These people are thieves. We spent over 400 dollars on one of our cats. They said he needed xrays and they never provided us with the results. Very, very bad set of clinicians that bottom line - don't tell you how much they are going to charge then run up a million dollar bill. Warning: GO ELSEWHERE!

We have taken our pets to Dr. Watkins for many years, as well as our 4 Guide Dog puppies. He has ALWAYS been deeply caring and honest in his recommendations of treatment and care. He follows up with us on every issue we have had with our cats and dogs and has demonstrated concern and respect for any necessary charges. We feel fortunate to have found such sincerity in our vet; we trust him with our loved ones.

We have raised three guide dog puppies in training and Dr. Watkins and his staff have always been amazing in treating these puppies. Not only do they follow all of Guide Dogs for the Blind guidelines for puppy vaccinations, spay and neutering, they do it all as their contribution to Guide Dog for the Blind. Dr. Watkins and his staff are always upbeat, knowledgeable and follow up on all our concerns. Great Service! Great Staff!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Watkins and the staff at Sammamish Highlands Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Watkins has been treating my pet dogs for many years resolving all issues with such care and concern - as if each pet was his own. We also raise puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind. All of our pups love to go see Dr. Billy, who often treats these special pups without charge. He has a heart of gold and we are, indeed, luckly to have found him.

his happened several years ago, but it still makes me angry, so I thought I would write a review to warn others. Our Labrador retriever was 14 years old and obviously was dying of old age. But we weren't 100 percent sure that there wasn't some other reason she wasn't eating and getting so thin, so we brought her to Sammamish Highlands Vet Clinic, just to be sure (she had been a patient there before). Instead of just telling us straight that our dog was old and dying, the clinic performed what I now believe was unnecessary surgery that cost us $2,000. Instead of prolonging her life, it made the end of our poor puppy's life more miserable. She ended up dying about a week later. Sometimes vets just have to tell you that I'm sorry, but doggies get old and stop eating and stop drinking and they die. I feel like they were playing off of our sadness and worry and figured we were easy targets to get more money out of us before our dog died. I think this vet clinic was very unethical and would never take any of our other pets here ever again.

the staff doesn't seem to care about the well being of the pet - only interested in writing a prescription to send you back out the door. the front desk is occupied by unfriendly and immature high school students who are only there to earn their paycheck and not concerned at all with the well being of the animals.

Pros: convenience for those who live on sammamish plateau

Cons: unfriendly staff, poor service

We used to take our dog to this clinic, but would not recommend it to anyone. It seems like the vets do not know what they are talking about and are unable to diagnose any conditions outside of the normal dog and cat diseases. My dog was having eye problems that were not going away, but instead of referring us to an eye doctor as she should have, the vet simply gave us antibiotics and told us he just had a little infection. Three months, 2 more visits, and hundreds of dollars later, we were finally referred to a specialist who informed us that our dog needed major eye surgery for ingrown eyelashes. I also know of a few people who have had bad experiences at this clinic with seemingly simple procedures such as de-clawing and spaying and neutering. The facilities are dingy and the vets present themselves as being almost uneducated. If you are looking for a good vet close to Sammamish, I would recommend Beaver Lake Animal Hospital; don?t waste your time taking your pets here.

Sammamish Highlands Veterinary Clinic is the best veterinarian around. They have saved my kitties on several occasions. Their vets are so kind and caring and listen to all of your issues with you pets. They also have a great boarding business as well. They stock all the medicines you might need as well as specialized food for your cat or dog. Often times I haven't had enough money to pay the whole bill so they've let me make payments on it. I can call them anytime I have a question or a concern and they'll always take the time to talk with me.
