Trader Joe's

Although TJ's carries a lot of quality organic foods, their vegetables are almost always a little wilted and there is often a long line. They carry great meats & cheeses, but some of the products seem overpriced. The customer service is great!

PROS: quality food, friendly service
CONS: price, wilted veggies, long lines

Not only are the foods great tasting, the prices cannot be beat. I don't even bother buying salsa anywhere else. Trader Joe's is usually three dollars cheaper - and it tastes better. I load up on their Honey Mustard chips, vegetarian burgers, spanish rice, chocolate covered pretzels - the list goes on and on. Wonderful and fun place to shop.

Trader Joes is a great source of cheap foods - many are natural or organic, and some are unusual or impossible to find anywhere else. i originally started coming here because of the cheese which is priced pretty cheap, but i'm disappointed that they don't carry a certain brand of cheese from Holland anymore, Cantenaar - it was my favorite, and very cheap.

this is the only place to shop if you are on the ATKINS or the SOUTH BEACH diets. the meat and the cheese are high quality and low low prices. How do they do it? I think they're tied to the mafia

PROS: love those peanut butter filled pretzels.
CONS: they are SO busy all the time.

For a long time I never went to trader joes because I thought the prices would be too high for my taste.. But for some reason a few months ago I decided to go in, I have been in love ever since.. The selection is amazing and they prices are incredible.

The Trader Joes in the University District is one of my favorite grocery stores. The prices are fairly cheap, and it seems to be more stocked up with products than the new Capitol Hill store. They always have great deals on imported cheeses and the $2.99 specials of Charles Shaw wine are about the best deals you can find, and the wine isn't half bad. There are tons of organic options, and they have a great product line. I am a huge fan of their spicy hummus, and their almond hummus. Try it! You'll like it.

I really don't know what I'd do with out Trader Joes! It's by far the best place to go to for prepared foods, snacks, nuts, and vegitarian products. They have perhaps the lowest prices on Morningstar farm products, soy milk, and cheese-- oh their cheeses are good. And while they dont have a huge produce selection, what they do have is fresh and organic.

As you may notice, my rave for TJ's isnt a new thing.
This place rules! No doubt about it. The prices are awesome. The wine section...cheap and expensive choices.
The store is friendly for all types of eater(vegetarians, meat-eaters, vegan, pets). This is a win win situation.
There are lots of innovative food choices. The freezer section is my favorite. Yummy asain frozen delights.
The produce section is kind of small for me.

PROS: Cheap, wine, food, did I mention cheap?
CONS: Produce section

OK, first, I would say AVOID THE PARKING GARAGE unless you have a mini. Very small and cramped and hard to maneuver in. <End of Pet Peeve>. Trader Joes is a fun place where you'll always spend more than you expected. From amazing $3 wines to yummy dried fruits to a vast array of store brand frozen foods, this is a place to go for some bargains and some specialty items. It is not your 'everyday' grocery store. I am hooked on their cottage cheese, which I swear is better than any other brand I can get. If you haven't been to a Trader Joes - TRY IT OUT! There are more than a few in the area.

Okay, everytime I go into Trader Joe's I find something new. This store is full of healthful items to add to your diet. I have just discovered TJ's in the last six months and have fallen in love. I have lost 20 pounds converting to healthful foods, most of which I buy at TJ's. They also have awesome flowers. On Valentines' day I bought a dozen roses for $8. Yeah, can you beleive it?

Trader Joe's has just about anything you need for those unique recipes and organic cooking in general. I have found many non-traditional snacks and treats that I just love. Especially in the cookie isles! Their beverages are wonderful and their selection of sugar free drinks too. Everytime I shop there I have to treat myself to a bouqet of gorgeous, fresh flowers as well. Most of the time they have an employee offering free samples of a product or two which is always nice. They offer a wide selection of RBS-T free dairy products which are sometimes hard to find. They also have great organic pet products. Their produce is always fresh and priced affordably. I'm also in love with their unique candies! And lets not overlook the wonderful customer service; always fast and friendly. Another wonderful thing about Trader Joe's is that they donate a large amount of food to local food banks.

Great prices and unique products make this one of the best grocery stores in Seattle. They won't have everything on yuor list, but they have enough good things to keep you pretty well-stocked. The Trader Joe's brand is excellent. They also stock other brands you will recognize. Their prices on beer and wine are legendary. It's a great place to go if you are having a party or need to pick up something to bring to someone else's party. Food, snacks, and drinks on a budget that taste good! The best thing about Trader Joe's is that you can find things here that no one else has - very unbique products. A fun place to shop, although it is a little crowded. They also have a store on Madison in Capitol Hill.
