These movies cost only $4 to get in. What's the catch? They're movies that are about to or have just been released on DVD. But it's the night out you're paying for when you go out anyway, so it's all good. The popcorn is regular Landmark Theatre price, of course, and the seats and carpet are well-worn. Pay for your movie a half-hour in advance and walk right by the long long line that's there every evening.

If you can wait a little bit longer to see a film, you might be able to catch it for $3 at the Crest. Its a great theater, just like (or better than) the rest, but you pay 1/3 of the price to see a movie. Its as simple as that.

PROS: inexpensive
CONS: North of Seattle

I can't say with words how much I love the crest. It usually gets all the good movies that are first-run at one point. It is a little out of the way, but it's worth it to see a movie on the big screen for only 3 dollars!

On a budget? Just plain cheap? For 3 bucks a piece, pop over to the Crest for second run films (ones that have been out a month or two), in this classic (a nice name for slightly run down and pretty old) theater. Much less corporate hecticness than the downtown theaters, and the young kids running the place don't seem to notice that I always smuggle in candy from the 7-Eleven across the street. A fun Seattle legacy.

Three Dollar Movies!!!!!!!!!!! What could be better? This is a Landmark theatre that plays movies that are near the end of their run, or just leaving, main stream theatres. They are not movies that didn't do well, a lot of them are great movies, high quality. The theatre is not located near much, but it has a nice, comfy, personal feel. No fancy lights or seating, but good movies at a good price.

This theater shows pretty much brand new movies for
$3.00 a pop! They might not be the ones that are released that week, but they are still new ones. The movies they play are not yet released on DVD, and even if they were it would cost you more to rent it than to see it at the Crest. The seats are dumpy and uncomfortable, but they have all the basics: a screen, concession stand, and seats, what more do you need for $3.00? It's always an adventure gathering up your friends and heading up to the Crest.Good ol' cheap fun!
