I'll start with my biggest gripes:
1 - their telephone number has said "out of service" for two days. And I left messages prior to for an appointment. Didn't hear back.

2 - Every time I go for any service, at the end, they walk me to the front and stand there until I write the tip on the receipt. I love you girls, I really do, but it is so unclassy and has happened for years. It's not even slightly resembling a "see you off" escort out. It's up to the front until that moment when I write the tip amount on the receipt and then boom they are gone and I finish my business and walk out the front. I've tried standing there but just wastes my own time.

3 - Hearing really bad unprofessional conversations about fights/boyfriends, etc. when they step off to the side in the back but you can still hear the and see their arms flapping, etc.... I don't mind when I am being serviced hearing about their lives (even if it is complaints) as I do share mine too. But while getting a pedicure or nails (with someone else) I don't want to see them all in a huff on their cell yelling at someone.

Best parts:
+ Rosie is amazing at nails and super sweet.
+ All waxing people are great - guys and girls.
+ They have some of the best stylists and colorists around.
+ Great for guys! Especially businessmen down in the city.
+ Receptionists used to be amazing, so sharp/on the ball, friendly, etc. Something has changed, not sure what.
+ Music there is good/decent/not too loud.
+ The salon is always clean
+ They do what you ask but also give you input in a really nice way - never condescending... And I am open to their input and happy that they are 'looking out for me' to keep me from looking like an idiot!

Decor seems odd and outdated... especially for the image they all seem to portray. Personally they all dress great (except for one receptionist who is just dowdy and it doesn't make sense that she works in a SALON). The "brand" is really confusing as most of them look hip, fashionable and the floors are nice but there are a lot of other things from the 80's/90's and colors that feel old. Maybe it's really expensive to change things out, so I don't want to discriminate that. So when you walk in, just ignore that and give them a chance :)

I have very difficult grey hair that I choose to keep colored. Christina suggested working into a lighter color as my grey progressed. She builds depth with varying degrees of colors that always looks natural. She does a great cut too!

PROS: Good for color and cut
CONS: None

I had a brazillian waxing done here a few months ago and it was only OK. This is more of a hair salon than a spa. The room is hidden off in the back and not relaxing. I was made to wonder how much waxing experience the girl who worked

Darcy at Salon Metro does an outstanding job on eyebrows! She is shapes them perfectly and is such a pro that I can be in and out in about 5 minutes. She is also really friendly and very nice. A word of caution - if she's not available DON'T see Jenny. I went to her in a pinch and not only did she do horrible job - uneven eyebrows! But she complained about people the entire time.

PROS: Darcy for eyebrows, flexible appointments, friendly receptionists
CONS: Jenny for eyebrows
