January 4th 2012... I researched this spa and compared it to response time and other ratings online. I am 9 months pregnant and wanted a spa experience. I've been used to the medical massages through pregnancy and I just wanted a relaxing spa atmosphere. First off I was a bit worried about parking because I had seen people post something about having a hard time parking. I guess this was the old spot because I parked right out front. Not only did I park out front but when the meeter ran out the receptionist/hostess went out to pay my parking meter again. This gave me no worries through my massage and facial. I had Nina for my massage. She was great and although she can't rub as intense as I wanted due to me being 9 months pregnant... she still gave a great massage and pressure that made my aches go away. I kind of wished they had a table for pregnant bellies but I felt just as relaxed with the pillows instead. That would be the only step up I would say that could happen. But I couldn't find any spas that had one in the city. Julianne the owner did my facial. WOW I was so happy with this relaxing facial, not only that but my skin looks amazing! I walked into this spa hoping for the experience I wanted, I had a private room to leave my things, relax in a robe with candles magazines and lotions to try.. it was my room the entire time which was nice to just leave my stuff out. That set the mood and it only got better from there. Quite, peaceful and spa like! This is by far my best spa experience ever and I was lucky to have been pampered for a day! Erin
Went here for a spa day with my girlfriends. We got massage and spa mani/pedis!! Love the atmosphere here, very relaxing. Will be back again soon!!
I needed to get my shoulders waxed for the first time. So I went here not knowing what to expect. Sure, I was a little embarrassed. But Jenny, the person who did my waxing, put me at ease. I thought it'd be painful, but I swear, it wasn't painful at all. Maybe a little sting(?) but that's about it. She did a great job and was very professional. I will not go anywhere else but here!
Pros: Great Location!
I had a terrible tension headache and Steve's wonderful hands cured me - thanks Ananya! Wonderful experience!!
I love the loft atmosphere in the spa, and although this was only my first time visiting for a massage, the service was spectacular and I look forward to making another appointment soon- Thanks Steve!
Pros: Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable
Cons: Parking can be tough
I have been getting sevices from Julianne for years. She is simply the best massage therapist I have every found. Now she is doing facials and they are just amazing. Its is like a whole experience. You get your face all pretty while you get an incredible neck shoulder and foot massage. Go see Julianne, you will love her too!
Pros: Best facial, waxing and massage
Thank you so much for the amazing message. I felt like a queen in your store. Your service was top notch! I will be back soon.
I want to recommend Naomi to anyone who is as big of a massage junkie as myself. You will not be disapointed!!!!! Go for the 90 minute....it is worth every penny. I read a few reviews on here with some complaint about the bathroom being out and down the hall.....after a massage like that who cares!!!!!!!!!!
The funky loft made me happy, the ambiance made me relaxed and the treatments make you feel like you're in heaven. This is the first time that i've tried this spot and i promise it won't be the last!
Definitely on my list of top 3 massages ever. For the first time in a long time I have absolutely no pain in my back or neck. I forgot how it feels to be completely comfortable. I have paid twice the amount for less than mediocre massages. Prices here are very reasonable.
From the moment you walk in it's very relaxing. Soft, quiet, relaxing music and lights dimmed. The massage rooms are off in the back, away from any noices and I didn't hear sounds from the city at all, like I have at several other places. Shawn, my massage therapist discussed with me the massage that would work best for me before he started. He managed to find every single knot I had and worked them all out. Afterwards, the receptionist gave me a couple people to call to get a haircut. My current stylist left and I've been struggling to find a new one. By far one of the best places I've been to. Can't wait to return. I'll definitely be trying a mani/pedi along with a massage next time.
Pros: Best massage in Seattle and very reasonable prices. Everyone there is super friendly
This place is too cute. It is quite cozier than most places I have been to. When you walk in you instantly feel relaxed by the candlelit room and the quietness of the place. The facial I received bas a perfect balance of clinical and rejuvenating, with the best massage I have ever received in a facial. I will send all of my friends and family here.
Pros: very private and quiet
I guess I just don't understand how this spa could have won for best facial. Mine was average at best. I've never had a facial before where the technician didn't use steam to open the pores before extraction. And after a very nice arm and shoulder massage while the mask was on (very nice touch), I was looking forward to the face massage...but it never happened!
The facilities are makeshift at best...super dark, beds are a bit hard, fan blowing right on you, bathroom outside) but I would have ignored all that if the facial were top notch. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth the hassle of commuting and parking.
Pros: People were very nice
Cons: Not worth the trip
My daughter and I were spending some time in Seattle and wanted to get a massage. We had read the reviews saying that Ananda spa was rated as having the best massages, but we had heard those words before and been bitterly disappointed. We had 2 different therapists (I hope I get their names correct) Naomi and Jose, both were excellent. If they are representative of the therapists there, then they do have the best massages. Let me add, my daughter is a massage therapist and I frequently have massages, so I think we are in a good position to judge.. Keep up the good work!!!
I have always been a big spa goer, but this is the first time I have ever taken the time to write a review. My experiences at Ananda Spa have been so wonderful that I have to put the word out! The decor is beautiful, peaceful, and welcoming. The same can also be said for the staff. They are always kind and eager to accomodate your needs. Specifically, after years of truly horrifying waxing experiences at other spas, I had come to believe that I was just one of those women who was too sensitive for waxing. My past experiences had been so bad that I even thought I might have a skin allergy to the waxes and sugars. I had finally given up on waxing when I began to hear great things about Ananda Spa. I figured I would give waxing one last shot. I was seen by Julianne, who is also the owner. I told her my terrible history with past experiences and she was so incredibly nice and PATIENT with me!! She did it slowly and used little tricks and methods specific to my sensitivity. I was shocked at well it went! I now see her regularly and it only gets better with every visit. So it turns out, I never had an allergy, I just hadn't found the right person. I cannot say enough great things about Julianne! She is amazing! So ladies, if you have any fears or reservations about waxing, or even if you are a seasoned waxing vet, you have to check out Ananda Spa. You will be so glad you did!!
I have worked in several spas around the seattle area and the facial I recieved from Julianne was the best! The room was super cozy and comforting after my rainy seattle walk. Julianne is super friendly and has an amazing touch. She used "Pevonia" products for my supersensitive skin. My skin felt super soft and healthy and I'm loving the products at home. My facial was finished by the most amazing neck and shoulder rub, I was ready to schedule my next massage with Julianne. Altogether a great spa experience I would recommend to all!
Just great service all the way around. I've been going to Julianne for massages for YEARS (followed her from another spa in Bellevue), and she is fantastic. She continues to learn new techniques as she goes, so each massage is just a little bit different... which is great! I've also received excellent facial treatments there. I'll be going back again and again, even though the spa is on the other side of Lake Washington... it's worth the trip!!!
Pros: Service, expertise, ambience, overall experience
I have a hair salon on lower queen anne and have been looking for a new massage person..and I found him here! Christopher is amazing, gifted, intuitive and STRONG. He says he can do a "fluffy" massage but I got worked over and really stretched out. I have never felt like someone accomplished so much in one session and as a hairdresser with iron shoulders and neck, that is saying a lot! If you need help with your body, give Christopher a try. Everyone here is top notch and the owner is very kind and personable. They are very professional!
Pros: all good
Cons: no bad
Service was incredible and it was hands down the best facial I have ever had. Very friendly and appointment started on time!
Pros: to many to list
I have been going to Ananda now for over a year. This is quite simply the best place to get a massage in Seattle. All of the girls working there give a fantastic massage - Julie Anne, Calm, Naomi, et al.
The 90 minute massage is my fave - just be prepared to be sooo relaxed as to melt!
Pros: Great staff, great massage
I have to say that my experiences with Vanessa have only been positive. Vanessa has done my waxing (eyebrows, legs, and armpits) and has made it an enjoyable experience. It seemed painless when she did it!!! She is always very personable and friendly, making you feel right at home. She has also given me advice on certain products to use for my dry skin, which helped when I tried them! :) All in all, Vanessa makes the spa experience a relaxing and pleasurable one!
Wow! I didn't know a facial could be this good. I've had facials in a number of places but I was just so pleased with this one. Vanessa made me so comfortable and relaxed I nearly fell asleep. She told me she's been doing this for years and it certainly shows. Her recommendations for my skin where right on target -not pushy at all. I have to say that no one has ever analyzed my skin like that! Thanks Vanessa for your help.
Pros: esthetician, products
Having worked in the Spa Industry for over half a decade, I can't help saying how refreshing it is to have found Ananda Spa. Immediately upon entering Ananda Spa you can feel the tranquil enviornment soothing your being. From the friendly greeting all the way to the end of your services, Ananda Spa will impress and amaze. Bring someone with you for a couples massage, or make a standing appointment like I did. I come in every Sunday for massage and it helps keep my life in balance. Thanks Julianne!
Pros: Ambience, Quality of Service
I initially came in to get a Lip and Brow wax with Jessica: Jessica has such a sweet bubbly personality and made what can be a somewhat uncomfortable appointment pleasant. My eyebrows were done perfectly, and NOT TOO THIN!, which is a pet peeve to say the least. My lip, on the other hand went smoother than I've ever experienced. This is a surprisingly tender area folks! She used a soft to hard wax (?) and did it all at the same time. Before I knew it, it was over. Then we started talking about my skin concerns, and since I WAS just laying there, I decided to get a facial too. She didn't try ot over sell me on ANYTHING, just the basic Signature Facial. How nice. She said it was all I need since she'd use all the tools and products she would need to get my skin in optimum condition. I beleive I fell asleep, because an hour was over so fast! I was pleasantly surprised to learn that she knows Reiki too, and explained that the energy just naturally flows during the facial. I WAS SO RELAXED! MY SKIN LOOKS LIKE A BABY'S YOU KNOW WHAT, and I'm definately coming back. Thank you for hiring this amazing esthetician called Jessica!
Pros: It's close to my work
Cons: This place is hidden, so get an early start, or you may miss it!
I had heard about Ananda Spa through a friend whom I trust knows the industry like no one else ...So I decided to take her advice and get some pampering. I drove into town during rush hour traffic and after once around the block I found something right in front.
The entrance was small and inviting like a little Zen boutique. I was greeted warmly at the desk and then approached graciously by the Esthetician Diane Oakley who gave me my signature facial. I was impressed by her instincts and felt she assessed my needs remarkably well. She was very pleasant and had such a nice calm voice I fell right into the "spa zone" and trusted her completely. Diane had the most nurturing touch I have ever experienced in a facial massage. The treatment room was like a sanctuary, I felt far removed from the hustle and bustle of urban life just steps away from the front door.
I felt so confident with Diane that I scheduled an appointment for a Brazilian and Brow waxing for a week later. This time I came on a Sunday and discovered ample parking. I experienced the same serene feeling as I entered the spa and haven of the treatment room. But the most amazing part was Diane?s skill with waxing. I have been getting Brazilians for years at a very reputable spa in the Northend and have never had such an easy time with it as I did with Diane. Between Diane?s expertise and the products that she uses, I had a wonderfully thorough Brazilian with so little pain. And the time (much less than my usual hour) and wax applications were so much less (1-2 vs. 3-4) than at this other salon, I was so impressed!
I recommend Ananda Spa highly and Diane Oakley will be my Esthetician for as long as I live and work in this city. My skin looks fantastic, I felt so rejuvenated and I'm hooked on the organic marine based product line. I even purchased some power repair cream. Anyone looking for a great facial and/or waxing (especially the dreaded Brazilians), go see Diane Oakley she's truly gifted!
Pros: Skilled Esthetician - thumbs way up!
Cons: Parking can be a little iffy on week days
I just visited Anada Spa for my first brazilian bikini wax with Diane, and it was absolutely amazing! Since it was my first waxing, I was really nervous and scared that it was going to be really painful but Diane put me totally at ease and kept a conversation going with me throughout the entire procedure. It really helped to keep me distracted and I barely noticed when I was being waxed! The waxing barely hurt at all and Diane did an amazing job! Ananda is an amazing spa and I will definitely be going back! The entire spa exudes relaxation which is reflected through all of the interior design, I was instantly relaxed the second I walked through the door. The girls at the front desk are really friendly and helpful, which helped to make this an all around amazing spa experience!
Pros: Ambience, Service
After reviewing many spas in the Seattle area, my friend and I decided to go to Ananda spa for a relaxing manicure and pedicure the day before our senior prom. Although we had gift certificates, we were prepared to spend over 50 dollars on top of our 50 dollar gift certificates in exchange for a relaxing, fun day. We set up appointments no problem, and drove about a half an hour to the spa. Parking was scarce, but we paid the 10 dollars and found the spa with a little bit of searching. But when we got there, the woman working informed us that the woman who was scheduled to do our manicure and pedicures had taken a vacation! This would have been fine if they had called ahead and tried to reschedule, but they hadn't! Worst yet, the woman said that this had happened to more customers than us, and they never offered any sort of compensation. So after the whole trip down there and paying for parking, we had no manicurist. Luckily, we found a small place just up the street. I will never be going back to Ananda spa after how they treated us and the situation.
This was my first brazillian wax so of course I felt nervous and embarassed. Chelsea made me feel very comfortable right from the start and was very friendly, nice and a pleasure to talk to. She would talk to you to get your mind off the fact that you are actually getting waxed. I didn't feel any harsh pain at all and was definately not as bad as I thought it would be! I would definately go see Chelsea for the waxes again! The girls at front desk are extremely nice and the salon itself seemed peaceful when I walked in. I can't wait to get their massages!
The spa is kind of difficult to find because it is in a building tucked away on the lower level. Their sign is hard to see so that's why it's easy to miss. Parking was bad that afternoon on Saturday, mainly because people were out and about that day since it was such a nice day. Be sure to get there early in case you have to circle around to find parking!
Pros: Professional staff, clean spa
Cons: Parking, needs better signs
Though I have not yet been to Ananda Spa, anywhere that Diane Oakley works has got to be golden!
Diane gave me a facial/massage back in April. The experience with her was every bit worth the money spent! Diane is not only extremely professional and adept, she has such positive energy surrounding her. You can feel the positive energy flow to you as her hands work their magick. Her clients are her total focus and you will not only see the benefits from the service, you will feel it. She works hard to pamper you and give you more than what you pay for.
The WAC lost a great lady when they lost Diane! She is the standard by which you will judge others in her field. I will definitely go back to see her again in the future and I recommend her to anyone looking for the total spa experience.
I have been waxing different areas of my body for years...unfortunately. But I have found a consistently GREAT waxer in Chelsea at Ananda Spa. I have relied on her expertise for years she always leaves my brows in great shape and her waxes are pain-free and fast. I also enjoy her lip and bikini service, sounds strange to say it like that, but she is a solid waxer. Not only are her brow waxes great she is an outstanding aesthetician and I highly recommend her facials.
Chelsea waxed my brows and did my brazilian, she is fantastic! I have had many brazilians and it is always something I dread. Not only did it not hurt as much when Chelsea did it, but she kept my mind on other things with pleasant conversation. Before I knew it the whole thing was over. My brows look great! The spa is adorable and I can't wait to go back for a facial.
After 3 months of coming here I have to say this is the best massage place not only in Seattle, but anywhere I have ever gone. I have had massages from 4 different people here and they were all incredible. How do they do it? The ambiance is nice and the staff welcoming.
Pros: Service and skill
as someone who travels a lot and gets a lot of massages in spas around the country, i can attest that calm gave me one of the best massages i've ever had...yes, her name is calm. obviously everyone has mentioned the bathroom outside and yes, i'm afraid to say that's a pretty big deal when you're doing the spa thing. the ambience is nice and funky and although hard to find the first time, parking is no problem on the street on a saturday. i'll go again for a massage for sure, but i do admit there are times i want a more serene experience and because i could hear the people in the hallway outside my massage room talking/laughing/answering cel phones, i was a bit disappointed. there should probably be a "be quiet" in here mandate for stuff like that.
Pros: massage skills, nice big massage room, ambience, easy saturday parking
Cons: noise from the talkers in the spa hallway, the bathroom thing
By the time you park and find the place in its odd location, you hope it'll be worth it but its not. My pedicure was average at best. It felt rushed and I never got a chance to relax. The polish was sloppy in spots and chipped the next day. The facility was ok but they only have one nail girl so you can't come with your friends and get your nails done at the same time. Overall it was like a $20 pedicure but I was paying more than twice that.
Patsy is simply THE BEST manicurist in Seattle. I have been using Patsy's services for over 2 years, and I will NEVER let anyone else near my perfect pink and whites. She is gentle and fast, using only her manual tools to file and buff, and she has never hurt me when I remove a set. The entire experience is relaxing and stress relieving, as Patsy is a fabulous listener. She always shows you that she is paying complete attention to you, and asks questions to make more conversation, which puts clients at ease. She relates well to everyone, is the epitomy of professionalism and class, and is worth every penny!
I have to say, this is the worst spa I have ever been to. I was made to wait over 20 minutes, even though it was like a ghost-town in there...I think maybe they were waiting for someone to show up for work. It was a lot of money for the most basic nail service, which was performed as though it was a practice run. I went home having to file a bit and retouch polish. For some reason I felt sorry for them...it seemed like a second-rate place. Anyway, I should have left immediately when the manicurist starting telling me about her money problems. I recommend spending time and money elsewhere.
feels so good! I had a massage with Lorie and I can't remember the last time I felt so relaxed. I decided to splurg and go for an hour and a half instead of my usual hour and that was a great decision on my part. Now I know why people say once you do the hour and a halfs, the hours don't seem like enough time. I say hours are for chumps! Lorie was fantastic and she glided over my body, gently yet effectivley working out my kinks. I like a good amount of pressure and she delivered it perfectly. I was in such a trance at one point in the massage, I actually drooled on the floor. Luckily the rooms are dimly lit ! I emerged from that massage with a new outlook. Lorie had banished the stress from my frantic brain and worked my muscles into a state of warm fuzzy bliss. Ella es el mejor!
Pros: Lorie, value
Cons: Diffucult to find the 1st time...Leave extra time to possibly get a little lost
Ananda Spa is for me the best place to go for massage in Seattle. Julianne is hands down fantastic and i have yet to find anyone that rivals her ability. i have recommended several people to this spa and have turned every one into a devoted fan. this last trip i found the staff engaging, courteous and professional as expected. In addtion to masssage i have also gone in for waxing and pedicure, both were also highly recommended.
Pros: Julieanne's massage.
Cons: parking can be difficult but easy to find a block away...the services you get are definitely worth walking a block or two.
This place is fantastic. I have fast become a regular of Julianne. First the space. I went with high expectations of the space from the website. I am pretty fussy and thought this was one of the most tasteful places I have been. Understand it is a contemporary urban environment which is part of the allure. Come in off the hustling streetscape down the newly updated former industrial space and open the door entering a beautiful and serene Zen space. The contrast instantly puts you at rest and draws you in. Very soft candlelit space welcomes you back to your room to the sounds of tasteful new age music.
The friendly warm staff is right there to greet you. And like another reviewer the minute Julianne extended her hand and beamed a big smile, I knew I found someone who really wanted to serve. The first impression is her great personality. She has the gift of being instantly at ease and putting you instantly at ease on the first meeting.
But the real treat is the massage. I am an "older" male with a lot of old injuries and stress points. In each massage Julianne has systematically worked her way through them, remembers what to return to and fulfills her mission of treating your aches and pains while providing relaxation. She has loosened up a chronic age old hip problem that has defeated other therapists.
She will make the time fly with engaging conversation or if you let her know your preference let you drift off to the music and candlelight. No wonder this has been voted Seattle's best. Julianne as the owner will not have it any other way.
Pros: Ambience. location, skill therapists, service
Cons: The first time there you have to look around the complex a little to find it.
I recently moved to Seattle and am a frequent spa goer so I've have been shopping around for a good place to go regularly. I had high expectations of Ananda based on the citysearch reviews, but i've been learning that the reviews don't always reflect reality. If you are looking for a "no frills" experience, this place is fine. If you are looking for a really nice pampering experience, this isn't the place to go. The services I got were good, but the location and facilities leave alot to be desired. First, there's alot of noise. My therapist was very apologetic, but I left thinking who puts a spa in an industrious loft space with noisy companies all around it and a loading dock underneath? Not very smart. Second, there isn't a bathroom in the spa. Huh? It's one thing not to have showers, but no bathroom? I saw a note on here from the business that the management won't let them have a bathroom but that's not the point. If you can't have a bathroom, don't put a spa there. If you go for multiple services and put on one of ther robes andhave to go to the bathroom, you have to go OUTSIDE in your robe. You walk past other businesses and a restaurant where people are eating outside, in your robe. Uncomfortable to say the least.
On the positive side, the services were good (great facial), the music was relaxing, the people were nice, the prices were good. So if you're on a budget and looking to go in for one service and be done, this place is fine(although not easy to find). The atmosphere and decor are fine for a basic experience, although you get the sense that it was just thrown together. Definitely not a place to go with a bunch of people or to impress someone important or to spend the day. But the services are on par with others I've had in the city so far, if not a bit better.
Pros: good services and prices
Cons: noisy, no bathroom, basic
Patsy has been doing my nails for years. I won't let anyone else near my hands and feet, in fact. The reason is because she provides not only the best manis and pedis in the city, but also the best customer service. It doesn't matter how stressed or anxious I am, when Patsy does my nails, I always leave feeling more beautiful and definitely more relaxed. Patsy is gentle with all aspects of her manis and pedis. I've had other manicures where I wanted to run out the door screaming because they were so rough. Patsy is *never* rough. My fingers and toes simply look like little jewels when she's done and, because she is so personable and so concerned about my needs, I leave feeling really happy and cared for. I assure you that if you go see Patsy, you will be spoiled and never want to go anywhere else for your manicures and pedicures.
Upon my first first to Ananda Spa...I was going in for touchy treatment...The ever agonizing Brazilian wax...dududu...This Brazilian is awesome! The technichian was very discrete and careful, with such a delicate area. I was so nervous going to a new person...but was put right at ease upon arrival. The space is beautiful and I wanted to stay, not run from the woman with the wax, like I normally do. The music was peaceful and the recepition, warm. In addition, the "area" was hair-free for two weeks plus. I have scince become a regular and see her every two weeks...I also sneek in a massage when indulging.
Pros: Warm, comforting
Cons: the bathroom is not inside
Been a client of Patsy's for more than 7 years!! Love her!! She's the best ever!! I get compliments on my nails constantly and it is all thanks to Patsy.
I have been a client of Ananda Spa for the past year. Julianne does the best massage I have ever had. I like deep tissue massage, but I also want to relax. In 90 min she works me over in sort of a dance. I don't know how else to explain it. I have also had nails and waxing there. All of the women there are so pampering, talented, and friendly. I feel like they really care. This place has my vote!!
Pros: Relaxing, and Pampering
Just had a great pedicure and manicure with Patsy at Ananda Spa. She gives the best hand and feet massages along with beautiful nails!
Went to ananda for the first time and saw kate for a brazillian. What a diffference! I always thought that brazillians were about the worst experience ever but I have to say, it wasn't that bad. That's saying a lot for me, as I don't feel I have a high pain tolerence. Kate was so easy going and a delight to talk with. She seemed much more skilled than other people I've been to around town. This spa also has a lower price for monthly matinence appointments which I like so I'm definately coming back. Very happy I found this place.
A coworker of mine told me about this incredible massage she recieved from Lorie so I had to go check her out for myself. I've had a lot of massages around town and most of the time I feel that I'm receiving a choreographed routine that isn't specific to my body's issues. The reason I loved Lorie is because she really listened to me and gave me this amazing massage that worked out all my problem areas. It was hands down, the best massage I've ever had. I'm totally hooked and she definitely has a client for life.
Pros: Lorie, Lorie, and Lorie
Cons: I can't take her home with me!
I went to the ananda spa for the first time for a massage. The visit had good and not so good points to it. The spa itself is tranquil and has a nice ambience. Also, the actual massage felt good and put my muscles at ease but that's where the relaxation ended. My masseuse ( who I found out is the owner ) talked almost the entire massage! I couldn't fully relax and left my massage feeling cheated out of my time to unwind. The reason I still recommend ananda is because the massage itself was good, The spa is lovely , and the woman at the front desk was really nice. My ony advice for anyone going would be to let the masseuse know that you want to relax during the massage and not be talked at.
I get a massage every year for my birthday, and until this year, I had yet to find a LMP whom I would like to visit again. This year, however, I found her. Julianne at Ananda Spa in Seattle has the magic touch! She did wonders for my tight back and applied just the right amount of pressure. I come from a family of doctors and LMT's, so I'd like to think I know a good one when I see one... and she is IT. She knew exactly which areas needed work and worked at them until they released. She's down to earth, personable, and just a genuinely nice person, with great skills. I will be back next year and the year after and the year after... and who knows, probably in between birthdays as well!
Kate is a Goddess!! Ive been seeing her for a few months now and have always had a excellent experience. Last week I had a brazilian and a full leg wax in 45min with minimum of pain! Go see Kate, you will love her.
Pros: The whole staff
I've had hot stone massage before but this was one of the best. Gerry (?) was really good and seemed to be very experienced and knowledgeable. The room was nice and relaxing. The receptionist was really nice and helpful and has been there a long time. She gave me some good advice on vegetarian restaurants since I'm new to town. On the negative side, the place is hard to find, and it seems like it would be pretty easy for them to fix that. LIke put a sign up on the street or something like the restaurant does. Or put put better instructions on their website, which doesn't have much info at all other than the treatments and prices. Also the bathrooms are outside of the spa down a hallway which was ok for me but would probably be a problem for anyone spending more hours there. Maybe they aren't allowed to build their own bathroom but it would be worth it. But I definitely recommend the hot stone massage and have heard all of there massages are top-notch.
Pros: hot stone massage, nice staff
Cons: finding the place, bathroom not in the spa
