Water Treatment is like HEAVEN!  5 Star Rating - World class

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! Finally used my gift certificate that I received from my husband and daughter over a year ago. Went on my birthday and received first class treatment. The water treatment was first class. I could've spent the whole day in the shower and the jetted tub. But no, I also got a fantastic massage and probably the best facial ever. They put warming mitts on your hands and feet while giving your face the best facial ever. Try not to fall asleep or drift off to dream land. They also don't force you their products on you afterwards like some unnamed spas. But their products are also fantastic and I highly recommend just about anything there.

Spendy Spa  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

I used Ummelina services for over two years - for facials and pedicures. Their pedicure is one of the best salon experiences I have ever had. However, they are very expensive and a time-heavy investment. Moreover, they do not seem to reward loyal customers in any way (whether with good customer services from the desk agents or otherwise).

Tied for best spa with Spa Nordstrom..  5 Star Rating - World class

Actually this place might be #1. The prices for both places are comparable, but I think I get more from Ummelina's. The waiting area, excuse me, "sanctuary", is quite nice. You get to sit and sip your tea and enjoy a wonderful foot bath/massage--and this is before your treatment has even started! I have never before had a manicure and pedicure in a bed! It is the most wonderful experience. You get to lie down and they wrap you up in blankets and you just fall asleep while your nails are done. I love it. Make sure you tell them if you want polish beforehand though. I made the mistake of assuming that a 45 minute manicure included nail polish, but it does not. The massages are amazing here. First you get to take a (private) shower with streams of water that flow overhead and out from the wall. Then you go into the adjoining room and have your massage. My experiences here have probably been the most pampering of any spa I've ever been to. The last time I was here I came with a friend and we both had Celebration Massages. My masseuse was good but kind of a heavy breather, but unfortunately my friend's masseuse talked nonstop the entire hour! So, my advice would be to ask for one of the masseuses who have been there a long time, or ask the front desk for recommendations.

An Oasis In Downtown Seattle  4 Star Rating - Very good

This is one of my favorite spas in Seattle. The staff is great - super friendly and very knowledgeable. The relaxation room looks out on the treetops below and you can completely forget that you are in downtown Seattle. I have never felt rushed and the services - from massage to facials - are always perfect. You haven't had a pedicure until you have had one at Ummelina! When you are ready for a little pampering - this is the place to go.

PROS: Great location if you work downtown
CONS: Parking!
