Lakeside Motors fail again! My friend wife and I went in to Lakeside pre-owned & new vehicles dealership to try and fix their original problem of them selling me a car that 'needs nothing' & 'mechanically sound' (1995 bmw 325is) for $4400. After taking it to a mechanic I found out that it needed $3500 worth of suspension/anti-lock brakes/battery repair! I brought my friend with me because I did not trust these guys anymore. Before being able to negotiate repairs 'Moses' told my friend to leave. Moses was rude disrespectful raising his voice and trying to be intimidating. I thought that if these were honest business people they would not have a problem with having someone else in their office trying to make sure they don't pull another "fast one". Only dishonest business persons would feel offended having one who watches out for their friends/family watching over their shoulder. This is only evident as you can see Lakeside Auto Sales gets numerous poor reviews and ratings. All they do is buy cars from the auto auctions fix them to a bare minimum of stopping and going if that and claim its 'mechanically sound' & 'needs nothing but a new home' & rip you off for top dollar! I think that they refer to the 'new home' - as the junk yard!

I just recently bought a 2003 mitsubishi montero from Lakeside motors, after being assured by Moses himself that there was nothing wrong with the car, and if there was, I could purchase a 900.00 dollar warranty that would take care of anything that was wrong with it. I took it to the dealership to ahve it serviced, and ti turns out that it needs a new motor, and the warranty would not honor it. I went back to lakeside motors to get my money back, and the dealer, Moses, would not honor the warranty, or refund my money, saying that I was screwed. DO NOT BUY FROM LAKESIDE MOTORS.

Stay Away at all cost!
These people are Scam artist!
Bought a 1998 Honda C-rv form them on 6/6/09
Transmission started slipping in 3rd gear 3 weeks later.
They told me that i was on my own on that And that they could not fix the problem.
Would not return phone calls...Scamed me real good. 7000 dollars down the drain.
Now I have to take them to small claims court.
And the car fax report was faked...turns out the honda was wrecked .
Take your business somewhere else. Take it from me..

I was skeptical at first, to purchase a vehicle from a small used car dealer for all of the reasons that one might expect. I thought, however, that I would do enough research on the vehicle and my findings would trump any misleading car dealer. I was wrong. After purchasing my Audi TT from Lakeside Motors, I had an unsettling feeling that this was not the right choice. Even though this vehicle had a reasonable CarFax report, it had some discrepancies. For example, the services that were stated on the service report seemed "off" when compared to the VIN number. Well, it turns out that the service report that came with the vehicle was from another car. The information was deliberately ripped off of the front so that one would not be able to notice the wrong VIN number. Did the dealer mean to mislead the buyer? I don't know but I wouldn't put it past them. This vehicle did not receive all of its major services and as a result, I am out over $1400. Please note that this is an estimate, I haven't received the actual bill but I do expect it to be GIGANTIC. But wait, there's more. The car dealer said that they would provide me with the remote for the car and that I could easily take it to a dealer and they would take care of it. Nope. I took it to the dealer and it turned out that the key fob was for an A4 Audi and is not interchangeable- $230 later... These guys are shady shady shady! Would I go back to these guys? Maybe if I was held at gunpoint but even then I would consider the option.

You might say I was lucky to have the car die on me (when the car stops with just enough momentum to stall on the middle lane, then the battery is obviously dead, and the emergency signal works for about 15 minutes before dying too while it is getting dark outside ) because at least I know the car is not for me and not for anybody who wants to actually drive it on extreme conditions. Let's be clear on what I call extreme conditions : at some point in the day the sun is going to set and you will turn your headlights big mistake because it will drain the battery.

So now let's get to the appaling response from the dealer trying to sell me this car.
I call the guy from my middle lane to be told for about 15 minutes that I must have run out of gas. So either he thinks I am a dumbass, or the gauge is defective (another thing defective in the car ? ) or he is a dumbass. I believe by now you know what I am leaning towards. An hour later they show up and fill the car with more gas (I can imagine what people driving by are thinking : "Did you see that stupid guy driving a fancy audi and forgetting it runs on gas ? " ) And oh surprise it does not start ... Yes my friend the dealer , the battery is dead as I keep telling you, you seem to know about quite a bit about cars for a dealer ... in cars.

Jump start the car , drive back to the dealership. The boss I had been negotiating with has conveniently left the premises, the only guy left looks at his shoes while I am handing him the keys. Not a single "sorry" from anybody during the all advetnure.

To sum up :

DON'T GO THERE !!!! Don't go there for the cars, don't go there for the service, don't go there for professional individuals or honest deals ! If you see a Lakeside Auto Sales sign in front of you, turn around and run as you are about to enter hell.
