This is our family's favorite restaurant including our kids. They have this ginger salad which is the best and they have fresh and the best sushi in our area. Among sushi (for the people who don't like sushi) they have the japenese grill which is a very healthy meal and is entertaining and you can see your meal being prepared in front of you. It's the only restaurant where we take our friends and family out of town or out of country and everytime they come and visit they want us to take them back again to the same restaurant. I would recommend it to everyone in a heart beat. The staff is very welcoming and great.

Fuji's cooks the food right in front of you and your table mates. Not only is the food (go with seafood and veggies) fresh, you get to see how it's made. Most of the chef's are comedians and will keep you entertained while they cook. This is a great place to take your kids or company. The food is delicious. Look for their coupons in the newspaper and you won't find a better deal in town.

My kids love that they cook at the table. This place is very expensive but it is something fun and different to do with friends or family. They cook to order at your table.

Go around 1 pm and you'll get very quick service! Above average sushi, nice miso soup and cuke salad. Same shopping center as Trader Joe's so parking can be a challege. Always nice servers, good prices on nigiri and rolls. Specials on the board. Haven't been around for dinner, but a good spot for lunch or a snack after shopping.

Episode #4 of the Udon and Roe show...."Ladies Nite." The first dissapointing stop of our global search for the best sushi in the West. I am always wiling to pay premium yen for premium food and service, and don't usually notice the final tab........unless the bill is double for what I usually pay and the food is 1/2 as good. Unfortunately, that was the case. The nigiri at Fuji is just average. Everything was fresh enough, but bland and lacking flavor. The maki was a joke (not a funny one). For a $12.95 roll, it came in FOUR average-sized pieces. Yeah, four. I told you it wasn't funny. For this price the roll should be an eight-piece mouthful of taste and art. Highlights...the seaweed and cucumber salad was decent and the edemame was just the right temp...but please, do you really go out for the beans? THE LADIES....not being fans of the raw, each had the teppanyaki grilled steak dinner. I sampled some of this dish and found it to rank 3rd out of the 3 teppanyaki restaurants that Vancouver has to offer. I'm already bored of talking about this place so I'll put it to you like this......if you live nearby and would like to entertain the kiddies with flying knives and an onion spewing ignited cooking oil.....stop on in. The service is good and the staff is very very friendly. If you'd like to explore many sushi dishes...grab a "will work for sushi" cardboard sign and plant yourself at the Mill Plain exit... youre gonna need it!

Pros: Sushi is great....

Cons: location is tough during drive times....

Cozy little place, have 4 larger tepanyaki tables that make up most of the restaurant, then theres a smaller sushi bar and several tables clustered together on the side. With my first order I didn't order much, two nigiri orders and two maki rolls, so that I could gauge the value and size of the portions and make a second order if I was pleased. I went on a Saturday and most tepanyaki tables were full. It seemed like this was too much for the two waitresses and the one sushi chef to handle because it took over half an hour for the small sushi order. The sushi was nice sized and everything was fresh and tasty. I would have ordered more, but I didn't want to wait.
I wouldn't recommend this place for sushi if it's busy, but during the week day mon-thurs they do have 25% off most of their nigiri and standard maki rolls, which drops the minimum price from $4.50 to about $3.25 and makes it a good deal.

Pros: good quality, wait staff did keep my water full, most likely better service mon-fir and sushi discounts
Cons: when busy sushi wait times are long, little pricy on weekends $4.50 for nigiri order, no public restrooms
