I have never been so rudely treated by an employee of 24 hour fitness especially a service manager Merica Joyce. She lacks customer service and communication skills. Maybe it was her time of the month but that is no excuse to treat a person with disrespect! Her response to me was "I can just cancel your membership if you don't like it!" What ever happened to service? The club lacks customer service on so many levels. I would recommend staying away from this club! LA Fitness is only down the road and they are cheaper anyway!

Palms plaza location 131st Ave and 4th Plain in Vancouver.

The basketball court was available at the time to members when I signed up. I paid for 4 years up-front. Recently, the started renting out their basketball court between approx 2pm - 6pm 6 days a week to a youth organization. I expressed my displeasure to the club manager "Ryan". Ryan's response was if I don't like the situation, I don't have to be a member.

24 hour fitness is double collecting on their BB court. It's within their right per their contract. But really it's unethical and just plain bad customer service.

UPDATE -- As of 01/26/2011 the Basketball court is occupied --
Sunday 2pm - 6pm Rented to Advantage
Monday 2pm - 6pm Rented to Advantage
Tuesday 2pm - 6pm Rented to Advantage
Wednesday
-- 2pm - 6pm Rented to Advantage,
-- 6:15pm - 7pm for Boot Camp
Thursday 2pm - 8:30pm Rented to Advantage
Friday 2pm - 6pm Rented to Advantage
Saturday
-- 10am - 11am for Boot Camp
-- 2pm - 6pm Rented to Advantage

LA FITNESS down the street does not rent out their basketball court and they have racquetball. Their monthly memberships are cheaper. Thinking about switching over.

Other reviews on this page are old - and location is wrong. This site moved a year ago, converted to a super sport and is the best 24 hour in Vancouver, by far. Very clean, great staff, open and the machines work. Classes are great. Training can be pricey but highly recommended to help you meet your goals.

This club is loved by it's members. The members say they like this club better than the Tech Center or Andresen club. The members say people are snotty and rude at the Tech Center that why they come to 4th plain. It does have metal weights and all the new clubs have weights coated with rubber but many people like the oldskool weights better. Many people also have said that they like the machines better than the machines at the newer clubs. Everyone that comes in the morning knows everyone there and everyone is friendly including the staff.

24 Hour Fitness is not too bad of a place to go should you feel the need to exercise. I won a 10 day pass there but only went a few times. I really enjoyed the aerobics class that they have.

The fitness equipment seems a little old. The parking lot is barely adequate. And the club is lacking a steam room and pool. There is, however, still a dry sauna. The music they play is pretty good. Mostly club and pop music, which I like cause it always gets me in the mood to work out. All in all, not the best 24 Hour club there is, but if you live close by and only use basic equipment, it's not that bad.

PROS: Not very busy
CONS: Not very busy, not as well equiped as other locations.
