I've shopped here several times for travel bags, travel books and supplies. They used to rent videos here, which was very nice when I was planning a trip to India.

They have most of everything one would need for a world trip. This is usually my first stop before planning any trip. Check them out before you plan to go anywhere.

The only thing I don't like about this book/travel supply store is that it can suck me in for hours and make my traveler's itch almost unbearable. A relatively small neighborhood shop, they carry the best in each category of items you need for a trip. Guidebooks abound, of course, but they also carry packs, gear, and gadgets to make your travels more enjoyable. Its also a great store for gifts, and if you ask, they will wrap anything you buy in beautiful gold, world map wrapping paper. They also feature in-store events like author readings/book-signings and free travel and language classes.
PROS: Selection, friendly, free classes

Sorry Wide World Maps, the staff could not
indentify an important country I requested
a map for. Perhaps a quick geographic
lesson is in order for the hired help.
