The Bellevue Art Museum is very easy to find because it is located across the street from Bellevue Square. The two young ladies working at the front desk were not friendly and appeared stuck up. My husband and I were not promptly greeted, although there was no one else in line as we stood there for a minute. The staff did not offer any insights to the featured exhibits. We were given computer labels to put on your clothes to identify ourselves as visitors. Only a few major art pieces are featured on the first floor to view. To get to the other two floors of the museum you are required hike up steep steps or take an elevator that is sort of hidden. The Museum was not designed with the physically disabled in mind! Museum is spacious and modern but it does not do a good job of using the space available. The museum offers free entry on Friday evening. I suggest taking up this offer, instead of paying 7 dollars and being disappointed.

Pros: Convenient location

Cons: Unfriendly staff and lack of permanent displays

My most recent visit to BAM was to see the teapot exhibit but was pleasantly surprised to see other very interesting exhibits featured that day as well. Staff is very knowledgable with the exhibits and happily answer any questions. I will certainly return in the future.

They moved years ago and built a spectacular building. Then for funding reasons closed, they recently re-opened...the first exhibit was very weird and not to my liking at all,,,teapots and eyeballs. Yuck. Hopefully the exhibits will improve.

A bunch of my friends and I took our 1 year olds to the Bellevue Art Museum one afternoon, and we had a blast. The exhibits were beautiful, the architecture of the builing was amazing, and there were plenty of open spaces for the kids to run around. Best of all, the mall is across the street so you can go out for lunch after you visit the museum.

I would like to give compliments to the Bellevue Art Museum for allowing Espresso Americano to be located inside of the museum. I was there this past Sat. evening and enjoyed sipping on a Cremosa while listening to their live musical performance. Perfect place to relax and listen to art:) I picked up a schedule and will continue to pop in weekend evenings!

I just viewed Houses x Artists and Bread & Puppet at BAM, two distinctly different exhibitons but equally rewarding. The models in Houses x Artists were a blast to play with as was the interactive game. Bread & Puppet is one of the most visually stunning installations I have seen in quite some time. Highly recommended. Great cup of coffee in the Cafe too.
