I had Charles at systems unlimited installed a 9500ci radar/laser in my 2006 911. The price was very reasonable considering the meticulous work. Took off front and rear bumpers, custom install inside for monitor and control --nary a

So I have to say, as a woman, I HATE dealing with car issues. I especially hate dealing with annoying car salesmen, no matter what you are buying related to cars. Coming to Systems Unlimited was entirely different. I was not pushed into

Car Audio Systems AKA: Systems Unlimited
Owner is charles maddy.

I have honestly described my experience, below:

I brought my pristine twin turbo z32 into systems unlimited and spoke to the owner charles maddy. I paid for a complete stereo and alarm system installed. ??charles,? originally told me he would need my car for a 1.5 days and one day turned into a total of over two weeks. When I arrived to pick up my car, I found the door speaker wires on the outside of the door's wiring conduit and the power-windows no longer worked that was just the beginning. As soon as I got home, I removed both door panels and found:
1. They removed the OE Bose speaker boxes and replaced with chipboard

2. They disconnected the OE electric door-lock poppers and installed plastic-poppers

3. The sheet metal screws used to hold the speakers to the chipboard were too long and went through the board into BOTH of my window motors (ruining both).

After figuring out the root cause for my window motors not working, I felt it prudent to inspect my entire car and what I found was an absolute mess:

1. I paid for OEM harness adapter and they just cut up all the OEM wiring and wrapped it with tape.

2. I paid for two new tweeters; they substituted with paper domed home stereo speaker tweeters. The covers were hot glued to back of dash vents and tweeters were sitting loose on the edge of vent tubing!

3. They removed the front & rear Bose speaker boxes and replaced with chipboard

4. Found a "rat's nest" of wiring under the dash pulled loose from stock wiring and connected to alarm system, stuffed back under the steering column. Alarm system worked a month, then started draining battery and going off when it was washed.

5. I paid for all new equipment but received two sets of used speakers (one of the rear speakers had the top metal frame-edge cut away; one of the Memphis Amps scratched up.

6. I had to replace both window motors.

7. I removed all of the stereo equipment; cut out all the system-limited wiring; purchased new speakers to replace the used/broken speakers; purchased R/L-front & R/L-rear Bose speaker boxes and reinstalled everything properly. I reinstalled everything, taking me about 3-days.

Good honest businesses with history of quality work just a few blocks away; don't be mislead by this guy and end up with a basket case, like I did.

I found these guys after spending way too much on a aftermarket car stereo system for my 04 Acura TL. My first system was installed at a chain store and seemed fine for the first couple weeks until I heard a friends car that was done by Systems Unlimited. He not only spent a couple grand less but got a much better install and overall much better sound using less equiptment. I took my car in and had them check out the system to see what they would recommend if I was looking to upgrade. I ended up having them sound deaden the front doors and the trunk as well as build a fiberglass subwoofer enclosure to give me back my trunk. Let me tell you, this made a huge improvement on the sound as well as making my car much quieter. Since then I have recomended anyone looking for a car stereo to these guys. It pays to do it right the first time. I could have saved lots if I knew about this shop. If quality is what you are looking for instead of the slam bam then check them out.
