.

Long list here.\n\nI bought a boat in tough shape, so took it to Rick's to get all repaired and ready for the upcoming season. Had them install a float switch for bilge pump also. That float shorted the first season. So I put one in myself. The tune up was expensive! To fix the leak and the tune up he charged nearly $2750 He told me it ran, and that he had adjusted the carb so it ran ok. Next season I go to start it will start. barely. It will not run in gear. So I take it apart. The carb is so corroded that the choke plate doesnt even move! Now he didnt cause this but how in gods name could he not have noticed! So I bought a new one and did it myself. He fixed a leak in the exhaust manifold. That is back! So I will have to fix that myself. The shift cable he charge $750 dollars to replace! Outrageous. Should have done it myself. Hello mechanics, not everyone is clueless and will take it. I fix cars and boats all the time and just didn't have the time. I guess if you want anything done right you have to do it yourself.

Pros: convenient

Cons: rip off, and doesn't fix
