Thai Siam is my FAVORITE Thai place in Seattle for two reasons. The first and most obvious is the food - standards like phad thai and phad see ew are delish. Other favorites include pineapple fried rice, basil lovers and garlic lovers delights as well as the swimming rama. The second reason I love Thai Siam is that they are a valuable and generous member of their broader community. Each summer they hold a fundraiser - all-you-can-eat buffet with thai music and dancing - and each year they beat the fundraising record set the year before. They donate well over $10K to homeless shelters and other regional charities every year. This year they also offered a free Christmas dinner for those who were having a rough year. Support a great cause and a great business by eating great food - what's not to love? One warning though, That Siam is serious about the spice - three stars can be overwhelming for all but the most serious spice lovers. I recommend going for fewer stars than you're used to, as you can always add more chili after the fact.

Pros: Excellent thai food, friendly service, cozy venue

Cons: Very little parking, take-out takes awhile, beware the spice

Ive moved into the Crowne Hill neighbor for about seven years. When I first moved here, Thai siam was just Down the street from my house, so I decided to give it a try. I'm so happy that I tried it!! Everything there is so fresh, staff are super friendly and inviting. I've never had a bad experience here! If u go to Thai Siam be sure to try the chicken delight( chicken and cashews stir fry) undersea( red curry with seafood) and their autumn dish. I always bring everyone that I know here. Some nights I even find my neighbors!! LOL

Let me preface and say that I rarely speak up when served a meal that is not to my liking and just think to myself that I will just not order that next time,There will be no next time at Thai Siam.We ordered the spring rolls and fried rolls, which were ok, and were pleasantly surprised at how fast they came out. With 2little ones with us, that is always helpful but that was probably the only thing that I can say positive about my expereince there. Our order came ChickenFried Rice, not much chicken or flavor in rice, and 2Chicken Phad Thai.Having had a long week of work, I was very excited to enjoy this. Not only were the noodles a flourescent orange but it had a very funny flavor. My boyfriend and I were trying to figure out what it reminded us andI figured it out once we left the resturant,The taste had a Dog Food flavor. Not that I eat dog food but the scent you get when you open up a bag of dogfood was that of the Phad Thai there.SoI mention it to the waiter, who then sends another waiter over who then tells me he will talk to the manager and figure out what to do.I was confused,First of all it is never easy to bring something like this up and I was extremely respectful of delicatley bringing this up to him so as not to say it too loud so other can hear. The best part is that he comes back with out saying anything, throws the bill on the table and then keeps the charges of the 2Phad Thai on the bill.So now I have to round up my girls who now have to witness me talking about this delicate subject once again at the front &now there are people everywhere who are waiting to be seated who will hear the conversation. Can we say, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.Customer Service 101, Never try to humiliate your customers because in the end you make a fool of yourself. As I go up In front of 12others to tell them to kindly take the charges off he rudely tells me that in 21 years no has ever complained of the Phad Thai.WOW!! Left thinking, I would never want anyone to go through what I did.

My girlfriend and I ordered two dishes and an appetizer for takeout from Thai Siam. Having never eaten here before we gave it a shot. I am incredibly disappointed, hence the need to rate and review the place. Princess Rice, Thai Siam curry, and the fresh rolls are what we ordered. All of these are sad examples of what Thai cuisine can be.
The fresh rolls aren't even worth mentioning, and the peanut sauce tasted like Skippy. The rice dish was obviously made with canned vegetables and was poorly seasoned- it tasted like oily ketchup on half-cooked rice and microwaved frozen vegetables. The curry was much like the Princess rice in that the ingredients are simply garbage. As for the curry, it was thicker than thick and coconut milk was the only prevalent flavor beside the spices. My girlfriend likes a mild-spiced dish, and although I prefer my food rather hot, the 2 star that we ordered was more like a 4 star.
Apparently, the people in the kitchen simply don't have any regard for their customers. If they eat this food at home, I would be completely dumbfounded. It seems that they think they can serve sub-par food to an unknowing customer base simply because they have next to no competition in this neighborhood. I will not recommend this place to anyone.

My family and I love Thai food and have been eating here for years. The chef/owner makes the best peanut sauce I have ever tasted, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. They offer consistently delciious and mouth watering Thai food, and offer back a portion of their proceeds each year to local charities. Try Thai Siam, they are wonderful!

I live in the Greenwood area and I believe this is the best choice for Thai nearby.
It doesn't look very classy on the outside but the atmosphere is comfortable. Phad Thai tastes like it's made with ketchup so avoid that if you're a more traditional Thai fan. The Tom Ka soup is good. The seafood is fresh. I recommend the Kee Mao and the fried rice.

My sister and I were about to leave for our standby Thai Restaurant when our neighbor suggested Thai Siam telling us that it is the best Thai he has ever had. We went to Thai Siam on 15th and havnt been to our standby since! The service is phenomenal as is the food and it is very authentic and not Americanized like some of the more swanky Thai restuarants. They cook their tofu to perfection and the peanut sauce is good enough to eat on its own! I recomend the Phad Thai and the Rama Garden and honestly I doubt that anything on the menu is less then amazing. They also put on a benefit dinner each year for different organizations and last year raised over $19,000 which is outstanding.

We go here at least once every two weeks. We are Thai junkies and kept looking around until we found our spot. This is IT. Everything is done well...the service is always good. The only thing odd is that you have to ask for rice with any of the curries...but it is a small price to pay.

My wife and I have been here many times over the years and we've yet to have a bad experience.

The food is always great - fresh, hot, and delicious; the service is always attentive, but not overbearing. While the restaurant isn't overly fancy, it doesn't detract from the dining experience. There are enough Thai-themed art and artifacts to keep the views interesting.

As one reviewer previously noted, they have a benefit dinner each year where all the procceds are donated to various charities. It's nice to see a business give back to the community and it makes you wonder why all businesses don't do the same.

The dining area is not large and isn't really configured to entertain large parties at a single table, but this is definitely a "don't miss" Thai dining experience.

This restaurant is always packed during dinner time and rightfully so, as they have in my personal opinion the best Thai food in Seattle. Every single dish on this menu is mouth-watering and more than satisfying when you have a craving for Thai food. From the Top of the World to the Yellow Curry, everything on the menu is heavenly and delectable. Surprisingly, the prices are very reasonable, especially for the amount of food you get. The regular waiters/waitresses are so charming and attentive. Although it can get pretty cramped in there due to limited space and so many people waiting, I believe it's worth the wait!

PROS: Food is beyond comparison as well as service
CONS: Parking can be limited and it can get pretty crowded

This is the best Thai food in town I've had yet. There are items on the menu - I've never seen at other restaurants. The servers are extremely attentative, making sure everything is perfect. You can special order your food with Chili, Fish sauces, dried chili or chili spiced fish sauce on the side to further customize the flavors in the dishes. What especially impressed me, was the perfection of their vegetables. The stir fried eggplant is beautiful to look at as it is to the taste. Every red and green bell pepper, onion, and eggplant is wok fried at different times as to preserve the crisp freshness of each vegetable - an art of cooking only an expert knows how to do. The curries are authentic and the noodles fresh with flavor. Every dish I've tried here delights me each time I return!

Siam is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Seattle. The service is always good - although it can be a little slow on weekend nights. The fresh rolls are perfect, especially in the summer when you may want something that is not super hot. Also some of the best curry in Seattle.

I love Thai food. It s one of the best types of cuisine and this restaurant is always worth going to. The atmosphere is nice they even have a musical on the weekends to set the mood. Food is delicious I recommend the Thai Beef salad and the basil chicken, and of course Pud Thai, one of the best Pud Thai in Seattle. They have a banquet room if you have a really big party (only a problem is they wont do separate checks for the banquet room but most restaurants these days are that way). They also have a full bar with mixed drink that are good too. It is a great place good food and service.

I never liked Thai food until I came to Thai Siam. They have the best Phad Thai noodles. If you order a side of peanut sauce, you can put it on the noodes and it's fantastic. You should try the mongolian beef in the oyster sauce. Yuuummmyyy!

Nothing fancy here, just great food with great service. The staff treats you like family. All dishes are good - the curries, the soups, the noodles. Try the Young Coconut dessert or the Butternut Squash Custard - I've never had anything like it.

A few of my Thai food snobs friends don't agree with me, but it is the best. I used to work down the street and would go there for lunch at least once a week. I didn't even have to order. Chicken Pud Thai, no onions, one star. You won't be sorry. Since moving away a year ago, I haven't even been able have Thai food at all. I miss the glory days.

I love the food at Thai Siam. I live down the street and am so incredibly happy that I have a restaurant of this calibur within walking distance from my residence. They consistantly exceed expectation. And they have a annual charity banquet dinner that all proceeds go to local charities. You gotta love 'em!

I love this restaurant. I keep trying other Thai restaurant, go back to Thai Siam and wonder why I even bother. I have taken several friends here and they have returned over and over just as I have. The only person who didn't like it was my cousin from Reno and she is a meat and potatoes no flavor kind of person so she doesn't count.
