This was our first family experience with an orthodonist. My son is 12 years old. I had a lot of questions about the process and treatment plan. The staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. Highly recommend the office.

I would really recommend Dr.Sutherland because the appointments are quick and easy and painless they have a easy check in computer and the nice staff members choose out your next appointment that fits in your schedule. Also they explain to you what changes are happening to your teeth and whats to be done next. This why i made my choice to go to Smiles By Sutherland.

We had our first appointment today and I am amazed at the level of customer service and caring that he and his staff exuded. I left assured that I had made the right choice in choosing Dr. Sutherland for my daughter's orthodondia treatment.

Dr. Sutherland is an Amazing orthodontist i have been at SBS for nearly 5 years now and i am definitely seeing indescribable results! I currently have the Damon system and can;t wait to see my results!!

My daughter is just starting the orthodontic process. She is not the biggest fan of going in for dental procedures so starting this really worried me. But, the staff has been so caring and supportive. When she had her sagittal expander put in today it was such a non-event. It was such a relief! Personally, I love it how the staff is so accommodating by answering any and all the questions I have. I feel like we have found the perfect fit for our family.

I love to go to the orthodontist although its painful to have braces after having at least 10 other things before braces o lobe the atmosphere and the employees they are very kind and loving. Its a great christian office for anyone...

I purchased the Damon System from Dr. Sutherland. Every time I went into their office for my check up all of the staff members were very friendly and nice. I always looked forward for my next check ups. I think that the Damon System is a very good deal because nice straight teeth are worth it in the long run. I will recommend them to anyone that is thinking about getting braces. Some tips i would give to other customers is to go to all of your scheduled appointments and be sure to brush your teeth regularly.

We went to a couple different orthos and I let my son pick and he said he wanted to go here. He really liked the office staff and I liked them too! We would definitely refer others to this office. They also have a great incentive program for the kids.

Dr. Sutherland's orthodontia clinic has to be, in my opinion, the best in Washington. The atmosphere is great and the amount of entertainment it has is amazing! Its employees are nice and always ready to answer a question. The establishment is beautifully decorated and well run. I highly recommend it.

The staff at Dr. Sutherland's office were professional and courteous. Their patience as I mulled over the financial ramifications of paying for braces, was greatly appreciated. In fact it was because of their patient approach that I have been able to be in full support of making the financial commitment to go down the road of getting my daughter braces. Although their office is very efficient, I did not feel pressured to "sign on the line" at any time. I highly recommend them for anyone considering this avenue.

Dr. Sutherland was a great orthodontist who always got me in at a great time. I have had an expander, a tongue re-trainer, a bite plate, and now I have braces. He is great the staff is great and I would totally recommend him to any one looking for an orthodontist.

Nice staff, lots of people working there, why so many? Kind of expensive compared with other orthodontists. New to this office so not a lot of experience to rate it on.

You know you're getting good service when you're sad to no longer see the people. I just recently got my braces off and I was very sad to know I won't see anyone for a year :( They were extremely helpful and funny and I'm happy I was able to go to Dr. Sutherland's office. His orthodontic assistant, Jeannie is soooooo funny! I love her. I would definitely recommend Dr. Sutherland for your orthodontic purposes! :)

the staff were both helpful and skilled and make it so that braces are not that big of a deal. In the end i would definitely recommend Dr. Sutherland to any of my friends in need of an orthodontist.

Dr. Sutherland and his team are very kind and understanding of our child. They go out of their way to accomadate my child's needs. They ease the fear sometimes associated with orthodonic care.

I have been goin to Dr. Sutherland for a year and have so far had great results. The staff is always kind and doing there best to help you. Plus, in the waiting room, there is a X-Box and a Wii to keep you entertained while you are waiting.

Along with amazing results they also have a very cool office and extremely nice staff. The office has a gamecube and a wii so your little bros and sisters are entertained while your getting worked on by a nice staff.Also if your getting braces or some othor applience thare's a big color selection, and if your dentis says you did a good job of brushing your teeth (i guess for kids only) you can get like a t-shirt or a fm radio. This is by far the best ortho place ive ever been to.one more thing, in the office they have a tv that shows what diffrent appiences do and the before and afters of kids and adults mouthes

I've been going to sutherland for almost three years and it has been great. A family member of mine also went there and his teeth are amazing and my smile has improved alot. Dr. Sutherland and his staff are all very polite and answer any questions i have.

I'm 12 and I've been going to Dr. Sutherland since I was 8 1/2. I will be getting braces in a few months, but have already had several appliances and my smile looks alot better. Everyone in his office is very nice, including Dr. Sutherland. I would definitely recommend Dr. Sutherland.

At the beginning of my treatment it was eminent that I was to need jaw surgery costing around $20,000. I get my bands off tomorrow and my bite is corrected, I am so thankful for the experiences I have had with Dr. Sutherlands office. No need for jaw surgery! Dr. Sutherland stuck with me all the way. I recommend Dr. Sutherland to anyone looking into getting braces.

Take a 40-something business professional; add a mix of public speaking and professional networking - then consider those once slightly crooked teeth that continued their wayward path for more years than you care to remember. That's where I came to know Dr. Sutherland and his office family.
I say office family because they really are! A lot of businesses advertise their family environment and team spirit, but Dr. Sutherlands Smiles By Sutherland office staff truly is working as a team, and does so in the spirit of caring that is unmatched in customer service and care!
Its almost shocking to know that the words customer and service still have meaning in these times of rush here, hurry there, and fit it in schedules.
When was the last time someone asked you if there was anything else they could do for you and actually meant it? Well, it happens every time I visit Dr. Sutherlands office. And its not just the staff Dr. Sutherland actually takes the time to understand your special needs and concerns, addressing them through a well defined treatment plan that is shared with the entire team. Its as if they all become part of your personal treatment process.
I wish I had the luxury of addressing my dental alignment issues at an early age; but that didnt happen! And when looking at the option of wearing braces, I wanted something that worked for me. I wanted to know that the solution I chose would fit my life and lifestyle. For me it was Invisalign. The cost and time in treatment were about the same as regular braces and, after only a minor refinement at end of the originally estimated treatment program, I now have the smile I always wanted. And the best part I have it for the rest of my life!
There is one other thing I came away with at the end of my treatment a new family of friends at Smiles by Sutherland.
So - how do you rate an experience like this? The answerway beyond the 5 stars this site allows!!!!

I first encountered Dr. Sutherland about 10 yrs ago as a referral from my Dentist. They said my daughter had an overbite and needed braces, Dr. Sutherland said different! She has a beautiful set of teeth at 21 yrs old now. So when my sons front teeth started coming in crooked, I took him to only ONE Ortho man...you know who. He fixed my son up with an apparatus that fixed his front teeth in no time. Dr. Sutherland continued to have my son back for checkups to see how he was progressing. Now that he is ready for braces (11 yrs) I didn't even consider taking him anywhere else. I figure if Dr. Sutherland could be honest enough to decline putting braces on one of my children, he would be honest enough to do the right thing with my other child AND he does WONDERFUL work.

I have been going to Dr. Sutherland's office for a long time. Since I was little. I always feel very comfortable there. I have many different types of mouth pieces and they never hurt. When I got braces they hurt a little at first and for about a week after the first tightening, but now i have had them tightened three more times and they never hurt anymore. This place does wonderful work.

We have only been with Dr. Sutherland's office for about 3 months now but we have been so pleased with the experience so far. Before meeting him, we had met with 3 other orthodontists and we knew right away that Dr. Sutherland was the orthodontist for us. He was so knowledgeable and answered all our questions without falter. Everyone is his staff that we've met so far has been extremely helpful and polite! They always have a smile on their face, even over the phone!!!! :) I appreciate their professionalism and kindness and we will definately recommend his office to anyone in need of orthodontics!

Dr. Sutherland and his staff really take care of their patients. I have had two children receive treatment from his office. Both have great smiles! The office also supports the community and kids of Puyallup. I would recommend this office for anyone looking for orthodontic treatment!

Dr. Sutherlands staff is caring and respectful and answers all of my questions. Their advice is the best you can get and I always use it. My teeth are looking wonderful and now I actually like my own smile! My parents say that the waiting room has a living room theme and it makes them feel at ease and relaxed. I always enjoy going to my appointments because im always greeted with a smile and I always leave with a smile.

We've been so happy and impressed with Dr. Sutherland's office. Both our children have been treated there, and our experience has always been top notch. The professionalism and kindness of the entire staff demonstrates their commitment to the quality of care provided. The philosophy at work there means our kids will get the best treatment available for their long term oral health.
I love the way they empower the kids to own the responsibility for their treatment, appointments, appliances, etc. We also love the high tech aspects of Dr. Sutherland's office. His website is wonderful; we also appreciate the email reminders of appoitments.

Three out of four of our family members have gone to Dr. Sutherlands. My two kids have been through the first phase of orthodontia and my husband is currently wearing braces to correct a cross bite that could have ended in crowns for all of his teeth or jaw surgery without treatment. He is doing very well. It looks like he will be able to avoid surgery. As far as the kids, it was recommended by the dentist and by Dr. Sutherland that they have treatment in two phases, the first phase to bring out the jaw and widen the pallette with the hope that they wouldn't need braces, that thier teeth would come in straight. Of course this did not happen, and after seeing what Doctor Sutherland can do in just one phase with an adult I rather wish that we would have waited and just done one phase. We would have saved a considerable amount of money. So I guess the four star rating is just because of cost and confusion about the two phases of treatment. I am not sure that two phases were totally necessary.

I had my teeth fixed by Dr. Sutherland and he did an incredible job. I couldn't believe he was able to give me perfectly straight teeth without pulling any out. The staff and all are fabulous and very understanding and easy to talk to. I always appreciated there friendly and generous attitude. Dr. Sutherland is a very generous and caring person and I recommend him to any one looking for an orthodontist.

We have been coming to see Dr. Sutherland for the last 7 years. My daughter has had MANY appliances and has loved showing up for appts to show the girls how well she's doing. She just got braces on today and is sore, but is flashing a bright and shiny smile alot already. Dr. Sutherland's office is warm and friendly for all of us and they explain everything that's going on well to you. Love coming here!!

I have been going to see Dr Sutherland since I was four. Now I'm in the sixth grade and getting braces. His helpers are nice and I can play Wii if we have to wate which isn't very often. He rocks!!
