Had a wonderful time at the visit, met the principal Gray and enjoyed her very much, she told me to apply. After I submitted my application and the fee, I recieved an e mail that a new principal was to review my application, because the school was not renewing principal Gray's contract. I got a voicemail from the new principal denying my application. Very unprofessional and vague. Left him a voicemail he never called me back! It took a complaint and a letter to get a hold of him. Not cool.

I had a totally different idea of what Catholic school was all about as I was growing up. This school was a very pleasant surprise! The community is diverse, both faculty and students which I love for my children. The staff will push your student to exceed and inspire them to make great choices. My son who graduated 8th grade last year says he loved the small school environment making it easy to make friends. He now attends Odea and is steps ahead thanks to St. Therese. I would reccomend this school to anyone, Catholic or not. Don't judge the book by it's cover, this school is truly a hidden treasure.

A great school for a great value!! Academically --great!. And last year 23 out of 25 8th graders were accepted into other Seattle private High Schools! The tuition is affordable, and the kids also learn how to be "good" people and good to each other. The school is Catholic, but not parochial, so if you aren't Catholic like me the religion aspect is very mild. Mostly they focus on religious values of compassion, respect, and leadership---and it makes for great kids. I have never seen such a well behaved group of middle school kids. The school is also very diverse---something I really value. The school is small and the parent community is wonderful---I feel like I am in a family. This is a hidden gem and I am glad I found it! There are some really nice families here! I see an older review that is negative---I have NEVER experienced this.

Pros: Diversity--Nice kids & nice families. Small "family" feel!

Cons: Small so can't offer as much as big schools-but worth it!

St. Therese provides a great education, and is very reasonably priced. Graduating students are prepared for college prep schools. Students are respectful to each other, and learn to be a part of their community.

Not certain what the "mission" is at this very inner-city struggling Catholic K-8 school. One classroom per grade. LOOKS good on paper, however, if you end up in a class with multiple problem kids - your kid is outta luck. Administration (or lack thereof) seems to ignore perpetual parent complaint while many families remain committed and devoted to turning this little school around. Church population and school population are really separate bodies. Complete overhaul is needed from the top down as well as the physical building which needs a major overhaul.
