.

I'm a local in the Kingston Area for about 26 years and knew the past two previous owners/managers and they had it more together than the current owners. First, the food isn't really all that great. Second the service is usually always slow. Third the owner can be very rude at times and doesn't treat his regular customers with respect even though they are spending their hard earned money in his restaurant. This doesn't make sense to me.

Case in Point: Like many other local restaurants including Mickey-D's across the street, they provide a free internet service. I like to bring in my laptop and slowly eat and have a few glasses of water or soda and sometime followed up with some desert sticks, while I surf the net and write emails, etc. There are no signs posted as to how much time you are "allowed" to be in their establishment. There are also no signs posted as to what is their "minimal" charge ($). I usually spend between 8 to 12 dollars for an evening meal. The other night I had a lot of work to do so I took my time. I went in about 5:30 and stayed till about 8:30 back in a corner, not bothering anyone. I heard some of the employees making fun of my last name but said to myself...they're just kids having a little fun.

Then the owner walked in and yelled at me from across the room. Hey! (my name) "do you like to drink?" I said, yes, every once in a while a beer or a glass of wine. He said, something like I had to start ordering alcoholic beverage from him or stop "Camping out" in his place. Maybe he had a point...and maybe he didn't but he should have used a little more tact and respect as he is probably in his late twenties or early thirties and I am 61 year old Viet Nam Era War Veteran. I would not have to write this review if he would have just kindly walked over to me and politely explained to me that he has some sort of policy or time limitations rather than trying to feed his ego and bolster his own imagine in front of employees. I occasionally take my own home made smoked salmon in there and give it to his employees who like to fish and share stories. my point is that if he want's to become successful business owner he'd better learn that respect and common courtesy are still in style when you own a business you want to become successful. I myself will not go in there again and I??ll probably end up telling all my local friends about this too. So there you go Nick.....it's going to cost you.....Not me...as their are plenty of good restaurants with great owners/managers in your neck of the woods.

Under original management, Kingston's Pizza Factory is the best pizza around. The crust is hand tossed and the toppings are fresh, just the way they should be. U R my first and favorite pick!
