THIS PLACE ROCKS! I was referred by a friend of mine after going to another shop a day before. So I decided to get a second opinion. I came to Roosevelt Auto Repair and the staff was so friendly and happy. What really impressed me was the professional service they provide. I will certainly be back.

So glad we found this place. My dad's car broke down at the gas station across the street and we just happend to walk into this business and asked for help. Chuck was upfront and courteous and helped us all the way. At the end, the car was running in no time and the price and service was amazing!

I came in fully expecting to have to pay way over $2000 for a rebuilt transmission. It shifted way too late, the engine was revving too much, didn't have any power and another mechanic had said the transmission needed replacing. Ed took a look at my truck, and told me it wasn't the transmission, but somehow the engine was working too hard and that's why the shift was too late. He offered to look to determine the real problem, I took him up on it, and a couple days later he found the problem. The rear catalytic converter was blocked. The truck couldn't breathe. The part wasn't cheap ($700) but it fixed the problem, and now the truck drives and shifts like a champ!

It restores my faith in humanity to find a transmission repair shop that says you don't need a new transmission and goes out of their way to find the real problem! Thanks!

I've done business twice at Ed's and both have been very positive. The most recent visit saw Chuck checking and determining that the work would be done free by the dealer under a service bulletin. He even called the dealer to make sure they were aware of the work needed. He didn't charge me a penny for the diagnosis or his time on the phone. This cost him about $1500 worth of work that went to the dealer instead. Absolutely honest. High quality work. And they do more than transmissions.

I was driving through Seattle on my way to Colorado when my transmission died. It was a Thursday morning and I had to be in Denver by Saturday night. I got in touch with Chuck and he did everything humanly possible to help me out. On Friday, they dropped everything else they were doing so that they could get me on the road.

I have never met a more honest and good-hearted mechanic than Chuck. Given that I wasn't a local and would most likely not be a return customer, I wasn't expecting anybody to do me any favors, but Chuck went out of his way for me. He even got a mechanic in Denver to do a 1000K check up on the transmission free of charge.

Chuck was caring, forthright, and transparent throughout the whole process. I'm so used to getting swindled by auto mechanics, it was refreshing to find someone I could trust. I wish I could move him out to Massachusetts so he could be my regular mechanic. I would highly recommend Ed's Transmission to anyone. You'll be in good hands.

We have a beloved Volkswagon 2001 Eurovan. We love it and it is our family car. Needless to say, these types of vehicles need work. A dealership wanted to charge us 8 times what they charged us. They were kind and so honest. They explained everything that needed to be done. They also responded quickly to get it done for a big trip we were going on. They knew we needed it because we were sleeping in it and they made it happen for us. We will have it serviced by them every year. They can rebuild transmissions at a fraction of the cost of dealerships AND they will still guarantee their work.

Good service, good price, my car got fixed on time. I think its one of the honest mechanics I've found in Seattle. They will tell you what the real deal is in your car and what needs to be fixed first. Then you can decide.

Ed's will fix up your transmission needs
at a reasonable price. They can rebuild
older transmissions and I was impressed
with their quick service. And at a good price.
