I see I am not the only one to experience terrible cleaning from Bakker's Fine Dry Cleaning; they just ruined my Hotel Collection Silk Pillow Shams and said it was the manufactures fault--not thiers. I have had those shams cleaned at another cleaners for five years with no problems and now the owner of Bakker's says it is not his fault and he is too busy to talk with me--he has eleven stores to run. Too busy for a customer? The also think because they have been in business 50 years they can't do wrong, I am hoping with this level of customer service they aren't in business too much longer. I am taking my clothes elsewhere.

I would recommend that you NOT go to this cleaner. Among other things that they ruined they MELTED my Burberry raincoat and then their CFO tried to tell me that Burberry was a crummy company and that the coat was defective. Well it wasn't defective the PREVIOUS five years when I lived in San Francisco and had it dry cleaned about once a month at a good dry cleaner. It was only defective when Bakkers fried it in their process which also ate the finish off the buttons of another coat of mine, turned my Piazza Siempioni pants to cardboard and at holes in a blouse. BAD BAKKERS. Ruins things and then won't assume responsiblity.

Pros: none

Cons: Ruined 3 expensive coats, pair of pants, shirt

I had a similar experience in that I decided to try Bakkers out with the 50% off coupon from the entertainment book. It was still pricey even after the coupon, my clothes came back looking just as dirty and wrinkled! What's worse is that they damaged one of my favorite cardigan! (It was an all black cardigan with black buttons, but it came back with white buttons - whatever machine they put my poor cardigan through scraped all the paint off!). I didn't bother with asking them to redo my clothes, the last thing I want is for them to do any more damage... :o(

I decided to try this place out for drycleaning services when I came upon a half-off coupon. I dropped off a bunch of shirts and blouses to have them cleaned, and they quoted me approximately a week before I could pick them up.

When I picked up the shirts, I discovered their prices were unbelievably high, and even with the half-off coupon, I ended up paying almost double the price of my regular drycleaner's prices.

My clothes were satisfactorily cleaned, but in the process, they detached some cufflinks on one shirt and consequently misplaced them. I did not notice they were missing until about a week later, and when I called the business I was dealt with rudely and almost "scolded" for not having called earlier. The manager said they could not find the cufflinks and that it was my fault for having "waited so long" before contacting them.

I would not recommend this place as you can get the same service at a much cheaper price, and with much better customer service, elsewhere.

PROS: My clothes were clean.
CONS: The prices were very high and they lost my cufflinks.
