Great staff, great service!  5 Star Rating - World class

I have been taking my two cats to Broadway Veterinary for almost 5 years and have never had a single complaint. The front desk has always been very responsive, it's easy to get fast appointments and the wait time in the lobby is minimal. And the care they have provided for my cats has been outstanding to say the least.

Recently, we adopted a senior Chihuahua who had rotten, loose teeth and heart problems. We had to make a difficult to decision to move forward with dental surgery to improve his quality of life. The vets were great at not coercing me to make this decision and were great at explaining the risks associated with the procedure and also walking me through the process, precautions and important information. The didn't leave any of my questions unanswered and didn't make me feel guilty when I had doubts and concerns. When my dog went in for the procedure, I was confident he was in the best possible care and the procedure was a great success.

I can't thank Broadway Vet enough for their high level of customer service and for the great care they have provided to my pets.

This is the worst vet I have ever been too!!!  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I have to say that these people basically are horrible! I sat in there office for over 3 hours trying to get them to help my little kitten and all they discussed the ENTIRE time was money. They didnt once say anything about helping my pet, it was just money money money. If I didnt know any better I would have said our veterinarian was a car sales man not a doctor. I ended up paying $150 for antibiotics and a 2 day supply of pain medicine when what my kitten really need was to have stitches put in. But I can gladly stay is that I found a REAL vet that actually cares about my kitten and not how much money I have in my pocket and thats what it should be about. These people are scammers and in my opinion and based on the reviews of others, I think this place should be shut down. They are horrible and I would never recommend anyone to them!!

They wouldn't help my dog.  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

All they had to do was sell me a cone, but they wouldn't. We had been clients of this vet more than 5 years ago when we lived in Capitol Hill. Recently my dog's allergies acted up, and we were in need of a long cone that was also narrow enough to stay around her neck (which we could not find at petco etc.). We had purchased one at this vet many years ago, and so I made the long drive to get another. However this time, they would not sell me a cone, as we were not present clients. They didn't offer any solution. I can't see their reasoning. Are they protecting the world from non veterinary supervised dog cone abuse? I personally was disturbed by their lack of compassion for my itchy dog. (She was bleeding from three spots where she had chewed her fur off.) I have to guess they are not in the business primarily to help animals. (I did, in the end, modify a petco cone - string, worked well.)

expensive AND careless!  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Our dog had an eye ulcer that required surgery elsewhere. They waited until they could charge us for a week's worth of worthless visits before telling us to get the inevitable surgery. Even worse, during one visit the doctor examining our dog's eye dropped a cotton ball on the floor, picked it up and proceeded to wipe our dogs eye with it. If she would do that right in front of the owner I can't imagine what she does behind closed doors. After that we said we would never see that doctor again and told the staff as much. But the next visit our desired doctor was in surgery and they handed our dog over to the cotton ball dropper. Hardly worth the thousands of dollars we have handed over to them, or their convenient location. Really, better care is available elsewhere for less money.

A ripoff  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

One word to describe this place - Ridiculous.

This Vet is the worst I have ever experienced, it's not only the sky high cost for a piece of health certificate ($1000, yes it's $1000) while you can get as low as $25 dollars somewhere else for the exact same certificate, but also the poor customer service, the one who I talked with over the phone was rude and have attitude, I was told at the end after I have asked the cost for the health certificate and asked the reason why that cost $1000 dollar: "Oh, I'm sorry, we don't do health certificate anymore", then hung up.

Ha, I was just disappointed.

Simply, if you have tons of money in the bank and is willing to overpay, this Vet is the one you are looking for, otherwise, beware.

Very disappointed  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Just to set up an appointment is a dissapointed experience; nobody answers the phones, always the voice mail. So if you do not call over an over, you will not hear from them. After several attempts, the receptionist always says I was just ready to call you, without knowing who I am. It is harder to set an appointment, and do not think about calling them for emergencies, they will schedule your pet in two days, if you are lucky. I am glad I changed vet.

great care but still a ripoff  2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

I've been taking my puppy there since I got her and the staff has treated me well and the care they have provided has been excellent but at a cost that is to say bluntly, unethical. We all love our pets so when the vet tells us it's going to cost X amount of dollars to take care of them we typically ask where to sign. Well today I signed but then looked into what other vets charge when I got to work (didn't help that they provided me the estimate I requested months ago right when I dropped my dog off). What I found out enraged me...I'm getting charged three times the amount my old family vet charges for the same operation. Their response when I confronted them with this information was, "well we provide superior care for your money." I honestly don't know what kind of superior care they can provide for $400 more then my long time family vet in the south sound charges. I hate to worry about money when it comes to my pet but I had to draw the line with this last trip. From now on I'll drive my dog to a vet 30 miles away for her visits to a vet that provides superior care and at the same time doesn't rip me off.

That's just the beginning too...I won't even get into detail about the guilt-trip looks I get when I can't perform the elective care because I need to pay rent to keep a roof over both our heads...

I believe they truly care about the health of your pet and do provide "superior care" but I also believe they care little about the impact their overly high prices has on the owners pocket book and the rotten position it puts us in.....our pet VS $$$.

Too much...  2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

I give kudos to Dr. Coones exceptional care and diagnostic ability. However, in recent visits to the clinic (have been going there over the last 15 years), I have been increasingly bombarded with marketing tactics by them that are subtle but obnoxious. They charge far more than other clinics for office visits and continually recommend frivolous, very expensive tests and procedures. I think for wealthy, upper-class households, they provide "Cadilac" care. However, I would not recommend them for the middle-class individuals who have to work for their living.

PROS: Knowledgable
CONS: Push unnecessary procedures and charge more than other vets.

loving clinic  5 Star Rating - World class

We have been taking our elderly cat here for some time now, and we have never had a problem. She has needed to have a few procedures done, which can get costly but nothing to major. We are always able to come right down to this clinic without a long wait and the staff always takes excellent care of her, and us.

PROS: loving caring staff
CONS: high fees

In Good Hands  5 Star Rating - World class

My cat had an emergency and I took her into
the Broadway clinic. Not only did they take
good care of her but of me! I knew she
was in good hands and they kept me
informed the whole time.

Thieves!  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

This vet cares more about their pocket books than about people's pets! Don't be fooled by their overly concerned faces. They tried to tell me that my cat would die without their costly $3,000 treatment, but when I took her to get a second opinion at the fabulous ACCESS emergency clinic, they told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with her. Don't let these people steal your hard-earned money!

PROS: Non
CONS: They will rip you off

Costly but excellent pet care  4 Star Rating - Very good

I've had my cat checked up at this clinic a couple times. The staff will make you and your animal feel comfortable. The only drawback is the cost of pet care here. But it's worth it if you love your pet as much as I do!
