Hoffman's Fine Pastries

I have been going here for years. Every pastry I've tried has been delicious ! Their special occasion cakes are so beautiful. Service is always great. They also have excellent sandwiches, the french dip is my favorite.

Everything here is exquisite. My favorites are the German Chocolate cake and the carrot cake, both best of their kind, as far as I am concerned. When I come in for lunch, I am especially fond of their quiche, which has a lovely short crust and various rich, creamy fillings.

The seating area is not quite as comfortable as the food is delicious, but you can't have everything.

Special occasion cakes ordered here are glorious to look at, as well as wonderful to the palate. They boast of being in the European tradition, and all I can say is, their food is so wonderful you feel transported by it to an entirely new place.

Prices are a little higher than lower quality counterparts at other places; you get what you pay for, and that is a lot.

PROS: Food as beautiful as it is delicious
CONS: Seating area is not as lovely as the food, though it 's okay

Hoffmans Fine Pasteries has been our Sunday morning stop almost since it opened about 20 years ago. Not only do they make delicious coffee cakes, bear claws, scones, and such, but incredible cakes which we have enjoyed for numerous celebratory events. Our favorite is the Chocolate Espresso Torte. They also offer a variety of cookies and small dessert items, as well as croissants and quiche. Light lunches are available, and the ham and cheese croissant is another favorite. Prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly. We love this place and their products!
