I had stayed the Fairground Inn twice in couple of month with my buddy, I thought they have economic comfort for night with price and service. I guess that the motel owner has been changed, when I checked in there were different manager

MOTEL FROM HELL. First off the only "good" review was written by the owners,as you can tell by the grammar, plus this is the owners personal email name. I really do not know where to start. We had a small house fire, and had to find a motel

I just called the Fairgrounds Inn to book a room for a family member. Its a big emergency and my family member needed a place to stay for 1 month. I live approximately 150 miles away from the hotel, but thought it would be convienent for my family member to stay at because its handicap accessible and pet friendly (My family member is in a wheelchair and the hotel has many ground floor rooms). I dont have an option to drive to the hotel and book it in person so I was forced to call them. The individual who answered my call was rushed, rude, and unwilling to help me. I asked him how much their monthly rates were and if I could book a room via telephone with my debit card.. His response to me was, "Call back tomorrow and speak with my Boss, I cant help you with those questions", I advised him that it was urgent and I would like to book a room for one night only and I will call back later to speak with his boss about the monthly rates and his response again to me was, "Call again tomorrow, thank you". Terrible service. I decided to call another hotel in the area and they were more than happy to help me. The Fairgrounds in just lost my business for sure.

We stayed at this motel from July to October 2007. My husband was helping to build the new Lowe's. We mainly stayed there because of the convenience to the job site and because they are pet friendly so we were able to have our dogs with us.

Our room was big with 2 beds and a kitchen unit. The maids were very friendly.

They gave us a monthly rate which was half price, however we only were given the monthly rate for the first month. They then told us that because the Evergreen fair was going on that we would have to pay weekly ($550 per week) but assured us we could have the monthly rate back after the fair. After the fair they told us no more monthly rates. We continued to pay the weekly rate.

After we started paying the weekly rate they charged us tax and continued to charge us tax for 2 more months. According to the Washington State law we should not have been charged any tax after the first 30 days and since we paid a monthy rate the first 30 days we should not have been charged tax at all. We were never refunded the tax that we paid.

I took care of the cleaning since we have 2 dogs and it was just easier for me to do it then to have to take the dogs somewhere while the maids did it. When I went to exchange sheets and towels I had to count them out as if we were going to steal the darn things.

I know of at least 3 people that stayed during the time we were there that were not given their room deposits back due to supposedly missing or stained towels. This seemed utterly ridiculous to me.

The people at the front desk were snippy and seemed as if it was an inconvenience to be bothered if we went to ask them anything.

I felt that the owner was just out to make a buck and cheat people out of money any way he could.

They walked through our room before we were given our deposit back. I don't know if they have had less than trustworthy people stay there but I was disappointed with the treatment we got for the amount of money we paid out.
