Horrible service. I am a youth group leader and I brought a group of high school students here for a special occasion. They obviously could not tell that I was an adult, and the age discrimination was very clear. We waited forever, only to sit in the dingy (and empty) back room. If they were going to seat us in that room, why not seat us half an hour sooner? I wanted coffee, but had to pull somebody aside and ask for it after sitting for a good 15, 20 minutes. When we finally ordered our food, it took almost an hour for it to come. Again, I had to ask for it and also ask for a refill on my coffee. The food was okay at best, definitely nothing special, it might have tasted better if it wasn't for the already bad taste in my mouth. At the end of the ordeal when we went up front to pay the lady (I think the owner) was extremely rude and when about half of our group was done paying she tried to take another family's bill in front of ours, the family was kind enough to insist that the rest of our group pay first. It really bothers me when restaurants discriminate against young people, especially since in this circumstance I made sure that all the girls left a 15-20 percent tip! I will NEVER go back there, they really need to start respecting all their customers regardless of age.

I love a good breakfast place but unfortunately The Pancake Haus fell flat. Sure, the pancakes themselves were tasty and the bacon was done just right. But the portions were astonishingly small and the scrambled "eggs" and omlettes were a joke. They were obviously "liquid egg product" and NOT the real thing. Rubbery and flavourless and outrageously overpriced. Sad to say, i won't be back.

The pancake Haus is an Edmonds institution. It has the best pancake breakfast I have had anywhere, hands down. The bacon pancakes are great- buttermilk pancakes with loads of crumbeled bacon cooked into them. The only downside is the long line.

Pros: Best pancakes anywhere

Cons: the prices went up-bring money

Who cares if it's busy ..that's to be expected. The pancakes are delicious. It isn't an upscale place to dine on Sunday but I feel it was worth it. I like it better than the large chain places that serve pancakes. It's definately better then the Family Pancake House in Lynnwood. When I've been at this place the line was long but it didn't seem to take us too long to be seated. I was with people I could have a good conversation with while waiting.

I've heard that this place is pretty popular for weekend breakfasts, and decided to try it recently when I had some out-of-town guests. Had to stand in line for more than 45 minutes to get a table, which was a problem since 2 in my party were elderly and no seating was offered during the wait. They then put us in a dingy, musty smelling, unheated back room and it was another 30 minutes before they even came to see if anyone wanted coffee. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and bland. I sure don't understand the reason for the lines out the door, and won't be going back. I also thought the prices were on the high side for a greasy little hole-in-the-wall like this. One could get a better breakfast at any Denny's (and I am no particular fan of Denny's) for half the price.

I ate here recently, and was disappointed. It looked as though no one had been doing routine maintenance on the interiors since it opened. Used to be a great place to take company on Sunday morning for a leisurely breakfast with lots of non stop coffee and great wait staff.
Nothing quite came up to my expectations this last visit. Seemed to have slipped in all areas, still pretty good food, but I prefer to spend my money on something better than just pretty good.
Lots of parking, shares the lot with a grocery store.

Even if you have to wait a long time for a table, still the best place for breakfast on a Sunday morning! German pancakes are delicious!

Pros: Good Parking, Inexpensive, Friendly

Cons: Crowded, Noisy at times

This is a small, cozy, nostalgic pancake haus that has the BEST German pancakes you'll ever find. The locals like to visit over coffee for hours and it's fun to see familiar faces here. Their friendly hostess has even been there for 27 years!!

Their 2nd location, near Northgate, closed a few years ago. We hope this Edmonds landmark stays here for many years to come.
