Been a few years since I have been to a Cheesecake Factory, and the in-laws wanted to go for their birthday dinner so we treated. The place is designed incredibly well, but is lost in the cattle car herding mentality of the wait staff.

The food is average and it has a nice atmosphere. The desert was better than the main course. Always seems to have long wait times. Overall not too impressed.

Love the Cheesecake!!! Food is alright, but nothing special, also a little on the pricier side. But if you love cheesecake, then go here JUST for the cheesecake!!

Cheesecake factory is a great place to eat when you want good quality casual dining. It's not expensive, but the atmosphere makes you feel like you should be paying more for the food.

I went to Seattle on business this week and had a great experience here. So great, that I ate there for dinner on Tuesday, lunch on Wednesday, and dinner on Wednesday!

A gentleman named Daniel really made the experience worthwhile. He wasn't ever my server, but he helped me make good decisions on dishes and desserts. All around class act, as well as the other servers and bar tenders I encountered.

I can't say enough about this place. I've been to other Cheesecake Factory restaurants, but never one with a personal touch like I experienced here. Daniel even gave us preferrential seating...after one day! Great service, great people, great food...you get the idea!

My wife and I went to the Cheese cake factory for our wedding anniversary. She had wanted to go there for a long time. We made it out to Seattle from the Puyallup area early and made a resrvation. We then headed down to the Pike place market to look around. When we returned we were promptly seated and were attended to very well. We had drinks quickly and appetizers shortly after that. The food was excellent and prepared the way we asked for. The wait staff was very good at checking on us and getting anything that we asked for. Our table was on an upper level and I had a good view looking all around the restaurant. The place was bustling with activity and all the guests I saw looked to be enjoying themselves. Those who complain that the place doesn't have a childrens menu, should go to Denny's. I take my wife out once in a while to nice place to get away, we have four kids and like the time alone. If I wanted to hear someones little brat crying I would eat at home. I don't pay for a nice meal to hear someone elses kid screaming above my conversation. So cudos to the Cheesecake factory, I didn't have to hear one snivel or whine!

Cons: People who bring their kids and think I want to listen to them cry! Why???

Two people and we waited for 30 minutes to be seated. Service was slow and not good. Our waiter was annoyed having to get condiments. Servings were large. Food was ok. Dessert was good.
Bill was incorrect and took some time sorting out.
All in all below average

My husband and I stopped in to pick up dessert on our way back to our hotel. The restaurant was packed to the max! Luckily, they have a dessert counter devoted to take out! I settled on a piece of lemoncello cake. My husband decided not to order his own dessert, said he'd just have a bite of mine. It was SO good though that he ended up eating half of my piece of cake! :-) If you've not had this one before I highly recommend it. It's light and refreshing with a perfect lemon flavor. If we hadn't of been in town for just one night, I might've bought a whole one!!

I'm baffled as to why this restaurant is voted a family friendly place when it doesn't even have kids menus. Yes, you can find something to appease most children on the adult menu (pizza, fettuccini), but the prices are 2-3 times more than what you would normally pay for a kids meal. I have not returned with my three kids for this very reason. Get with the program Cheesecake Factory! Your name sounds family friendly, you encourage families to come, but you don't offer kids menus! Make up your mind on what kind of restaurant you want to be.

Cons: long wait (again, not appropriate for kids!), food quality inconsistent, no kid menus!!! Ads in menu are a turn off as well.

This is a great place to go if you're with a big group of friends. But make sure to go early because it gets busy once lunch and dinner time comes around. The menu is great because it has all different types of food and not just CHEESECAKE!

Our party of 10 arrived at 1 p.m. Sat. afternoon. We were told by the hostess that the only table of that size would be available in 30-40 minutes. With our large group it sounded reasonable. Hostess kept saying the party at the table we were waiting for were ready to leave. We waited for over 1 hr and 20 minutes, -- then the hostess decided to put 3 tables together for our party, since the party still wasn't leaving. Why didn't she just do that in the beginning? Customers who were waiting when we arrived had come and gone. -- Couldn't eat dessert there (ran out of time) so decided to bring a cheescake home. Our waitress offered to get it from the bakery for us and just add it to our bill. Sounded good at the time but when I got the bill, I also had an automatic 18% tip added, which would have been okay for the food and drink there BUT re-checking the bill when I got home --- an extra tip of $4.50 was added on for the $24.95 cheesecake. I could have picked it up myself on the way out and saved that $4.50. (Talk about salt being rubbed into the wound). -- My miso salmon was great! -- I believe in paying for what we get but my good feelings deflate if I feel I've been taken advantage of. Is that fair? The long wait is my main complaint.

I personally don't like to dine at corporate places, and this place always has that feel. The menu has advertisements, the servers are impersonal, and food attempts to make up for its unremarkable-ness by being served it vat-sized portions. I'd say skip the dinner, grap cheesecake to go and find someplace less formulaic to eat it.

A group of us went here and had a waiter who was rude to us the entire night for absolutely no reason (one of us asked him to bring a topping that was supposed to be on the salad, that's all I can think of.)
THEN, days later, I noticed on my credit card statement that the waiter had given himself a hefty tip! I'm not sure how he did it, but the receipt I have sitting in front of me clearly states one number and the credit card bill shows another, much higher, number. I am still trying to get ahold of the manager there to remedy the problem - how AWFUL!

This place has to be one of my favorites! Though I only go there for one dish. The Pasta Davinci! Their pastas have great cream sauses, and ofcourse there are a million different kinds of cheesecake! I recommend the Turtle Cheesecake! Not good if you are watching calories, and it can get a little steep on the price (we spend on average $55 +)

I went there with my friends the first time. She is a fan of Cheesecake factory. When she bought her cake as a birthday gift for her boy friend, I also bought one. After then, I am in love with it. A lot of flavors can be selected. It's better than those I have eaten in the past. However, I do not like the store and the price is not so satifactory. But anyway, I will go there every month. If you haven't tried it, it is the time now.

My last visit had a party of four all were disappointed. The spinach dip appetizer was dry and near Costco quality. Bartending wasnt great, with watered down pina-coladas & a margarita. The Cajun Rib-Eye Steak was dry and overcooked. The Steak Diane was very plain, with very plain and near room temperature mashed potatoes. The pastas are simply HORRIBLE stir fry quality right out of the bag. All entrees were obviously rushed and lacked quality which is unacceptable considering the price (my total $113). The drinks, appetizers, and dinners were losers. Hows the cheesecake? Hit and miss. Tiramisu has creamy coffee flavor. Lemon Raspberry Cream had timid cake with bitter sauce. The service is friendly, the decor is laid back and bit funky. Large groups dine with a lot of noise. Desserts dont make up for substandard dinners, so Im not returning.

My husband and I came here for lunch last Saturday. I had been to one in San Diego and loved it so I wanted my husband to try it. The restaurant was somewhat packed but we were seated within 10 min. The menu is huge so it took awhile for us to figure out what to eat. We had Firecracker Salmon Rolls for an appetizer (Yummy!) I had the Pecan Crusted Catfish and my husband tried the Shephard's Pie. Then of course, we finished off with a slice of cheesecake ( I forget what the name was). Good thing we got one slice to share because it was soooo sweet. The service we received was speedy and excellent. Our bill all together was about $55 so it's moderately priced. All together, we really enjoyed our experience there and will go back next time in Seattle.

so far, in seattle, each restaurant that i have eaten at are fairly good. my boyfriend olin begged me to eat at cheesecake factory, but i already heard a lot of bad stuff about this restaurant. regardless, i still went. and i was right, the food was awful. the food was way too greasy and yet its prices tried to be more expensive than it should have been. and the portions are just ridiculous. it can take me 1 week to eat the food, but it would get spoiled anyhow. but i have to admit, the cocktails were served in huge glasses. and so, i would recommend this restaurant to just serve drinks.

They have SO many good dishes to choose from you can't possibly go wrong. The amount of food served for lunch is enough for two meals - doggie bags are a must. Their desserts are out of this world - I have never found any other cakes or cheesecakes to rival theirs.

PROS: Their food & cool restaurant
CONS: Food is so good you overeat

a long wait in the rain left everyone tired. Then they sat us right by kitchen and we couldn't wait for the next table. So it was REALLY loud and then hectic with the kitchen noise. (not a good place for kids)

Menu didn't tell us it wouldn't be a hamburger bun (so son didn't eat the burger)
My salad dressing tasted "off". The other 2 didn't much care for theirs either, so we ended up leaving TONS of food. No one wanted to take it home.

Expensive! Crummy wine!

Won't go there again, even if someone else paid.

Certainly one of our favorite places to eat and visit after romping around downtown all day. Not out of the way and in walking or local bus distance of most things so you don't have to park twice. The food is spectacular! Aesthetically pleasing atmosphere with retro-modern feel. Inside or out, the scenery is exciting!

Salty, greasy, fatty - yes ... But when you say "Cheesecake Factory," are you expecting low-fat?? It serves its icon well. I like to go there BECAUSE of their comfort food. There's such a variety, as well - if you don't like the fried stuff, there are options. One thing I didn't care for too much was the price of a slice of cheesecake, but I suppose that I can give them the benefit since they are a chain and that's their specialty. But it's one of those fun places to share a meal with friends and we usually split a slice of cheesecake since they're so rich - we all know where it is! As far as service, I must have gone there on a good night - I had absolutely no problems. They were very nice.

The restaurant was attractive in a sort of generic upscale chain restaurant style.

The waitress was friendly and attentive.

This place is good if you like large servings of fat and salt. Portions are huge. The giant mound of fries that come with everything are inedible. The menu is extensive. It's just mediocre food. It's not inedible, just not that good.

And the cheesecake ---- it's okay, but then they add a huge mound of fake whipped topping - not even real whipped cream, I don't know what it is, but it's very dense and could probably patch holes in a leaky roof. It's absolutely disgusting.

I would not recommend this restaurant to any of my friends, but I think people who regularly eat at the Olive Garden and who think they serve good "Italian" food might like this place.

Someone else said the food was reminiscent of first class airline food, and that's pretty accurate. It's not terrible, but dear lord, for the prices don't bother. Plus, many things were oddly sweet- the overpriced drinks were tooth-achingly sweet, the fish tacos had an oddly sweet sauce... very strange. The wait was fine at 9:20 on a Tuesday, but the service was sporadic and unhelpful. I detested the ads in the menus- how tacky! Plus, I distrust menus that large- all I can think is that I'm going to get something out of a freezer. And that's what it was, pretty much. The cheesecake was pretty good, but not worth it. I gave my leftovers to the homeless girl spare changing outside, and good riddance. There are sooo many better restaurants in Seattle, it's a pity this one is so packed.

Fairly quick seating in a rather confusing decor. Sevice was fine. The waiter's suggestion of the bakepotatoe soup was right on. The rest was subpar. I'm wary of a menu in volumes. We ordered one Bistro Shrimp Salad and the Fried Chicken Salad. The arrived quickly and looked nice. The first bite my thought was "Did it say shrimp?" I could taste several flavors from the coating mostly onion rings, same with the chicken. The watier ask, "How is everything?" We told him. The only thing that happened was the manager came over to defend the deep frier then suggested we must be mistaken. No offer to take anything off the bill and I was charged full price for the lunch portion. We also figured out the ramp was the way for the waiters to traverse the restaurant to avoid the customers!

I go to the Cheesecake Factory on a regular basis (sometimes 2x a week) with a group of friends between 6-20 people. It takes a while to be seated, but the servers have always been cheerful and attentive. The menu is huge and there are lots of options for vegetarians and carnivores alike, as well as foods for lowcarbers. The prices are steep, in my opinion. A favorite restaurant for regular dining.

This is a pretty casual place, almost always crowded (20-40 min wait for a table on weekend nights) and noisy, however it's a fun spot to go with friends. They have very good mojitos, and I am a huge fan of their shrimp scampi. The Chino-Latino steak is delicious too, and the spring salad is large and tasty. Servers are usually friendly but sometimes slow due to the crowds. Seating is nice and roomy. Their cheesecake is great, but they put on too much whipped cream for my taste.

Not much into chain restaurants but what a great location, in the heart of the retail core. Downtown Seattle needed a big noisy restaurant for families of all ages. I just love the place. The food is great, its inexpensive and the atmosphere is noisy and fun. Took my nieces and nephews there after seeing the Harry Potter movie.

Pros: location, inexpensive, noisy

Cons: the wait

.

I've been to the Cheesecake Factory 3 times since it opened in Seattle. Each time it gets better. The first time (soon after it opened), the place was jammed, the tables were dirty (stained my shirt sleeve), the service was cold and food mediocore. Since then, the place is still jammed with people, but the service has been terrific, the place cleaner, and the food much better...seems like they've worked out their rookie kinks.

You don't go to Cheesecake Factory for a romantic dinner. It's a casual american fare place that is constantly buzzing with guests and staff. Based on our experience, it looks as though there firing on all cillanders now in regards to customer expereince. As such, it's our new go-to place when we're looking for something familiar and good while downtown.

Pros: Extensive Menu, Friendly Service, Fair Price

Cons: Busy, Loud

Even though the wait was long (45 minutes on a rainy Saturday night), it gave us a chance to explore downtown Seattle since they give you a pager. The booksized menu has something for everybody. Its hard to resist dessert with so many choices of cheesecake. We took home a piece of key lime and their most popular, raspbery/lemon cheesecake. Make sure to request a substitute for the french fries if you're not into deep-fried food which they serve as a side to many entrees. I see from all the reviews that patrons are hot or cool about this place. We say it's worth checking out. Keep an open mind and enjoy your dining companionship most of all.

For those who loved Soviet style factories and their models of inefficiency, this is your place. Everyone else, stay away!! When you arrive, you may be told there is a 45 minute wait. Double their estimate, as they intentionally underestimate wait times in order to keep you around. Once you get a table, count on 2-3 times the wait at any other restaurant. Their menu is so large and the kitchen so poorly managed that even simple dishes (salads, burgers, etc.) can take an hour. They try to make it all up to you with huge portions, but, in most cases, its just a huge portion of mediocrity.

Pros: relatively cheap

Cons: ridiculous waits, poor service, mixed up orders

The food is great as is the selection. The menu is a novel full of wonderful selctions. The cheesecake is spectacular. I've had Juniors cheesecake and it doesn't even come close in comparison to Cheesecake Factory. Excellent restaurant, it is my favorite just wish there was one closer to where I live.

I was very impressed with my waiter. Probably the best and most genteel service I've ever had. Was sincere and prompt without ever gushing or being too familiar. The food was quite good; no complaints there. We shared two dishes and both enjoyed them thoroughly. The specialty drink I ordered (Lemon Burst) was a delightful surprise; very refreshing. The cheescake was the least impressive part of the meal but I'd give the cheescake a good solid 'B'. Everything else gets an 'A'. I'll DEFINETLY go back again.

Pros: Excellent Service, Great Food, Lots of Selections

Cons: A Little Noisy, Very Busy

Big portions. Bland food. What a great place to add pounds to your already hefty frame. This place is on par with Claim Jumper.

Aftern traveling to most of the 55+ locations I find the quality to be the best quality and consistent. Try the MISO salmon, and most of all save room for dessert.

Pros: Fresh Foods, Excellent Service, High Quality desserts

I thought the food was pretty good actually - but the portions are huge. I always feel that's a waste - especially if you aren't able to go straight home with your leftovers! The dessert IS really good though - and if you like cheesecake - this is definitely the place to go.

Not only is their food not good, their cheesecake and service is even worse. When ordering a cheesecake to go they can't even correctly fill the order or provide you with a piece that is fresh. I will never be back to this establishment.

We dined on a monday night about 730. Surprisingly our wait was only 15 minutes. During that wait we met WWE's Michael Cole, and WWE officials, who knows who comes there on other days? Sometimes late in the week it can get into the Hour or so's. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive, but a little cold. Get some suggestion help with the menu. It is a novel...literally. I chose the jambalaya. The shrimp had seen better days, and i highly doubt it is "authentic" jambalaya, but it hit the spot. Their signature madiera is a little reminscent of first class airline food...I'd steer clear. Save room for the cheesecake. You'll work up an appetite just looking at the selections.

Unless you have an endles pit in your stomach or your just there for the cheesecake you will have a hard time getting dessert. Of course one taste of a it will make you want more.

The lemon-raspberry cheesecake is scrumptious. Selection is overwhelming (in that good way!)

CCF is horrible. I accept the long wait, you can tell when you walk in that it'll be a while, but the service is weak and the food is average. The managers walk around with radios on their head and look more scary than helpful. Also, there is so many staff memebers that you're constanly being run over by people in white.

I finally went in for a try, after hearing rave things form numerous friends and colleagues. Well, the service was good, the atmosphere fun, cleaner than my own kitchen, friendly as could be. The bread was great, the drinks fabulous. The foos, however, was horrible. Not only could I believe how bad it was, but that I walked out of there with a $57 bill, for food I couldn't even eat. Portions were plentiful, but for what? It was so bad I didn't even wish to take it home!!!
