After having my daughter via C-Section last year and four months later having my gallbladder removed I found myself 80 lbs over weight and completely out of shape. I needed help in a bad way. I already had a very healthy diet, I just needed to find another form of exercise that I enjoyed besides walking. I wanted something fun, challenging and with results. I found it when I signed up for Aquarobics at the Federal Way Pool. I have always loved the pool and any form of aerobics. The instructors (Patty and Julie) are wonderful and make the experience fun and exciting. They are very encouraging and patient with teaching the moves and make you go the extra mile to get the best possible workout that you are capable of. Only two months later (and 35 lbs lighter) I have more strength, stamina, and flexibility. I will continue to enjoy my sessions and look forward to it each week.

This is a fabulous program and the Tuesday Thursday 6pm instructor Sharon Jensen is the best teacher in the business. She has been doing it over 20 years and is excellent. She really motivates you to work hard and explains what muscles you will be working for the different sets of exercises. She is outgoing, friendly, thorough and very knowledgable about always detailing out the benefits of each exercise. She is gentle but firm with her method of instruction. I have increased strength and flexibility and feel awesome after a great workout. This class has become an important part of my life and I couldn't do without it.

I tried Deep Water Aerobics last week. I wasn't sure what to expect. We got there and the instructor was super friendly. She had us put on belts that would keep us floating in the deep, 13ft water. I wasn't sure if it would really work...but they did.

It was an hour long workout to music in the deep end of the pool. I felt a little uncoordinated at first , but by the end of the hour I had started to get the hang of it. The workout got my heart rate up and the water really made me work to do the moves. My abs were sore the next day...which is a good thing!

I liked that there seemed to be all different fitness levels in the pool...I was worried that I would go and everyone would be ultrafit...and then me. There were people in the pool who were working really hard the whole time (maybe I'll get there) and there were others who were working at a slower pace.
