I found Central Avenue Automotive in 2000 when I needed help with a used motor home I bought. Since then, they have taken care of all of my cars including:
2000 VW Jetta TDI
2000 BMW 323i
1983 Mercedes diesel
2006 VW Jetta TDI
2006 BMW 325xi
2006 Ford F350
They are not only incredibly competent in determining the source of any automotive issue you have, they are very friendly and priced very fair.
You won't be disappointed if you give them the opportunity to serve you.

I have little to no technical knowledge about cars and several months ago the "timing belt" broke off and blown the head gasket and the damaged the pistons...if you know about cars you will know this isn't a pretty picture... Anyways, normally this kind of job would take somewhere from 1 to 2 weeks and it can get very expensive, but the shop did it in less than a week and the costs came in much less than what other shop quoted me. I could have avoid all this trouble if I would have done my 100k services on time and change the belts and hoses...felt so stupid but rather than being talked down to like many other shops' mechanics; the guys at Central Ave Auto were extremely patient and friendly throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend this shop to my friends and families.

The team (Blake and Bill) are great and their rates are honest and fair. Keep in mind, no visit to a mechanic's shop is always perfect but frankly, these guys are straight to the point, honest and will tell you what you need to do. Give them a chance!

these guys were fair and honest and do great work I will refer all my freinds to them. The fixed my wifes honda 300 less than Greggs and 500 less than the dealer Thank you Central Ave Auto

I went to this shop since it was well-reviewed on this site. I would NOT go there again! I took my car in to have my headlights fixed, and they told me there were no less than four other completely unrelated repairs that needed to be done, including a transmission leak! I took my car to my usual transmission mechanic, and he put my car on a lift and showed me my transmission was fine--it was an oil leak instead!
I don't know if it was an honest mistake or if they were trying to bump up the bill and scam a female customer, but I'm not going back to a mechanic who can't even tell transmission fluid from motor oil! If you go there, make SURE you actually need any of the repairs they recommend! I gave them two stars only because they did fix my headlights like I asked.

I finally have a shop I thoroughly trust! I have taken my car in there thinking something was wrong - they actually called me and said no, it was just such and such!! I couldn't believe it!! And not once but two different times!! When I have needed work they have explained everything, given me the options both pros and cons and had everthing done in a timely manner.
Their prices are great, service is even better!!

I called for a estimate they were so nice to me, and when they repaired my car it actually worked and the estimate and the bill were the same what a great bunch of guys I have sent my mom and dad to get their cars repaired and then I had brakes installed on my car last week and they just as good the second time around so I thought i would let you all know

Central Avenue Automotive is much better priced than any of the repair shops around. We always get the best deal when we take our cars to them. They often send out coupons and we have always had a great experience.

As always, the service is wonderful. Thank you Blake for having a personal conversation with the daughter on the maintenance and car of her car. The guys in the front are awesome and makes you experience at Central pleasant even when you need to spend money on your car!!!!
Great service and competative rates. I've used Central Ave Auto to perform service on three vehicles and highly recommend. They are professional, provide great details of what service will be and has been performed. They know what they are doing and do it well. I've never had any problems with any service. They are open M-F until 5pm. My only complaint, and it's not a biggy is that I wish they had extended hours or were open on Sat
Pros: Great service and knowledgeable
Cons: Parking can be a challenge and not open on weekends
They fixed my car and did it one day I thought I needed a new clutch they inspected it for free and replaced the clutch master cylinder it was done in 1 day and for a lot less than the other shop that was going to replace the clutch
