Review of Dr. Kosnoski, Edward. Be careful. Not a completely honest/professional optometrist.

Went in for a vision exam. Dr. Kosnoski diagnosed me with ectropion/trachasis. Said I only had 3 choices- to pluck out all my eyelashes, to go for eyelid surgery, or put on contact lens. Charged me 400 dollars for putting on contacts to "solve" the problem. (The sad part: I already have contact lens at home!)

I felt like something didn't make sense, so I visited two eye doctors for further evaluation. Both Drs states that I did not have the problem Dr. Kosnoski claims, that the treatments he said I needed were not neccessary, and there was no damage to my eyes. Called Dr. Kosnoski for an explanation. Instead of addressing my concerns, he accused me of trying to avoid paying my bill!! "Yelled at me for questioning him. Did not answer my questions or address the points I brought up, and then hung up the phone on me! It was upsetting- I was being active in the health of my eyes and Dr. Edward Kosnoski was blaming me. I'm glad I was proactive and checked with other doctors- otherwise I might not have any eyelashes right now.

Frankly I'm disappointed at Dr. Kosnoski. It seems like if you don't question him- he is personable. But beware, he may blow up a slight issue you have, and charge your insurance and you lots of money for "diagnosing it". Doesn't seem like a honest doctor acting in your best interests. I think he's out to make money more than anything else. Beware. I searched online and saw that other people have had issues with him.

This clinic was great! I was able to get in the same day I called to make an appt, I did not have to wait long, and the doctor was super nice. My new glasses arrived in 5 business days and the office called me immediately when they came in. Their prices are high, but my insurance covered all but my deductible.

I've been a patient at Fairwood Vision Clinic for 4 years and though the Doctors there seem ok, my experience with the office in general has been horrible. Several times when I've made an appointment and arrived on time as I always do, I've been told they don't have me on their books and had to wait over an hour. One time I was left in the room for about 45 minutes before the doctor came in, and that was after I walked out irritated that no one had come back yet. When you call them, you have to call back several times because no one calls you back. The only reason I went there is because I liked the doctor. I've been wearing my current contact lenses for approx. 4 yrs, based on the recommendation from the doctors there. Everything was great once I actually got them-I had been told I would receive a call when they come in but twice did not and had to call them myself and was told, oh ya they came in last week. The last couple of boxes I've ordered I've had problems with. The lenses keep tearing and though this is not their fault, it isn't mine either. Once they reluctantly replaced the pair that literally ripped in my eye while I was wearing them. And, this week again, actually the second time with this particular box, they ripped again. I called the so-called 'Contact Lense Expert' Julie and was told basically that we've gone over this before and that I've had my box for 8 months and that the last time this happened I had my box for 8 months. I felt she was implying that I was trying to get something for free or being dishonest. She said I'm wearing them too long and don't I know they are only a 1 month wear? She completely disregarded the fact that I wear glasses as well and that the pair that just disintegrated in both my eyes, were only 2 weeks old, and that next time I should get a different kind. Lenses will last longer than the 6 month wear if you are not wearing them everyday, Julie-you should know this if you are in charge of the lenses. When I first started wearing lenses to begin with the doctor told me that if ever one rips they would replace it for me and second, if these are the wrong lenses for me the so called 'Contact Lense Expert' should have recommended something else last year when the problem first arose. Meanwhile, I've already paid a good amount of money for the ones I have now and haven't gotten complete use out of them. I hung up the phone frustrated that she put this back on me and wouldn't do anything about it. So I called back for the manager - that was 2 days ago, and I have not received a call back!
I suggest if you want to feel like someone cares for your well-being, that you go somewhere else that is more professional and they actually no what they are doing!

This is a good clinic with good hours. I don't like how their prices are so high though. They do work with you though and the last time I visited was able to get a good deal on my lenses and matching sun clip.

Expect to wait awhile to been seen here. The first time I visited with my kids, they took about 2 hours total for two kids. It was long and boring for the kids with not many activities to do. This vision clinic is better for an adult.

They do take many insurances but their prices seem a little high. We've had to pay over and above what our insurance pays out for glasses. Especially the lenses. You can find lenses for about half the price at an Optical Chain store. Get a prescription and take it elsewhere if you are on a budget.

The Doctors are nice - run by a Father and Son team. The office ladies are nice and they send you a yearly reminder to come in for your annual check-up.
