Fully furnished, accessible and staff are very approachable  4 Star Rating - Very good

I have nothing to complain about Vermont Inn really. It is fully furnished, I have my bed, chair, table, drawers, spacious bathroom, personal ref, iron and ironing board, and a large TV. Utilities are also covered, will just need to pay an extra $40 for the internet. Staff are very approachable and friendly, they immediately attend to your inquiries or requests. The room is not that big though, but ok if you're staying alone, and the stove and ref are not that big as well (not sure if you get the bigger rooms). My only concern is that it doesn't have a washer and dryer in unit. Overall, a really great place to stay especially for those who have just arrived in Seattle.

Not stellar but very good  4 Star Rating - Very good

One of the previous reviewers must have the Vermont Inn confused for something else. I've lived there for a few years and the manager is neither frantic nor disorganized, in fact, the manager is a "he" and not a "she".
The building is clean and it's near the Seattle Center and downtown. Close to buses and there are some good eateries in the area (although I'd advise everyone to STAY AWAY from the '5 Point Cafe'-it is literally the rudest place ever).
The building has laundry facilities and a beautiful deck on the roof, that people don't seem to use much except on 4th of July or New year's where the fireworks shows are quite visible.
Overall it's a good place if you are moving to Seattle or don't want the commitment of a lease (although I think they offer leases too). Their rent is the least expensive considering you are renting short term and not leasing. A selling point for me was that they included taxes, unlike most hotels.
Most of the staff is very friendly but like the other reviewer said a few don't respond a "hello". The stuff that needed fixing during the years, like Internet and plumbing they fixed immediately.
It's not the Trump Plaza, but you are not paying Trump Plaza prices either.

Vermont Inn--okay, but not fabulous  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

I stayed here for the first four months I lived in Seattle. If you are moving here alone and/or with a pet, it is a good place to start and get your bearings. The rooms are verrrrrrry small, but furnished, and come complete with TV, basic dishware, plates, and flatware. Do not expect a full kitchen--there is a microwave and portable burners, but that is it. Some of the staff members are quite friendly, but others are rude to the point of not even acknowledging a hello. DO NOT rent a computer from the Vermont unless you absolutely need to----it is advertised at $40 a month, which seems reasonable, but then they tack on another $40 for internet service (that part is NOT advertised). Also, while the computer is good for email and web searching, one cannot listen to music, watch shows or movies, etcetc---which seems like a rip off for how expensive it is. There is weekly maid service included in the price of the room, but I found it much easier to clean up after myself as the cleaning staff is not very efficient (AND only seems to come early in the morning; not good for those of us who work nights). Laundry facilities are fine and priced about normal. There are vending machines with sodas, snacks, and even a couple of frozen entrees, but they are out of order half of the time. All in all, it is a good place to start out in Seattle, albiet expensive, but not the best experience I have ever had.
