The Everett TJ's is pretty much your typical TJ's; product is displayed along the aisles and at the ends. There's a sample booth with perpetual food and coffee samples, which is great of course. I'm not sure if it's the clientele or what, but people cannot navigate their carts worth a darn. There's constant traffic jams and people leaving their carts in the main thoroughfares. You'll notice that the newer TJ's attempt to curtail this issue by widening the aisles and moving the registers forward to prevent traffic jams and fistfights between 75 year-olds. My experience with the staff at the Everett store is that they (the stockers) are always busy (or at least appear busy) so they don't have to answer questions. So, if you're not assertive, you may never find that bag of dried fruit or specialty beer. It would be nice if the staff was trained to look for people without a clue or those who appear to be lost. Maybe that would prevent some cart rage incidents, lol. OK, so on to the location. To put it bluntly, the location SUCKS. The parking lot is frequently FULL and those same folks who block the aisles in the store with their carts are probably the same folks who just park and block you when there's no spots or circle like vultures waiting for "that spot" by the door. I cannot believe there are not more fender benders in this parking lot. Keep in mind that the location is shared with a few other businesses, so that may be contributing to the congestion. Leaving the parking lot and taking a left is like taking your life in your own hands. One must cross 3 lanes of oncoming traffic and attempt to get to a "safe zone" center lane which is also being used by people trying to get in to TJ's and by folks taking a left into shops across the street. Again, I cannot believe there are not more wrecks. Sitting for 15 minutes and watching traffic leave and enter proved to be about as entertaining as watching the Ski Cross at the winter Olympics (really fun!). Suggestion: Make it right turn only leaving the Everett TJ's. That would solve 90% of the congestion in the parking lot but it would greatly reduce the entertainment for dads waiting in the car.

I love this store both for atmosphere and products. I can find goat milk there was a local dairy as well as goat cheese that I have seen at other stores (exact brand) for less than half the price! They have nice veggies and bread. I like the organic options they have. My favorite wine is carried there cheaper as well. Every employee I've met has been nice, engaging and helpful. I wish they had a better seafood department. I never buy seafood there. It always looks old and not well frozen. Being in the pacific north west, I would think they could get better seafood. The only real big issue I have is parking. I don't even try to go there on a weekend. The parking is tight and there is so much traffic going through there. Last weekend, I even had someone steal a spot I have been waiting for for five minutes with my blinker on. That is not, however, really the fault of the store, so I didn't use it in my star rating. Just be warned, going at less busy times is much better.

Today I specifically went to Trader Joe's to purchase Christmas wreaths and greenery. Total purchase: one large wreath, four small wreaths, a swag and a pot of herbs. Total around sixty dollars. I made the purchases in two lots-bought some and then decided on more.Initially I did not take in my bags because I didn't think the greenery would be hard to carry. When I returned the second time, a customer was filling out a slip to win a prize. The criteria for entering was bringing or using your own shopping bag. I asked for a ticket but was refused by the surly skin head with pirate style earrings cashier. He said because I didn't have a bag, I could not enter. I offered to go to my car and show him my bag. He refused to give me one and said that my chances were only one out of ten thousand anyway. I took a cell phone photo of him because he was so impudent and puerile over the whole thing. What would it have cost him to give me an entry form? I won't stop shopping at TJ's. I just won't go to the Everett store. Mostly the people working at various stores are friendly and upbeat. Not here and they should be ashamed of talking with the elderly this way. I used to go to the original in Pasadena and many people from that store are still with the company. I used to say that I would never move more than fifty miles from one of the outlets. I am closer to others than this one and will go to them because most are still delightful and full of fun employees.Where has customer service gone? Maybe here they don't think the customer is king, but beware of little old ladies with long shopping histories! Shop the chain, avoid this outlet!

Trader Joe's is not only my favorite place to shop because of their fine products, but because the employees are personable and hardworking. In addition to the top notch in-store experience, I want to acknowledge their contribution to the community in items they donate to fund raising organizations and the joy they bring to so many individuals who have attended the Silent Movie Mondays at the Paramount in Seattle, by sponsoring that event.

A rare quality of generosity in this day and age.
THANK YOU!

Trader Joe's is the only grocery store I ever want to shop at. Their employees are friendly and kind with a great sense of humor. They do a lot of community sponsorship, and they have an excellent selection. They only carry foods that are high quality, so you never have to worry about anything you buy there being low-grade. Their prices are better than any of the local big name grocery stores, and if you ever have to return something, they give you a replacement without question. I LOVE this store.

Parking is really horrible on weekends but they have a great selection of health foods although their produce section is terrible. They don't have much much there and what they do have doesn't seem fresh.

Trader Joe's carries organic and specialty items at great prices. Their house products are of the highest quality. I especially appreciate their dairy selection as well as their wide variety of frozen foods. Trader Joe's is a family favorite.
