accompanied one of them to pick up their dogs and was highly impressed with the cleanliness and the great atmosphere each animal was provided with. a very nice and clean place and the owner was simply a delight to talk with.
