best community college around

by Travis B. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 6,508

ive taken classes at bellevue, everett and edmonds community colleges, bellevue is by far the best. its located right off I-90, there has been recent road improvements here which always helps. theres many parking lots and a garage, but some are far away. the school is good condition with several new buildings and computers being more included into classrooms. there is always visible security and ive never heard of any problems there.

Excellent Parent Child Education Classes

by P. M. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 8,016

BCC offers parent / child education classes as well as affiliated Co-operative Pre Schools. The parent child classes are excellent, and are known through out the state. The teachers are knowledgeable and friendly, and the curriculum is perfectly geared to specific age groups. MY children have loved eac hclass for the past three years. The cost is very reasonable, but demand is high so sign up early.

Noncredit Continuing Education Classes - Just OK

by A C. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,886

If you are interested in learning a new language or some other kind of academic subject, I recommend you avoid BCC's non-credit classes and take a class for credit, either at a community college or one of the major universities in the area.

The instructor I had at BCC for German was great, and a native speaker, but the class only met once a week and the other students in the class were of varying levels, which made it hard to learn anything. We covered material quite slowly, and only once a week, which isn't a great way to learn a language.

The facility was ok, but the audiovisual equipment didn't always work which was frustrating.

It was an average experience, and a nice intro to German, but for serious learners, another university or language school would be better.
